Night fell.
Following the mission's guidance, Du Mu arrived at a bar in the Bronx.
Investigation?
There was no need; the game's mission would directly point out the clues.
Following the conspicuous red line in his sight, Du Mu quickly pinpointed a brown-haired man dressed in flashy clothes with slicked-back hair.
At this moment, the brown-haired man was hitting on a girl whose arms and neck were covered in runes.
As he spoke, he inadvertently revealed a fake gold watch on his wrist, and the Rune Girl's eyes instantly lit up; she immediately put down her almost untouched beer and drunkenly leaned into him.
The brown-haired man smiled, casually wrapped an arm around the Rune Girl's waist, which was as thick as an Iron Monger's helmet, and turned to leave the bar.
"This guy really isn't picky..."
Du Mu watched in amazement and quietly followed him.
The brown-haired man, with his arm around the Rune Girl, expertly turned into a narrow, dark alley and stopped in front of an inconspicuous iron door.
He knocked on the door, and soon, a burly strongman opened it.
The brown-haired man whispered a few words, the burly strongman nodded, stepped aside to let them in, and the iron door closed immediately.
Seeing this, Du Mu imitated him and knocked on the iron door.
The burly strongman reappeared, and upon seeing Du Mu's completely unfamiliar face, he immediately frowned.
"What do you want?"
"I just saw my friend being taken inside by a strange man; I need to go in and find her!"
"This is a members-only establishment; you can't come in."
The burly strongman looked at Du Mu coldly and flatly refused.
Du Mu angrily said, "Damn it, that's my friend! Even though she drinks, gets tattoos, and hooks up, I know she's a good girl! What if that guy tricks her into sleeping with him?!"
The burly strongman's mouth twitched.
Are you sure anyone would be interested in that Rune Poppy's body?
"If you don't let me in, I'll call the police!" Du Mu threatened on the spot.
Hearing this, a fierce glint flashed in the strongman's eyes, revealing a subtle hint of crimson.
"Alright, then I'll make an exception and let you in."
The burly strongman pushed open the iron door, looking at Du Mu as if he were a dead man.
Du Mu walked in without hesitation.
Inside the door was a long, dim corridor, with only a few scattered lights providing illumination.
At the end of the corridor was another iron door.
This time, it was a bald doorman who reached out to block Du Mu's path and brandished the glowing stamp in his hand.
Fortunately, Du Mu wasn't allergic to glowing stamps like Zhang Wei, so he allowed the other party to stamp the back of his hand.
Pushing open this last iron door, a strong smell of alcohol mixed with the stench of marijuana instantly assailed him, and the powerful rhythm of electronic music violently assaulted his eardrums.
A massive dance floor occupied most of the space, with dazzling colored spotlights overhead flashing wildly to the beat, and countless figures twisting ecstatically below.
In the booth area at the edge of the dance floor, the lighting was even more ambiguous and hazy; men and women guzzled hard liquor, holding slender cigarettes between their fingers, exhaling smoke, and some even openly performed a series of mosaic-worthy scenes, which delivered a considerable shock to Du Mu's pure and innocent heart.
Du Mu noticed that the mission's red guidance line had disappeared, indicating that the clue was in this underground bar.
A red-haired big wave noticed the glowing stamp on Du Mu's hand, her eyes lit up, and she immediately swayed her hips over to him.
"Hey, handsome, can we get to know each other?"
Du Mu lowered his head, his gaze falling upon a dizzying abyss, and immediately felt a sense of awe!
"Of course, I love making friends."
The red-haired big wave suddenly twitched her nose and frowned in confusion: "You seem to have a bloody smell on you. What do you do for work?"
"Doctor."
Du Mu answered casually, his expression unchanged.
"Oh? That's great!"
The red-haired big wave's eyes brightened even more; her finger lightly traced Du Mu's chest, her demeanor full of seduction, her body subtly rubbing against him: "Recently, I've been feeling a bit unwell. Can you help me figure out what's wrong with me?"
Du Mu was not a Doctor, but he could tell at a glance the symptoms of the red-haired big wave.
This was definitely a typical case of being horny... oh no, a fever.
Du Mu feigned reserve, saying, "It's not very convenient to examine you here."
"It's fine, we can find a place and take our time, a thorough, all-around examination," the red-haired big wave whispered into Du Mu's ear.
It seems she really had a bad fever!
Du Mu was shy by nature and truly didn't know how to refuse an invitation, so he let the red-haired big wave pull him towards the bathroom in the corner.
Once inside the stall, the red-haired big wave immediately locked the door behind her.
"Doctor, where do you want to start the examination?"
The red-haired big wave licked her lips, her eyes filled with a predator's excitement.
"That depends on where you're feeling unwell."
Feeling the astonishing pressure from her arm, Du Mu glanced at the red dot on the mini-map, wondering whether to pretend to give up resistance.
"Well, of course, it's my stomach; right now, I'm... starving!"
The red-haired big wave's voice suddenly became hoarse and distorted, her eyes erupted with terrifying crimson light, and her lips curled back, revealing two hideous, sharp fangs!
Her originally beautiful face instantly became repulsive, and she lunged at Du Mu like a monster!
Seeing this, Du Mu immediately found it uninteresting.
"Thai Boxing Warning!"
Just as the fangs were about to touch his skin, Du Mu's waist suddenly exerted force, and an elbow strike landed heavily on the red-haired big wave's face!
Bang!
A dull thud was accompanied by the faint sound of bones cracking.
The red-haired big wave felt an unimaginable force explode from her cheekbone; several broken teeth mixed with bloody foam flew out of her mouth!
She didn't even have time to scream; her entire body flew off the ground like a broken sack, slamming heavily against the stall wall with a thud, making the wall hum.
The red-haired big wave slumped to the ground, dizzy and disoriented, half of her face visibly caved in, her crimson eyes filled with bewilderment.
Who am I?
Where am I?
What am I doing?
Du Mu withdrew his elbow, took a step forward, and sternly demanded from above: "Speak! What kind of monster are you?!"
That question should be mine to ask you!
The red-haired big wave looked at Du Mu with a terrified expression.
The strength he displayed completely exceeded her understanding; one strike had completely incapacitated her. Could a human really do that!?
"Not talking, huh?!"
Du Mu had no intention of being gentle; he grabbed the limp red-haired big wave, and his other hand rained down elbow strikes like a storm!
The red-haired big wave initially wanted to speak, but each time the words reached her lips, they were brutally driven back into her stomach by a fierce elbow strike.
With the continuous elbow strikes falling, the red-haired big wave felt like her head was about to be flattened.
Relying on her strong survival instinct and willpower, she endured a gap between elbow strikes and, using her last ounce of strength, cried out hysterically: "Stop hitting me! I'll talk! I'm a Vampire! I'm a Vampire!!"
