Human World – North America – Canadian Border.
"BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM…
"THUNDER!"
A powerful explosion resounded as lightning bolts fell from the sky, making the very earth tremble.
In the midst of it all, Adam and Zeus could be seen exchanging blows at high speeds.
Adam broke through Zeus's guard and sent a powerful right hook, but Zeus wasn't holding back either.
"PLSSSSSTTTTTT…
Zeus's and Adam's faces turned at the same time as both spat out a strange liquid—Zeus expelled something golden while Adam spat out something red that resembled blood, yet when it touched the air, it dissolved into small particles.
Adam and Zeus were blown backward, a fist mark appearing on each of their cheeks.
Adam sighed—this was beyond annoying.
Zeus raised a hand to his chin, noticing something dripping. He wiped it only to open his eyes in shock at the sight of his own divine blood… This inferior, useless being had wounded him… him… the great Zeus.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO…"
"BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM…
Adam shielded himself with his arms as a powerful explosion began to consume everything. He could feel human presences approaching and…
"BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM…
Adam looked on with some surprise as a missile neared Zeus's position and simply exploded.
Not far away.
Watching everything from the top of a snowy mountain stood Yoruhime, holding a sword shining with radiant light, a weapon forged by Gaia capable of permanently killing the Olympians.
She was merely waiting for the right moment to intervene and end it all, but things had taken an unexpected and very interesting turn. Maybe Naruto was right—it would be far more fun to simply watch the world burn and let the strongest survive. A true rebellion for survival.
"Hmhmhmhm…"
Yoruhime chuckled under her breath, her eyes glowing with a perverse red light, before turning around to leave. Adam was more than capable of escaping or ending it himself, though Zeus would eventually return to life. No matter… this was entertaining.
Meanwhile, in Africa, things weren't very different. Humans living there stared in disbelief as water fell from the sky—something unusual, as it wasn't the rainy season, and a sandstorm had recently swept through.
"Look!"
Someone in the crowd shouted, pointing to a massive wave rushing toward them with frightening speed and force.
The surrounding people fell to their knees, one thought dominating their minds… the end of the world.
But at that moment, a flash of light shone, and to everyone's disbelief, the water vanished.
Shiva cursed. He could no longer sit idly by—everything was spiraling out of control too quickly. What is happening?
Underworld – Grigory – Conference Room.
Here, the powers and leaders of Grigory gathered at the emergency call of their leader.
Shemhazai – Deputy Governor General.
Barakiel – Vice Governor General.
Armaros – Anti-Magic Researcher.
Sahariel – Moon Researcher.
Penemue – Chief Secretary.
Tamiel – Head of the Business Department.
They were the backbone of Grigory, wielding the greatest authority within the faction alongside their leader, who soon entered the room.
Azazel – Governor General of Grigory and Special Technology Advisor.
Around a round table, all eyes turned to Azazel as he took his place. His slightly unsettled expression drew the curiosity of those present.
Azazel sank into his seat, letting out a deep sigh before falling silent.
The others glanced at one another but refrained from speaking, allowing him to calm himself before starting the meeting.
Barakiel raised an eyebrow.
Azazel closed his eyes, inhaled deeply, and exhaled, trying to steady his heart.
Suddenly, the door to the room opened, but none of them were alarmed—it was Penemue's assistant bringing the usual drinks and documents on Grigory's development.
Penemue smiled and nodded at Mary, a clever young Fallen with two wings who diligently helped her manage her work.
Mary smiled back at Penemue and began placing drinks in front of each leader along with tablets containing documents. Even though it was an emergency meeting, such gatherings were rare, so they often used the opportunity to catch up on faction progress.
Azazel took his glass and downed its contents in one gulp without hesitation. The familiar sensation gave him comfort. He was back in his fortress, his shield… Good.
The others also drank and browsed the documents provided, waiting for their leader to explain himself.
After a few more minutes and Mary's departure, Azazel finally spoke, immediately drawing everyone's attention.
Azazel: "As you already know, Kokabiel has betrayed us and went to the human world with his own plans…" – he explained, and everyone nodded in understanding.
Azazel: "I sent Vali to stop him, but I also went as backup in case something happened, since he decided to head straight to Kuoh, which is guarded by Amaterasu and the Demon King. They practically own that area. But as you also know, Kuoh is where Sirzechs's little sister and Sona Sitri—politically tied to the Phoenix family through their alliance with the Sitri—are studying…" – he added, shocking everyone, for they knew that area was best left untouched.
Barakiel gasped. He knew… his daughter was there, under heavy demon protection.
