VOOOOOM!
An invisible figure was soaring through the sky at an incredible speed. He was slowly making his way towards the veil of darkness.
Ken had already learnt what he needed to about the Otherworldly ogre. Even left it with a warning.
He planned to attempt the trial, conquer it, and then return back here. And kill this Ogre!
It seemed that Ken had decided to take on the dragon, as well.
'It seems weird to call it the dragon. It'll be better to call it the....uh...Corrupted Dragon!'
Soon, he cut through the veil of darkness. Flying past the dark clouds. He appeared above the veil of darkness. The sight of the Corrupted Dragon was not in view.
Sensing something, Ken turned back.
Infront of him... was a strange sight. Yes, the Corrupted Dragon was still there. It was still alive. However, there was another being—an Undead. An Undead hovered in the air, locked in a fierce battle against the Corrupted Dragon.
He launched several dark beams at the Corrupted Dragon. However, it was not affected much by the attacks, the beam was too small for it's colossal body. But, it could be seen. It could be seen that the damage was slowly accumulating on the Corrupted Dragon. Many areas on it's body were heavily corroded. They had probably been fighting for days, now.
The Corrupted Dragon unleashed it's aura, summoning several grotesque humanoid giants of tangible darkness. All of them possessed a pair of bat like wings.
They flew over towards the Undead. But, the Undead immediately summoned an orb of dark magic; one that it had been preparing for quite the time.
Thanks to [Great Sage], Ken could analyse the battle with many different angles. Not literally. He could see things way beneath the surface. That's why he could tell that the Undead had been preparing the orb of dark magic for quite a while.
'That thing is condensed with some sort of strange dark magic. Just who is this guy?'
<....>
'Wait. Why do you sound like you're disappointed?'
Ken ignored [Great Sage], and observed the battle, closely.
The Undead ignited the orb of dark magic. It contracted into a small light, and then the light expanded towards the giants.
BOOM!
All of the giants were destroyed. Before they could even reach the Undead.
The Corrupted Dragon roared,
RRAAARRRGHHH!
summoning several orbs of lightning: way bigger compared to the ones that the Sky Dragons could summon. Then, the orbs contracted till there were only several small star like objects in the sky.
They were launched into streaks of lightning—The Undead dodged some of them. But, one collided with it's bony-body, breaking it on impact. It seemed that all of it was reduced to dust.
'Is that... all? No. It couldn't have survived for so long, then.' Ken's prediction turned out to be true. The Undead returned back to life as all of it's dust turned body reverted back to bones, then joined in a humanoid frame.
The Undead soared higher in the air, then it suddenly burst with a terrifying amount of energy. Launching at the Corrupted Dragon's mouth—no. It went straight into it's maw. Intentionally.
'I guess I can tell why it did that. It will probably explode inside—Wait! Is it planning to blow up it's core?!'
Outrageous!
Did this Undead have no mercy for it's soul? Just what had this Corrupted Dragon taken from it for it to be this cruel, both to itself and the Corrupted Dragon.
'Imagine being so large, having your core or soul destroyed, and slowly blowing up from the inside...
...what if that dragon decided to use that beam attack that it used back then. It definitely consisted of different types of damages. It could possibly even have soul damage.'
'Well, it seems it's finally time to test it out.'
————— ———— ———— —————
After sometime the Undead had entered the Corrupted Dragon's body, a being clad in jet black exoskeltic-armor hovered above the Corrupted Dragon's colossal body. It seemed to be a beetle-type Insectar.
It soared higher in the sky, thrusting it's hand forward and pointing it's palm at the Corrupted Dragon's body.
'[Great Sage]. Are you sure it will work?' Ken questioned. Being this close to the Corrupted Dragon seemed strange to him. To be honest, he was kinda scared. He had faced threats far greater than this measly lizard. But, the image of the sphere of annihilation was still fresh in his mind.
Sigh.
'Here goes nothing.'
[Gluttony] was a sub-ultimate skill. It had been formed by the merger of many other skills. It ran by the major principle of gluttony, like the name of the skill. It had all principles of devouring. It could devour all as long as the threat Ken faced didn't posses an Ultimate Skill: which he knew the Corrupted Dragon did not posses. That was one limitation that would only exist till [Gluttony] did not evolve into an Ultimate one.
