Their parents were Deltas, a hardworking and respected class in Zion's strict hierarchy. But when their twins were born, they were given the names Orin and Ren—names from a book of old-world mythology. Their parents hoped these names would reflect the powerful, almost mythic, nature of their sons' anomaly.