Tamiel: "He went there to start a war, didn't he? We always knew Kokabiel was a war-crazed lunatic, but we didn't expect him to also be suicidal… provoking those monsters…" – he muttered, shaking his head. Naruto or Amaterasu—either was dangerous enough to avoid. According to spy reports, neither feared war, both ruled their factions with iron fists, and they killed without hesitation. Simply insane.
Azazel: "He tried and died in the attempt. For some reason, the Demon King was in Kuoh, and without a shred of mercy, he tore him apart easily… He obtained the Dagger of Fate and not only that—he brought Leviathan into the human world… Complete madness…" – he said, explaining further as everyone's faces turned pale.
Sahariel: "But… is that even possible?" – he asked doubtfully, unable to comprehend how the Demon King had achieved such insanity.
Azazel nodded.
Azazel: "From what I analyzed, Naruto sacrificed his own unborn child, a demon, and an artificial she-devil who had once been a nun… a believer, or perhaps still a believer. She was between life and death, and adding the Dagger of Fate… it fulfilled the requirements to bring any damned soul out of the Underworld… Honestly, demons never seemed as terrifying to me as they do now with Naruto replacing Lucifer. He's a complete madman, and if he's using dark arts forgotten since Satan…" – he explained, clenching his fists. Clearly, demons had become their greatest enemies.
The room fell into silence as everyone sank into thought.
Tamiel coughed, reaching for his glass and taking a sip, only to choke, drawing attention from the others.
Soon Shemhazai also felt an overwhelming urge to cough, unable to resist, and began hacking just like Tamiel.
When Azazel and the rest followed suit, they quickly realized something was wrong.
Azazel glanced at his glass as his vision blurred.
"V…e… cough… poison…"
Azazel croaked, his throat dry.
"In fact."
A chill ran through everyone as a perfectly clear voice rang out—unaffected.
Azazel turned his head instinctively toward Penemue, his eyes filled with disbelief.
Indeed, Penemue was the only one unaffected, while the others clawed at their throats or coughed violently.
Penemue sighed.
Penemue: "Don't look so surprised… We're Fallen, greedy, and sinful—always putting our own interests above the common good…" – she said calmly, to the shock of those who had known her for centuries, fought alongside her… family.
Azazel stared with incredulous eyes but also a look that asked… "Why?"
Penemue understood.
Penemue: "Why? It's simple… The demons are the largest faction, and in recent years they've conquered or allied with multiple races in the Underworld. Our allies are nothing but paper tigers, ready to turn on us. I warned you, Azazel—I told you to put a firm hand on the Fallen. We've been making more enemies than allies. They can't keep stealing and abusing other races, but you wouldn't listen. You thought demons were arrogant fools who'd never ally with lesser races… Surprise—they did. And we're alone now. The angels will never save us, so I gambled my life on those willing to let me live… I've been in contact with Naruto these past years, and…" – she trailed off, interrupted.
"I…"
A blonde figure clad in armor entered the room with calm disdain—it was none other than Artoria Phoenix Pendragon.
Artoria circled Penemue, who nodded to her.
She moved behind Sahariel and, without hesitation, twisted his head at an unnatural angle. His magic was in chaos, his body paralyzed—he couldn't fight back.
The others gasped in shock, fury, and pain, their faces twisted with countless emotions at such unexpected betrayal.
Artoria: "Your turn…" – she said, moving behind Armaros. She raised her armored thumbs and, without hesitation, drove them into his ears, rupturing his eardrums but sparing his brain. That wasn't her goal. No—she wanted to watch him suffer in agony.
Armaros's eyes rolled back as blood poured from his ears, Artoria's fingers still embedded.
Azazel toppled his chair and fell to the floor, the others following suit as they huddled together.
Artoria blinked.
Penemue raised an eyebrow before widening her eyes and leaping aside, just in time to see them vanish.
Penemue clicked her tongue.
Artoria: "Didn't you say they couldn't use magic?" – she asked curiously. After all, her sister had created that poison.
Penemue: "They couldn't—but they could still activate summoning seals. It seems Azazel had one. Regardless, they won't get far… they don't have the cure." – she said calmly. Artoria nodded before seizing Armaros's head with both hands and squeezing until a grotesque, wet sound echoed—like a watermelon bursting.
Artoria straightened and activated a magic circle at her ear.
Artoria: "Leaders eliminated, Lady Azula. Barrier destroyed. Targets secured…" – she reported calmly.
"Understood. Begin the operation."
Artoria looked at Penemue.
