In the interrogation chamber of Impel Down's Level 4, scorching air laced with the metallic tang of blood seared its way into the lungs.
Bahr was bound tightly to the torture rack with Sea Prism Stone Chains, the metal biting deep into his flesh where angry purple bruises had formed. Sweat mingled with blood dripped from his ankles, forming winding rivulets on the stone floor.
"Mmm~"
A coquettish yet morbidly excited hum came from ahead. Bahr jerked his head up to see a figure in shocking pink approaching, the spiked heels of her boots clicking sharply against the stone.
Sadi stood before him, her curly golden hair like a fluffy cloud. Her bangs hung low, nearly obscuring her eyes, revealing only the delicate upturn of her nose and the ever-present smile at her lips—a chilling blend of innocence and cruelty.
She wore white candle-shaped earrings that swayed with her movements. The skintight pink leather clung to her curves, the skirt barely covering her thighs. Her spiked stiletto heels glittered with silver barbs, each step flaunting their latent danger.
A demonic ensemble, S-style, shockingly perverse.
"Interrogation time again, Blasphemer Bahr..." Sadi drawled, twirling the handle of her whip twice. The metal spikes glinted coldly under the lights as her gaze pierced through her bangs, studying him like a rare treasure, her voice brimming with excitement.
Before Bahr could speak, the whip cracked through the air, striking his chest with a sharp "CRACK!"
The lash split his skin instantly, drawing a grunt from Bahr as veins bulged on his forehead. Yet his glare remained locked onto the woman before him.
"Mmm~" Sadi let out a pleased sigh, her eyes gleaming unnaturally bright. "So tough. Much more fun than the crybabies who break at the first strike."
Like a child with a new toy, she rained down blows, the sounds of the whip cracking, fabric tearing, and flesh splitting intertwining in the confined space.
With each strike, she tilted her head to listen, quickening her pace at even the faintest gasp from Bahr. "Is this what it feels like to defy a Celestial Dragon? Mmm~ So thrilling. Harder... make it hurt more..."
Bahr's shirt had long been reduced to tatters, his back and chest crisscrossed with bloody welts, some deep enough to reveal torn flesh beneath.
He suddenly lifted his head, his blood-caked eyes burning into Sadi. His voice was hoarse but laced with venom. "Little bitch... just wait till I get my hands on you—"
"Oh?" Sadi paused, using the tip of her whip to tilt his chin up. Leaning in, her bangs parted slightly to reveal eyes alight with madness. She licked her lips, her voice syrupy yet cruel. "Such a sharp tongue. But don't worry, we'll train that out of you slowly."
Bahr glared at her, then suddenly spat—a bloody glob landing squarely on her face.
Still talking tough? She wasn't even questioning him—just whipping him for the sake of it.
"Hmm..." Sadi blinked, then slowly raised a hand, swiping her fingers across the bloody spittle before bringing them to her lips. She licked them deliberately, her pupils dilating with feverish intensity. "Mmm, delicious! I like you more and more~"
Bahr gasped heavily, glaring at the nearly deranged figure before him and cursing, "What a damn freak."
"Freak?" Sadi chuckled lightly. "Once I've trained you to wag your tail like a dog, you'll think... this is a blessing."
"Go to hell—"
The furious insult only excited Sadi further. She swung her whip faster, each lash deliberate and forceful. The final strike landed hard on Bahr's abdomen, forcing a pained grunt from him as his vision blurred.
"Today's session is over~" She straightened up, flicking the blood droplets from her whip, her spiked heels grinding into the bloodstains on the floor. "We'll continue tomorrow~ One day, I'll have you obedient as a dog."
Bahr glared at Sadi's retreating figure, a low growl rumbling in his throat. "Just wait... the day I get out, I'll tear that bitch face of yours apart first."
The clicking of her heels faded into the distance. Two jailers immediately stepped forward, unlocking the chains binding Bahr. Already weakened from the beating, he collapsed the moment he was freed.
The jailers roughly hauled him up by his arms, dragging him toward Level 6.
The cells in Level 6 were far more sinister than those in Level 4. Damp stone walls dripped with condensation, and the air reeked of rust and despair.
The jailers flung Bahr into the cell without care, the clatter of chains echoing through the hollow chamber.
Bahr crashed onto the cold floor, his wounds screaming in protest. Gritting his teeth, he rolled onto his side, sweat beading on his forehead. His gaze flickered toward the composed man in the corner, and he rasped, "Jimbei, you're a fish-man... can you get me some water? I'm dying of thirst."
Jimbei's expression darkened. "I'm a fish-man, not a water jug."
Ace, leaning against the stone wall, glanced at Bahr. "Getting dragged out and beaten every day, yet you still refuse to break. You're tougher than you look."
"Better than lying down waiting to die." Bahr smirked, wincing as the movement tugged at his wounds. His eyes drifted toward the dim ceiling, as if staring through the stone at the distant sky.
That day, when Aokiji and Kizaru had cornered him, he had fought desperately—but Aokiji's ice had sealed his Space jumps, and Kizaru's light-speed kicks were impossibly fast. The two Admirals had trapped him like an inescapable net.
Since being thrown into Impel Down, his days had become a cycle—dragged to Level 4, Sadi's barbed whip lashing down, the woman licking her lips as she hissed, "This is what a Blasphemer deserves," her fanatical gaze more sickening than the pain itself.
Jimbei noticed Bahr's cracked, peeling lips. Silently, he turned, pressing his webbed palm against the damp stone wall. The thin membranes between his fingers flexed slightly, and soon, a small pool of cold water gathered in his cupped hand. The droplets glimmered faintly in the dim light.
"Water from the wall," he said flatly, his wrist chains straining as he stiffly extended his arm. "Don't drink it if you're picky."
Bahr looked up at the murky water mixed with stone dust in Jimbei's palm. His throat moved involuntarily. "Not picky," he rasped.
At this point, cleanliness was the least of his concerns—all he wanted was to endure and survive this hellhole.
He knew full well that Ace's public execution was imminent. That brat Straw Hat Luffy would storm in to rescue him, and when chaos erupted, that would be his chance to escape.
Even if Luffy's plan went awry, Blackbeard was orchestrating this whole mess to recruit new crewmates from Impel Down. Either way, he'd find an opportunity to break free.
Jimbei leaned forward slightly within the limits of his chains, bringing his palm to Bahr's lips. Cool water trickled down his throat, carrying a faint earthy taste, yet it instantly soothed his burning throat.
Bahr drank greedily until the last drop was gone from Jimbei's palm, then gasped for breath. The cold sweat on his forehead seemed to lessen slightly.
"Thanks," he muttered, his gaze lingering on Jimbei's webbed hand. He silently marveled at the honest man's kindness.
Jimbei said nothing, quietly withdrawing his hand. The cell fell back into silence, broken only by the soft drip of water from the stone walls.
Bahr stared at the dim ceiling, fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turned white.
The day he escaped... Sadi, the Marines, the World Government, the Celestial Dragons... he'd settle every score. None of them would get away with it.
A man who doesn't avenge his grievances is no man at all.
