Rias stirred, eyes fluttering open—brilliant green irises gleaming like polished emeralds, impossibly clear and captivating. For a moment, Draconis found himself mesmerized, unable to look away.
She caught his gaze and smiled lazily, stretching with feline grace, utterly unconcerned about the way her flawless body was on full display.
"Morning already?" she murmured through a yawn.
Draconis blinked, trying to organize his scattered thoughts. The last thing he remembered before blacking out was Rias standing over him. He cleared his throat. "Did you… save me last night?"
Rias curled up, resting her chin on her knee, eyes sparkling with amusement—like she was admiring a rare gem. "Of course. You were quite a handful, you know."
Her lips curved into a teasing smile. "I'm Rias Gremory. A devil—and your master. Get used to it, Draconis."
"…Devil? Master?" Draconis's mind spun, struggling to process the bombshell. He hesitated, then blurted, "So… what actually happened? Who was that winged psycho, and why did she want me dead?"
Rias sighed, her voice soft but steady. "Long story short, she was a fallen angel. She was checking to see if you had a Sacred Gear. Once she confirmed it, her orders were to kill you."
Sacred Gear. Draconis's mind flashed to the sword and shield that had appeared out of nowhere—his last-minute lifeline, the power that had turned Yuma Amano to ashes.
"Why would something like that end up inside me?"
Rias shrugged, almost playful. "Who knows? History's full of legends who had Sacred Gears. Maybe it's just the gods messing around."
Draconis fell silent, suddenly aware of just how absurd his earlier assumptions had been. He'd thought he was being set up for a scam—never in a million years would he have guessed he'd stumbled into a supernatural deathmatch.
Tch. Who the hell could see that coming? The whole world had flipped upside down.
He shook his head. "Anyway, thanks for saving me. But… what does 'master' mean, exactly?"
As he spoke, his eyes couldn't help wandering back to Rias's body, and he felt a rush of heat. There was no way to ignore how perfect she looked—sitting there, completely at ease, not a hint of self-consciousness.
He coughed, forcing himself to look away. Sure, the atmosphere was intimate, but this was literally their first real conversation. The whole situation was unreal.
Rias caught the flicker of desire in his eyes and smiled, unabashed. She made no move to cover herself—in fact, she seemed to relish his attention. "It's exactly what it sounds like. You've been reborn as my devil servant. And, by the way, you're officially a devil now."
She slid off the bed, stepping closer, her figure even more striking when she stood. "Why so shy? Want to look? Go ahead—devils aren't big on modesty."
Draconis couldn't help but sigh inwardly. Clearly, human standards didn't apply here. Not that he minded; honestly, he liked her boldness.
As for being a devil now? He barely cared. After being murdered by a fallen angel, he'd lost whatever goodwill he had toward the heavenly crowd.
"So last night was just healing, right?" he asked, catching the implication in her words.
Rias laughed, her voice low and teasing. "Your human logic is adorable… But don't worry, I'm still a virgin~"
She leaned in, whispering in his ear, her wild, seductive energy undimmed. Then she turned away, casually dressing as if he weren't even there.
Draconis sat back, a little stunned, but kept quiet, watching her movements. Every gesture was a masterclass in temptation.
"Could you help with my buttons?" Rias called over her shoulder, gathering her fiery hair to one side and revealing the smooth expanse of her back.
Draconis arched an eyebrow, now fully relaxed. "Gladly."
He stepped forward, fastening the buttons, then grabbed his own clothes and dressed quickly.
Rias perched on the edge of the bed, slipping on a pair of white socks. "You're coming to school with me today. I'll introduce you to the rest of the club, and get your membership sorted."
"Sure." Draconis didn't hesitate. After everything he'd seen, he had zero reason to argue. Ordinary days were officially over.
With Rias's body now hidden beneath layers of fabric, Draconis moved to the window and pulled the curtains open. Sunlight spilled into the room. He flexed his hand, surprised by the surge of strength—like his body was supercharged, brimming with energy.
So this was the devil's body Rias had mentioned…
Life was wild. A few days ago, he'd died and ended up in another world. Then he'd been killed again, only to be resurrected as a devil. The last few days had thrown more curveballs than his entire previous life.

She'd seen right through him. Draconis paused for a couple of seconds before replying, voice flat: "In this world, standing out too much—or being too ordinary—never ends well."
"Oh? So you fake it to stay unnoticed, but not cut off from society?"
Rias nodded, amused. "Strange guy. Do you just not like people?"
Draconis shrugged. "It's not dislike. I just don't need them."
Rias laughed softly. "I like that. Hope you'll let us be people you care about."