Artoria: "Take whoever you want—we're leaving in five minutes. Azula will personally lead the conquest." – she said calmly. Penemue nodded and quickly vanished through a magic circle.
Artoria sighed. At least half of the non-combatants would survive, but the Fallen forces—all would be exterminated.
She stepped outside to check whether her troops had gathered everything useful.
Outside Grigory.
Flying not far from the Fallen faction was none other than the Hakuryuukou, suppressing his magical presence as he gazed over the vast territory and countless presences nearby… thousands.
"Vali… This is insane."
"I know, Albion. The current Demon King is a monster I have no wish to cross."
Both the host and the soul of the Heavenly Dragon conversed—genuinely disturbed by what the demons and their leaders had become.
Vali grimaced.
Vali: "Could that be why that bastard hasn't shown himself in the Underworld?" – he wondered seriously.
Albion: "Perhaps. He always spoke highly of the Demon King and said that if they ever met, one of them would die at the other's hands… But something tells me Rizevim is actually afraid of him…" – he replied. Vali couldn't help but smirk as he disappeared through a magic circle. Knowing that bastard was a coward lifted his mood.
Gremory Territory – Gremory Castle – Hallways.
Walking through the corridors was Sirzechs, his face twisted in displeasure, his expression far from happy.
He sighed. He was home—he shouldn't bring outside problems here. But those damn Phoenix had monopolized the Underworld, and no one dared rise up—not even whisper rebellion, terrified of the Phoenix and their power.
Sirzechs shook his head. At this rate, they would never escape their shadow, never have a voice.
He stopped before a door bearing a nameplate: Lucy, his younger twin sister, the one his father scorned because of the strange horns on her head—unlike Rias, her twin.
Sirzechs sighed—another problem. Since childhood, Lucy had been cold and unreachable, letting only her mother and Rias near her. After their father's disdain, even he was drawn into protecting her. Worse still, their parents' relationship had grown cold, problem after problem.
Sirzechs: None of this would've happened if I were Maou Lucifer… – he thought bitterly, scowling. So close, and his "friend" had taken everything from him.
He resumed walking, too angry to try bonding with his little—or half—sister.
Fifth Heaven – Conference Room.
Here, Heaven's Seraphim watched in disbelief through a sphere the chaos unfolding in the human world after Michael explained what the Demon King had done.
Michael himself remained silent, deeply disturbed by the fact that Gabriel had also been captured—by none other than demons.
Metatron: "This is without a doubt… war. War against the entire supernatural world…" – he declared, pointing to the demons' madness. Freeing Leviathan was their gravest sin.
The Seraphim nodded. Undeniably, this was war. They would not forgive the kidnapping of their sister.
Michael sighed, watching events unfold, eyes fixed on the massive Leviathan heading toward Asia. He had to act—things had spiraled far out of hand. He could even admit he preferred Lucifer over this pack of extremist lunatics.
Michael: "Prepare and summon everyone… Heaven will move." – he said gravely, his brothers in agreement.
Sariel sighed in worry at it all.
Human World – Japan – Midnight – Hyōdō Residence.
Issei had already coaxed his frightened parents to bed, though they still worried about the tremors.
He clenched his fists, cursing his inability to use magic—otherwise he could contact his president and the others. He was worried about them and about himself. He didn't know what was happening, but he hated being alone… it scared him.
Draig felt a bad premonition as the two listened to the rumbling thunder.
Issei approached the window, pulling the curtain aside. He saw several people running through the rain and darkness. Without his devil's vision, he wouldn't have clearly seen them fleeing with their families.
His stomach sank as fear crept in, making him feel ill.
"Phoenix."
The discomfort grew. Had he done wrong? Had he gotten too involved in a world he barely knew?
Draig snorted at his host's thoughts, cursing himself for helping him attack one of the heirs of the Underworld's rulers—putting a target on his back unintentionally. He knew that had the Demon King been present at that wedding, Issei's fate would have been very different. At least now he had only been abandoned.
Draig cursed—he'd gotten them entangled with beings that gave him a genuinely bad feeling. That Demon King was truly dangerous.
The duo sank into their own thoughts and fears.
Kyoto – Yasaka's Temple.
"Finally, free!"
Naruto breathed in the pleasant air of rain and despair that surrounded him. Running a hand through his damp hair, he pushed it back, his eyes glowing red.
Naruto: "Time for some fun…" – he declared, rising slowly into the sky, only to be blasted away when a strange beam of light struck him.
"FLUSSSSSS…
"BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM…
"NARUTOOOOOOOOOOOO…"
