Aria took the next letter. This one was shorter but heavier. Each word seemed measured to convey meaning beyond its face. She read it aloud softly, and Luca listened carefully.
"It mentions people we thought we had forgotten," she said, voice low. "People who affected us more than we realized."
Elena was silent for a long moment. Then she asked, "Can people really change after that?"
Aria looked at her daughter. "Yes, sometimes. They can also carry lessons. And those lessons can help us do better."
Luca reached over and pulled Aria gently toward him. "We do not have to have all the answers yet," he said. "We just need to understand what matters."
The letters continued, one after another. Each opened a small window into a past that felt both distant and immediate. They spoke of choices made quietly, of kindness and mistakes, and of intentions that had gone unseen.