It had some other limitations too. However, they didn't mean much to Ken. If needed, he would have to feed [Gluttony] magicules and his will.
'Anyways. I'll stop overthinking.'
"[Gluttony]!" Ken called out as a massive purple aura veiled within swirling darkness rushed towards the Corrupted Dragon to swallow it whole. It expanded, and expanded. It expanded in all directions, slowly covering the Corrupted Dragon's whole body, it moved at incredible speed.
After a while, [Gluttony] finished surrounding the Corrupted Dragon, and immediately started to contract. It contracted till it became smaller than the size of even Ken's palm. Then, it disappeared with a purple flash.
The moment Ken heard [Great Sage], his eyes shone with a strange expression.
'What? What did you just say? [Great Sage]'
'So... that means Jin became an Undead?' Ken thought, hovering in sky with a deadspan expression.
'[Great Sage]. Show me Jin's memories.:
————— ———— ———— —————
Jin's POV:
The dragon formed by the merger of the Sky Dragons, warped the space around the beam of annihilation. Then, it disappeared.
I took a sigh of relief. But, then, Alex suddenly jumped down the magic beast and yelled as he did:
"Run! Run as far as you can!"
I immediately followed, but, stopped. There were others too.
Before I could tell the others to do the same as Alex, the beam of annihilation warped behind us as an orb.
Then, it exploded.
BOOOOOM!
Rose landed on the magic beast, trying to protect us. But, it was too late. Not like there was a lot of time. She used "[Sacrosanct]" and tried to provide us with the healing property of her skill.
But, the sphere of annihilation was far too strong. It tore apart all. In a matter of mere seconds, we were all almost dead. Our souls too, slowly corroded.
But I didn't want to die!
No! Not now!
Suddenly, a bright flash of golden light encompassed my world.
The light was so bright that I closed my eyes as to not get blinded.
Soon after, I could still feel that I was live. A miracle!
I opened my eyes. What I saw shocked me:
A being draped in a silver armor with white cloth cascading from beneath it. "He" was divine. Anyone could tell at just one glance.
"He" had long hair that reached his knees. His ember eyes radiated with divinity. He reached out to me, looking straight into my eyes, as if looking at something that hid inside of me: one far beneath the surface. His voice boomed with divinity.
"Are you watching? You fragmented. Imperfect. Incomplete one. Watch well, then."
He raised a hand of his and suddenly everything disappeared from sight. Only a void lay infront of me.
Then, the voice of the world reached out. Though, it sounded as if it was forced to do this:
————— ———— ———— —————
And so on, the Voice of the World continued.
Ken then saw how Jin restlessly continued to regenerate after being broken and turned into dust hundreds of times. It seemed that the soul had lost all ego, and all that was left was a will to kill. Kill the Corrupted Dragon.
After taking on all of the memories of Jin. Tears rolled down Ken's cheeks.
"Huh? Why is this happening?" His voice shaking.
Ken did not realise, but he had slowly started growing a little attached to all of this—This world, his family, and his little "missions."
Back then, In his world, he had gone on many adventures, experienced different things. But, at the end. He couldn't ever sit down and lay at rest. Ofcourse there were moments where he rested for a long, long time. But, none of them continued like that. Now, in this world, he still couldn't rest, but there was a different sense of feeling, now.
He felt... different. He had long forgotten this feeling—Even before arriving in this world. He couldn't find a word to express this feeling, neither did he want to, it was better to leave it alone.
Now, after having merged with the memories of Jin. He had become attached to this world, albeit still not much. It was enough for him to think twice about destroying this world.
He didn't want to do this now. What good would it do him? If he destroyed this world, would he gain enough power to take his revenge? Instead, what if he lived long enough? Grew stronger than anyone else? What if he decided to stay here? But... after his family's death... who was he gonna stay with? All alone? He had a mother, yes. But then, what? Would one person be enough to sate his hunger? The hunger that he had slowly grown as a result to isolating himself from both this, and his previous—World.
Ken had learned a lot from this. He wanted to rest for a while. There were a lot of things muddled up in his head. He needed rest. Rest...
'Rest. Rest well, now, Father.'

A/N: I couldn't execute this chapter how I wanted this to be. Sigh.
I got a little drained.
