He turned his head, searching.
Before his gaze could reach Rowan—
Rowan lifted his hand.
"Presence—Absolute Concealment."
In an instant, his presence vanished.
His mana, his aura—everything was suppressed to nothing. It was as if he had never been there.
Moonbeam frowned.
"What…?" He scanned the room. "Where did that kid go? I sensed him just now."
A grin spread across his face.
"Hah! Looks like he ran away. After seeing this power, anyone would be afraid."
Elian lowered her head, then slowly raised it again.
Master already did enough.
He came here. He saved me.
And he's still just a child.
Her hands were shaking.
So why am I still trembling?
Her eyes hardened.
"No," Elian said quietly. "I won't shake anymore."
She raised her hand.
The ground beneath Moonbeam exploded.
A massive ice spike surged upward, razor-sharp, aiming straight for his body.
Moonbeam's eyes widened.
He leapt backward, barely avoiding it as the spike shattered stone and ice alike.
