Chapter 25 - CHAPTER 25: SONIA CIRCLE OF FRIENDS

Meanwhile, on Sonia's side, after entering the club, she steadily made her way to the private room where her friends were. As she made her way there, she couldn't help but plaster a helpless smile, thinking about what they might be talking about.

Whenever the whole gang meets, there is chaos but the kind that everyone likes.

Thinking about the people who were waiting for her there, a helpless smile appeared on her face.

If anyone would have told her that one day, she would be able to sit down with the men she once loved with everything she had alongside their current partners in peace. She wouldn't believe it.

Whenever she thought about the effort she put in when she was with them and how they were easily stolen by other women? At first, she was very angry and blamed them so much. She just wanted to erase them from the world, but then the seer happened.

After learning about her love debts, she didn't know what to do. She didn't believe that such things were real, but after her third marriage fell apart, she finally accepted the harsh reality.

After accepting that, what was the point of hating them when she was the one in the wrong?

Besides, forcing love wasn't something that anyone sane could do. The relationship wouldn't be interesting to remain in.

It was better to be single than torture herself. That's why this time she didn't put her heart but simply decided to use her head.

There would be no way that she would fall for a husband who was on the verge of dying, right?

Although she didn't want him to die and would do her best to find means to stop him from dying, sometimes fate couldn't be defied.

She could only hope that she found the right person to repay that love debt too. Otherwise, she might be truly doomed.

While filled with such thoughts, she soon found herself at the door of the private room.

She stood there momentarily as she took several deep breaths. After calming down, she reached for the door handle and pushed the door open.

It was time to face the masses and get bombarded by crazy questions.

As soon as she opened the door, she was greeted by Queen's cheerful voice. "Sonia, you are here!"

'It's going to be a wild night!' she surmised as she flashed a smile at the familiar people who had been waiting for her.

Pa. pa. pa.

Boom.

As she stepped into the room, Sonia was greeted with loud applause and a large confetto which automatically spread on the floor, the colorful ribbons very interesting to look at.

"Welcome, our new bride!"

"Let's celebrate!"

The friends teasingly congratulated, clapping their hands with smiles on their faces.

Sonia smiled helplessly as she stopped in front of the group. If they weren't her friends, she might have been offended by her words. After all, being a new bride when this was her fourth marriage would have sounded very insulting. But since they were her friends and they had known each other for years; she could tell that they were sincere.

After all, these people in this room wished her well, better than any other people out there.

"Thank you for your happy congratulations," she smilingly accepted the blessings of her friends which made them even happier.

"Come. Come. Sit down and let's have a few drinks. You should not have eaten yet, right?" Queen urged as she pushed Sonia to the empty single couch that had been waiting for her.

Sonia let Queen do that, and once she was seated, she responded as Queen settled back into her couch.

"I ate little, but I am starving now. We can eat."

"Sure, let me call the servers," Queen readily responded and made the call right away.

Once the call had been made, Sonia took a closer look at the friends who had kept her sanity all these years.

Inside this room were two of her ex-husbands with their wives. It was quite funny, right?

"Sister-in-law, congratulations once again," Jim's wife, Suzanna, congratulated as she passed a small gift box over.

Sonia smiled as she accepted the gift and responded, "Thanks, Suzanna. How are the kids doing?"

Suzanna beamed when she heard that and truthfully responded, "The kids are doing well. They kinda miss you. When you have time, please take a look at them!"

Sonia chuckled when she heard that. She couldn't help but look at Jim, her second ex-husband and shifted her focus back to Suzanna. "I will find some time in the future. It's kinda busy lately."

Jim laughed heartily when he heard that, his eyes narrowing. "Our Madam CEO is always the busy one, but please make some time for us."

Everyone in the room laughed heartily. After all, despite what these men always say. It wasn't like there were any romantic feelings remaining between Sonia and the men. The moment they divorced, they moved on. Since they weren't meant to be, then no need to force it.

"I will surely do so."

"Hehe, don't bother with that. With a new husband, she needs to start her honeymoon!"

"Talking about husbands. Sonia, who did you marry?"

"Yes, yes. Come on!"

Sonia looked at her female friends who were so eager to learn more about her husband and couldn't help but chuckle helplessly.

"You guys! You truly don't have anything to do?"

"Even if we have. This matter is more important. Imagine the shock when we saw the news!" Chantel, Tom's wife, exclaimed.

Tom was Sonia's first ex-husband and the guy who was with her before her family restaurant went bankrupt for the first time.

In fact, Tom stood by her for a while, but then they broke up, only to get back together again after the restaurant officially went bankrupt. He was with her when she was starting her first business.

After the marriage, their marriage lasted a bit longer. At most a year before he met Chantel, who at that time was divorced with two kids of her own.

To think that she lost her lover of many years to a divorced and older woman, it shattered her big time. But now, looking at her, Sonia no longer felt that hurt. After all, self-love was the best cure of all.

It was better to let go than hold onto someone who didn't love her, only to make herself suffer. She wasn't a masochist.

"Come on. Share with us!" Talent chirped in.

That was another friend of hers who was a beautiful doctor and quite famous in the surgical field.

Seeing everyone clamoring to hear the story. Sonia of course planned to share her story, though she didn't plan to reveal everything as it is.

However, before she started sharing that, the food was brought in and only after the servers left did, she starts talking while enjoying her food. She was truly starving.

"He is young. Around twenty-six years of age," she revealed that information first and all eyes were on her.

She could see the shock in those people's eyes, but not the bad kind.

"Mama Mia! Sonia dear, you are going for the fresh meat?" Kathy exclaimed in wonder, her eyes twinkling as she looked at Sonia.

Sonia's lips twitched when she heard that but still responded, "Yep. He is quite tall, handsome and above all, obedient," a smile appeared on her face as she recalled how shy and meek Liam looked.
