Chapter 18 - 18.

Ilyana continued, "'Creator,' that really suits your arrogant personality!" She patted the sleek motorcycle. "Come on, Artemis, let's go for a spin outside. I want to see what you're really made of!"

"Yes, miss," Artemis replied, her voice emanating from the bike itself. Ilyana and her new companion headed for the exit.

When they reached the door, Ilyana looked back at Amon and said teasingly, "Hey, do you want me to give you a ride?"

"Of course!" Amon gave Ilyana a big, knowing smile in return.

Looking at Amon's expression, Ilyana's playful demeanor suddenly froze for a moment, then returned to normal. She suddenly realized that with Amon's personality, if he was teased by others, it would definitely not be Amon who would be embarrassed in the end. Inevitably, she would be the one made to look foolish in front of him.

"Let's go then. Today, I'll let you see my true strength!" Not wanting to lose her momentum, Ilyana directly pulled Amon outside with her.

When they got outside, Artemis was already waiting in her motorcycle form. Ilyana got on first, then patted the seat behind her and said, "Come on, get on, you megalomaniac!"

In a police car patrolling the streets of New York, two officers were casually chatting. Suddenly, a flash of brilliant purple light streaked past them, and both of them were left stunned. The speedometer on their dashboard let out a sharp, beeping sound, but instead of displaying a speed, it simply started to report an error.

"What's wrong with this thing? Is it busted?" a police officer grumbled, patting the malfunctioning speedometer. He was completely baffled. The speedometers they were using could only measure a maximum speed of 322 kilometers per hour.

The other, more experienced police officer quickly figured out the situation and cursed, "Shit, was that someone flying a plane on the ground? I couldn't even see its shadow!"

The first police officer asked cautiously, "Boss, what should we do?"

The older officer glanced at him and said, "What else can we do? Do you want to chase them? The equipment's malfunctioning. We didn't see a thing."

"Right. We didn't see anything."

In Tony Stark's private laboratory in New York, Tony and Ratchet were making the final adjustments to his new suit of armor.

Ratchet advised Tony, "Tony, even though our design is theoretically perfect, I think we still need to test it first!"

"No, Ratchet," Tony refused with a grin. "The Stark family tradition is to learn to run before you even learn to walk." His armor was already fully equipped. He said to his AI butler, "Jarvis, load the system. We're starting now!"

The robotic voice replied, "Yes, sir."

Tony put on the helmet of the armor, and the various plates and components at the interface began to seamlessly lock into place. Soon, it became a single, cohesive whole. The thrusters at the feet and hands of the armor activated, ejecting a large amount of high-energy particles.

Bang!

A large hole was blasted out of the ceiling of the garage. The ambulance-bot cleaned up the fallen debris, stuck its head out of the hole, and watched as Tony soared into the sky.

"Awesome! This is much more exciting than racing!" Tony shouted with exhilaration.

Jarvis's mechanical voice rang in Tony's ears: "Sir, please pay attention to your heartbeat. Your heart rate has reached 120 beats per minute."

"Never mind that, Jarvis. What's our speed now?"

"Sir, the speed has now reached 753 kilometers per hour, and the current power output is at 30%."

Tony was very satisfied with the current data when suddenly, he caught a glimpse of a flash of purple light on the road far below him.

"Jarvis, what just passed by?"

"Sir, it appears to be a motorcycle." A photo was projected onto the screen inside Tony's helmet. It was a silver motorcycle with two people on it, and the speed displayed had already reached 800 kilometers per hour.

"Did they install an airplane engine on a motorcycle? How can it be so fast!" Tony was shocked by their speed, which was almost as fast as some civilian aircraft. He became intensely curious about them. "Jarvis, catch up with them!"

"Yes, sir." The steel armor suddenly dove down, chasing after the two riders, passing the same two police officers again on the way.

Beep beep!

"Boss, did something just pass by again?"

"Yeah, it seemed to be silver this time."

Ilyana felt incredible. The feeling of the world on both sides turning into a blur of light and shadow was something she had never experienced before. At this time, Artemis's voice sounded: "Miss, there is an unidentified flying object chasing us."

"Ah! Is there anything that can actually catch us?" Ilyana looked at the dashboard. The speed was already at 800 kilometers per hour. How could something possibly catch up to them? She looked back and saw a silver robot rapidly approaching. "What?"

Amon, sitting in the back seat, had already noticed Tony catching up and smiled nonchalantly. "He's just a playboy, Ilyana. Don't let him surpass you."

"Can a playboy be this sophisticated?" Ilyana wondered, then asked Artemis, "Artemis, can you go any faster? Don't let that guy behind us catch up!"

"Yes, Miss. I can also activate the acceleration mode."

"What are you waiting for? Do it now!" Ilyana said impatiently.

The body of the motorcycle began to deform. The exhaust pipes morphed into two powerful jet devices, and then brilliant purple energy flames spewed out from them. Artemis's speed suddenly increased to a whole new level, and the air around them made a sharp, tearing sound. Their speed had just exceeded the speed of sound. A faint purple energy shield appeared around the motorcycle, blocking the violent airflow. "You have this function too? Amon, you are very thoughtful!"

If it were an ordinary person, the energy shield would have been necessary at their previous speed, otherwise, they would have been heavily pressed against the motorcycle's body and unable to move. However, Amon and Ilyana both possessed extraordinary physical fitness, so it hadn't been necessary until now.

Tony's eyes widened as he witnessed the impossible: a motorcycle reaching the speed of sound, creating visible Mach cones in the air. "Jarvis, did you see that? Was that a Mach loop just now?"

"Yes, sir. We have calculated that the vehicle ahead is traveling at Mach 1.03."

"How did they do that, and how are their bodies withstanding it? Jarvis, turn the power up to 50%! We must catch up to them!"

"Sir, the armor is still in the testing phase. Excessive power may cause unforeseen accidents," Jarvis advised cautiously.

Tony said nonchalantly, "Don't worry, just do as I say. No one can surpass me, Tony Stark!"

The iron armor also accelerated suddenly and soon caught up with Artemis. As the distance closed, Tony could see the two people on the motorcycle clearly. They were a young man and a young woman. The woman was driving, and they were not even wearing helmets.

Tony wanted to shout to them and ask how they did it, breaking the sound barrier without even wearing protective clothing, but considering the current environment, the other party wouldn't be able to hear him unless he used communication equipment.

"Jarvis, analyze this. How are they doing it?"

Soon, Jarvis completed the scan and reported back to Tony. "Sir, there is an energy shield on the surface of their vehicle that is isolating them from the airflow and pressure outside. The vehicle is also equipped with an unknown jet propulsion device that allows it to reach speeds up to the speed of sound."

"Energy shield technology! They actually have this technology!" Tony was suddenly overcome with a desire to get to know the other party. The energy shield was a groundbreaking technology, and it seemed to be very mature in its application.
