After some few days, Alex learnt about lizzy, Sophia and Ethan's investigation. In order to lay low for a while, he fled from new Zealand to Sherman oaks in los Angeles located in California. Sophia come to discover about his flee away from the country. The trio packed their bags and head to Sherman Oaks. After a long flight, they arrive at Sherman Oaks, they didn't know the specific hotel he had lodge in but they make the decision to search the hotels around that area. Sophia drew a picture of Alex which she used for the search. After one tiring month, they discover that he had lodge in May land, a prestigious and highly secured hotel in the central of Sherman Oaks.
On the 3rd of April, the trio lodge at May land, they found out about Alex's number room. On a sunny afternoon, Alex feeling secured came out for a nice bath in the pool. On his way, he saw a peek of thr the trio, his heart jump into his mouth making him speechless. Sophia notice a gaze on her, she turnes her head and saw the bewildered Alex staring at her. The trio also begins to run as fast as they could, they meet up with Alex in the dark ally. Sophia grab the gun from her bag, pull the trigger and POWH!. The sound of the gun echoes in the ally. Alex has been shot on his shoulder, he wasn't scared since he knows his backup will soon arrive. The siren of the police was heard , the trio left the ally back to the hotel. They didn't accomplish their task but they know they did something to Alex. When the police arrived, they saw alex, luckily, he was still conscious. They rescue him and didn't bother to investigate the matter. After a few days of recovery, Alex promised to avenge on Sophia. He calls Sophia using a burner phone, he claims to have information about Eclytal and asks to meet her in a cafe. Sophia meets up with Alex. She didn't recognize Alex since he covers his face which make Sophia suspicious. Alex pretended to be dumb, he lace the Sophia's coffee with a sleeping pill . Sophia slept off after drinking the coffee, Alex carries her to an uncompleted building and tie her hands and legs to a wooden chair. He called lizzy using Sophia's phone, lizzy in despair meet up with Alex in the uncompleted building with knife.
