"I want to observe that man up close," Life suddenly said, flipping her hair, her tone casual but revealing her intent.
"How do you plan to do that?"
"Create a body."
"We can't do that."
"If we could, we wouldn't be stuck here frustrated."
"Who says we can't? Haven't you already done it?"
Life turned her gaze to the Planet Devourer.
She knew very well that the Planet Devourer was a collective of mechanical insect species. Though the mechanical insects he sent weren't very powerful individually, they were far stronger than gods like them, who couldn't do much.
"It's not that we can't send them out; it's that acting now will have severe backlash."
Sometimes unspoken things were still understood.
The Planet Devourer's last action had caused backlash, likely requiring a long time to fully recover.
The others were not surprised by this.
In fact, following Annihilation's method would be best: say nothing, do nothing, and let others act.
But Life's suggestion made sense.

While Chen Xi and the women were enjoying themselves, cries for help came from the sea instead of cheers for Tony Stark's water tricks.
They instinctively looked toward the sound.
Thunder roared above the sea. On the water, a woman lay motionless on a piece of floating wood.
"She might be a mutant with lightning powers. I'll go rescue her."
Wanda stood and rushed over.
Within a minute, she returned, dripping wet. "It's impossible. We can't get close. Others can't either."
Her eyes showed panic. "The girl on the water looks weaker and weaker. I don't know how long she can hold on."
Her gaze involuntarily fell on Chen Xi, with a hint of pleading.
If his women asked for help, Chen Xi wouldn't refuse.
He stood. "Alright, I'll go see."
As he approached, he sensed something unusual.
Four intense gazes fell on him. Approaching the sea, he noticed something strange—the lightning above the water weakened.
Chen Xi took two steps back, squinting.
He felt it might be a trap set by the gods.
Should he step into it or act like he hadn't noticed?
"My dear, what's wrong?"
Qin Gelei, closest to him, noticed his hesitation.
Why was he hesitating?
Could it be…
Qin Gelei considered the possibility that the woman floating on the water was abnormal.
She hoped it was just speculation.
Chen Xi hadn't said anything yet.
Even so, the thought made her extremely uneasy.
Seconds ticked by.
Chen Xi finally acted.
He said nothing.
When he reached the girl floating on the water, the lightning disappeared instantly.
Everything became calm.
If the people on the beach hadn't witnessed it themselves, they might have thought it a hallucination.
"This is incredible."
Someone exclaimed.
But seeing Chen Xi, and recognizing him, they felt it was natural.
After all, it was Chen Xi.
He could easily use time magic to resurrect everyone and restore a city. What couldn't he do?
Relieved, they relaxed.
Chen Xi carried the woman from the water to the shore.
Gwen stood beside him. "My dear, is she alright?"
"She won't die."
Chen Xi smiled slightly, but his words carried a cold edge.
