Chapter 123 - Wild rhino

After killing the Abomination, their combat video went viral across the United States of America.

The House of Heroes also modified Electro's information. Everyone followed Andy's suggestion, and Electro was finally changed to Tenno.

Now, on Andy's information at the House of Heroes, the three words 'Electro' were gone, replaced by Tenno.

Below his Tenno title, there were two blurry warframes.

People also labeled them: the one surrounded by electricity was called Volt, and the one holding a lightsaber was called Excalibur.

This was something Andy himself stated in the news; he introduced the names of the two warframes to reporters.

Based on the appearance and characteristics of the two warframes, the public felt that these names perfectly matched the respective images of the two warframes.

However, none of this had much to do with Andy. Currently, Andy was testing the warframe he had just created.

Wild rhino

This warframe, named after a rhino, was truly as robust as a rhino.

While constructing this warframe, Andy clearly noticed that the rhino consumed more materials.

The materials consumed to build this warframe were nearly 1.5 times the amount used to build Magnetism.

This also gave the rhino extremely strong survivability, although its heavy frame reduced its movement speed.

However, these were not issues, as the rhino was primarily focused on strength and not adept at overly agile combat.

After integrating the Amplification Crystal, the rhino's survivability saw a significant increase.

Standing in the training ground, Andy prepared to test the rhino's abilities.

First ability: rhino Charge.

Andy's body charged violently towards a steel pillar driven into the ground.

Clang.

The rhino's fierce impact damaged the steel pillar, bending it into a huge arc.

Yet, the rhino suffered no damage at all; not even its shield showed a single ripple.

"The charge you just initiated made you look like an enraged rhino. He truly lives up to the name rhino."

The training ground projected a virtual image of the recent event: Andy, clad in the rhino, initiating his charge.

That reckless posture, and his complete lack of injury after the impact, all demonstrated the formidable power of a heavy warframe to Andy.

Hearing Audis's praise, Andy nodded in satisfaction.

The rhino didn't have any devastatingly powerful abilities, but each of its abilities provided maximum survivability.

Standing a bit further away, Andy again activated an ability towards the steel pillar.

Because there was some distance from the steel pillar, Andy initiated more than one charge.

After each charge, the rhino would accumulate some strength; by performing continuous charges,

not only would the force of the impact increase, but it would also allow him to charge further.

Under Andy's continuous charges, a wave of impact energy surrounded the rhino.

When the rhino collided with the steel pillar, the already bent steel pillar was directly snapped, and one end of the pillar slammed into the ground, shattering the concrete surface.

"Woo~ Cool! The damage caused by this impact is considerable."

Looking at the shattered ground, Andy exclaimed in admiration.

Audis was equally surprised, "Oh~ The power of this impact is quite significant. From the data, it appears to be four times that of the previous impact."

Such destructive power was unexpected by Audis.

However, Audis's tone shifted as he said, "The destructive power of the charge is very strong, but..."

"But what?"

Andy was a bit curious. The destruction caused by the rhino's charge was very impressive. Had Audis discovered some problem?

After a moment of hesitation, Audis opened the recorded video of the recent experiment.

He then displayed the destructive power of the rhino's charge in data form before Andy.

"It's just that the destructive radius of the charge is a bit narrow; the effective kill radius is only two meters."

So that was it. The kill range of the charge was indeed not very large; only enemies standing directly in front would be hit.

But in Andy's understanding, this ability was originally meant for quick movement and support.

If the kill range were too large, it would seem to put the cart before the horse.

"If it's just the kill range, then it's not a problem. After all, the function of the charge isn't necessarily to cause large-area damage."

With Andy putting it that way, Audis felt there was no issue.

Since Audis didn't object, Andy proceeded to test the next ability.

As Andy's body vibrated, the second ability, Iron Skin, was activated.

A special energy enveloped the rhino's body, and three seconds later, the originally earthy yellow rhino turned gray.

A layer of gray Iron Skin appeared on its body, and this hardened skin had no impact whatsoever on the rhino's movement.

Watching Andy move his body freely, Audis didn't see any powerful ability manifest.

"Emmm, did you activate an ability? Audis didn't see anything being destroyed."

"Hahaha, what are you thinking? The rhino's second ability is this gray Iron Skin."

Andy laughed heartily. He had forgotten to tell Audis about the rhino's ability descriptions.

"The Iron Skin released by this ability can block any form of damage. As long as even a little of this Iron Skin remains, the warframe will not take any damage."

Pointing to the gray Iron Skin on his body, Andy continued, "Within three seconds of this ability's activation, it will absorb all damage.

Then it will convert this damage into the Iron Skin on its body. I think you should know how powerful this ability is."

Based on Andy's description, Audis gained a full understanding of Iron Skin.

The effect of this Iron Skin was truly too powerful. If the rhino took a large amount of damage within those three seconds of the ability's activation,

then the rhino would gain a layer of extremely difficult-to-break Iron Skin, and its survivability would skyrocket.

Picking up a pistol from a nearby shelf, Andy fired continuously at his own arm.

The bullets struck his arm and ricocheted, sending up countless sparks.

However, the bullets caused no damage to his arm, not even leaving a white mark on his body.

Click, click, click.

All the bullets in the pistol were expended; one magazine of bullets caused not a single bit of damage to the rhino.

Dropping the pistol onto the shelf, Andy sighed and said, "It seems I can't test the endurance of this ability.

However, if a pistol can't cause any damage to this Iron Skin, then the effect of this Iron Skin is still quite good."

The bullets from that one gun hitting his arm only chipped off a dozen points from his Iron Skin value.

For his over three thousand points of Iron Skin, it was like being bitten by a mosquito—neither painful nor itchy.

Picking up another pistol from the shelf, Andy said, "Help me record the intensity of the two shots, Audis."

No sooner had he spoken than a gunshot suddenly rang out.

A bullet spun out of the muzzle, kicking up a cloud of dust on the wall.

Then the rhino let out a dull roar, and Andy shot at the wall again.

This time, the bullet didn't just kick up dust, but directly knocked a large chunk off the wall.

"Although I don't need to say that the power of that shot was strong, the damage caused to the wall by the second shot was 1.65 times that of the first, an overall damage increase of 65%."

After Andy finished shooting, Audis spoke again.

Audis fully understood the function of this third ability.

Just like the survivability provided by Iron Skin, this third ability, after a low roar, amplified its own damage.

Although the limit of the third ability's amplification was unknown, even the current 1.65 times was a huge boost to weapons.

After all, Andy's weapons had all been integrated with Amplification Crystals.
