Haeun and Minho just stood there in his kitchen, the morning sun streaming through the windows, the ingredients for dakgalbi waiting patiently on the counter, neither of them able to look away from each other.
"It would be more awkward if we didn't practice," Minho said quietly. "On Saturday. With everyone watching."
He had a point. A very good, very logical point. But logic had nothing to do with the way Haeun's pulse was racing right now.
"Just once," she heard herself say. "To see what it's like. So we're not completely unprepared."
"Just once," Minho agreed.
Neither of them moved.
Haeun's hands were trembling slightly as she set her phone down on the counter. Minho did the same with his.
Then very slowly, they moved toward each other.
The space between them shrank. Three feet. Two feet. One.
