Somewhere on the snow-less slopes of Mount Everest.
Lois Lane hugged her arms and shivered, her eyebrows began to tremble. She had been here for forty minutes, and the bastard Clark had not come back yet.
"You won't forget me!"
Louise muttered softly, stomping her feet back and forth on the ground, using exercise to increase the heat in her body.
Suddenly, a huge roar came from my ears.
The clouds above exploded, revealing a clear sky. A strong wind blew down from the sky, almost blowing her to the ground.
Two red beams of light chased each other in the sky. Wherever they passed, huge rocks collapsed and ice and snow melted. The terrible scene was like the end of the world.
"Clark!"
Lois was shocked. The red beam is a unique ability of Kryptonians, which means that Mysterio is most likely Clark's relative. They talked for so long, why did they start fighting?
Louise couldn't understand the reason, and seeing the red beam sweeping back and forth, she quickly found a crevice to hide in.
boom!
There was an explosion on the distant mountain, and two figures rushed out of the dust. They were Clark and the mysterious woman. The two were chasing each other in the sky, and every collision would produce a shock wave visible to the naked eye.
The ripples spread in all directions, madly destroying the surrounding landscape.
The mountain top was cut into an arch, and broken rocks were flying everywhere like shrapnel. A black crack appeared in the white snow-capped mountain in the distance, and the snow rolled down, soon turning into a white torrent that occupied half the sky.
The snow mountain collapsed!
The battle between the two did not stop, from the east to the west, and then plunged into the white torrent together.
boom!
A terrible sound of gas explosion was heard, and a vacuum area appeared in the middle of the white torrent. Clark and Linda Danvers attacked each other frantically, their fists intersecting, and the overflowing shock wave turned the avalanche into a snow waterfall.
The scene was really too horrifying.
White snowflakes flew everywhere in the shock wave, sometimes turning into tornadoes rising into the sky, and sometimes turning into the most terrifying storm, blowing people's faces so hard that they hurt.
Louise hid in the crevice of the rock and shivered. At this moment, she regretted it very much. If she had known this would happen, she should not have come here. Not only could she not help, but she might also become a burden to Clark.
This kind of battle was not something she could intervene in, she could only pray to God to bless Clark.
Time passed at an extremely slow pace. After an unknown amount of time, the roar stopped. Louise looked outside and made sure there was no danger before she slowly leaned out.
Looking up, I was stunned.
The huge mountain is covered with large and small pits. Some of the peaks are directly pierced through, and you can see the scenery on the opposite side. The white snow-capped mountains are gone, leaving only bare rock walls.
What's even more terrifying is that some places are actually burning. The rocks are burned into the same color as magma by the beam of light, and are flowing slowly at an altitude of thousands of meters.
Louise took a deep breath, suppressed the fear in her heart and said loudly,
"Clark! Clark where are you? Answer me now, answer me."
"I'm here."
Clark Kent, wearing a red cape, rose from below, with an unconcealable look of dejection on his face. "I'm sorry, I didn't expect things to turn out like this."
Seeing her boyfriend, Louise's nervousness finally eased.
"You...you're okay."
"I suffered a minor injury, but it's healed."
"That girl, you..."
Clark said bitterly, "Lois, let's not talk about this anymore, okay?"
Louise was startled for a moment, then she grabbed his hand and said softly,
"Okay, I won't ask anymore."
…
The sky above Mount Everest was still bright with sunshine, but the night in the metropolis was gradually darkening.
A villa in the West District, looking at Linda Danvers falling from the sky, Luke could only shrug his shoulders.
"I said, next time you come, can you go through the main entrance?
Why don't you call me in advance so I can be mentally prepared?"
The girl said nothing, walked straight to the table, picked up the bottle and drank it all.
Luke looked at her for a few seconds, and when he saw her almost torn clothes and bare feet, he was surprised.
"You had a fight? With whom? Your cousin."
After drinking a bottle of red wine, Linda's face began to turn red, but her eyes remained cold.
"Are there any clothes?"
Luke pointed upwards, "It's in the leftmost room on the second floor. Underwear and coats are all there."
Linda jumped up to the second floor, quickly changed her clothes and came out with a few unopened bottles of red wine in her hands.
He sat on the chair, not saying a word, just drinking.
It was obvious that she was in a bad mood. She probably encountered something unpleasant with Clark Kent. Luke took a few sandwiches from the refrigerator and put them on the table.
"Don't just drink, eat something."
"Thank you!"
Linda ate and drank, and soon, the three bottles of red wine were empty.
Luke kicked the bottle aside and asked curiously, "What's going on? Did your cousin make you angry? Do you want me to help beat him up?"
"Can you kill him?"
Luke: "…"
There's something wrong with this guy's brain. He's talking nonsense.
"I remember what happened that night. I know what you're capable of. You can kill me, and you can kill that sanctimonious bastard too. As long as you kill him, I'll promise you anything, from a secretary to sex."
Luke raised his hand and waved it in front of her eyes.
"Tell me, what is this?"
The girl pushed her palm away and said, "I'm not drunk. I'm serious."
"We'll talk about this later. You can stay here tonight. The food is in the refrigerator. Take it when you're hungry."
Luke yawned and went back to his bedroom to sleep. He had work to do tomorrow and didn't have time to accompany her in her drunken rage.
I slept for about three or four hours.
An inexplicable sound came, and Luke woke up suddenly, and then saw Linda Danvers standing by the window.
"What on earth are you doing? Breaking into someone's house is one thing, but why did you even go into the bedroom? I'm a man, a hot-blooded young man. I'm embarrassed by you sneaking in like this."
"I lost."
"What?"
Linda clenched her fists and gritted her teeth, saying, "Karl has changed. He has become a hypocritical and selfish person. I want to teach him a lesson, but I am no match for him."
"It's normal. Your cousin is muscular and quite old. You're only eighteen. It's normal that you can't beat him. Just because you can't beat him now doesn't mean you can't beat him in the future. There will always be a chance."
The girl turned around. "Will you help me?"
"It's not right for outsiders to meddle in your family affairs. Of course, if you don't mind, we can talk, provided you let me put on my clothes."
The girl said disdainfully, "In my eyes, it makes no difference whether you wear clothes or not."
Having said that, leave the bedroom.
Luke put on his pajamas, went to the living room on the first floor, poured a glass of cold water, and said as he drank,
"Can you tell me what happened?"
Linda responded and briefly explained the whole story.
"In other words, your goal in finding Kal-El is the spaceship called the Fortress of Solitude."
"Yes."
Luke shook his head and said speechlessly, "What you did is wrong. Not only him, but I wouldn't agree to it either."
"Why?"
"The reason is very simple. Your cousin Kal-El is not from Krypton, but from Earth. Earth is his home, and Krypton is just where he was born. Perhaps when he's about to die of old age, he'll think of going back to take a look, but not now."
"You are wrong to ask him to give up everything on Earth and return to Krypton with you."
Linda said with a grim expression, "I don't think he's wrong. He's a Kryptonian with the blood of the House of El in his veins. His parents and elders all died defending their planet. As the only remaining Kryptonian, he should shoulder the responsibility of rebuilding civilization, not be an intern reporter on Earth."
"What's more, he still has the Life Codex within him. The Codex is the cornerstone of Krypton's heritage, and it records the genetic information of all Kryptonians. My uncle gave him the Codex in the hope that he would rebuild Krypton and rebuild civilization."
"But what about him? What did he do? Did he ever think of restoring civilization?"
"I'm not wrong. He's the one who's wrong, the traitor."
