Dishes landed quickly on the plastic covered table of the Chinese restaurant - Wong's Kitchen.
A young man and a woman sat facing each other, both of them shy and one of them sincere, and the other one-
"You can start, Lauren," Joey invited Kirsten to dig in first.
"They look delicious," the pretender remarked, no lies there.
"I hope the food is OK for you," the young man rubbed the back of his hand. He was confident that the food was good here, but still felt guilty bringing her somewhere this cheap.
Kirsten picked up a piece of tofu from Mapo Tofu dish, took a bite, and broke into a smile.
"And they do taste delicious."
"I'm glad," Joey was relieved and now could enjoy his meal too.
