Of course it was the Brown Poison group. They all looked at him, but it was not as if they were armed. None of them were even wearing armour.
But from behind came the three thieves Mike had let go. They hit him with a branch, hoping he would pass out or something like that. That made Mike a little angry.
"Well, I let you go and you come back again and do this. That is enough now."
Mike equipped his dagger, determined to put an end to the Brown Poison group.
"You are nothing but trash anyway."
Something changed inside Mike, something he had never felt before. He was not even in real danger, yet
(Bloodlust level 1)
activated. It was only supposed to activate when Mike faced something greater and more powerful, but that was not the case here, just a few unarmed people.
Mike saw red. He did not even notice what he was doing and had already slit the three thieves open. They were lying there.
"W-when did I…?"
But Mike looked down at his hands. They were blood red.
"W… why?"
A few seconds later, Mike found himself inside the house. It looked as if someone had destroyed everything in it, but the worst part was the nine dead thieves lying on the floor.
"Did I kill them all?"
Mike saw that his hands were now completely covered in blood. That was all the answer he needed.
"I must be going crazy. Why would I do this? I could not even control it, so…"
(Admin ability unlocked: Go Away From Me)
"W… what? Go Away From Me?"
Mike had unlocked a new ability and now had two attacks in total, but he did not care about that. He sat down on the blood soaked floor. Around him, the dead thieves began to despawn. As always, they turned into blue pixels. Soon he could not see anything around him, the blue pixels filled his entire view. After about a minute, only the blood on the floor remained.
Mike sighed and walked out of the house. He saw that the three thieves outside had also disappeared. He sighed again and followed the path he had memorized. On this way back, Mike's hobby was not exactly a pleasant one. His hobby was thinking, but now he only wanted to forget.
"What did I do?""I am a mass murderer?"
Mike's eyes twitched, and with every minute on the way back darker thoughts poured into his mind. But one scared him the most.
Was it worth it, for a new attack?
Mike shook his head.
"No, of course not."
That was not how Mike thought, but something was different.
But what had happened could no longer be changed, and besides, Mike had not been able to control himself. Did that mean it had not really been his fault? Mike shook his head even harder.
"Go away, questions," Mike said quietly, and stopped shaking his head.
Soon he would be back at the cave and maybe he could get another hour of sleep. Not to regenerate HP, but to forget a little.
On the last few meters of the way back, Mike paid close attention to his thoughts. There was no point in having even darker thoughts now. But it showed Mike that he was not insane. He felt regret, pity. Someone who was truly crazy would definitely not feel that.
Mike exhaled, saw the cave, and went inside. It was a little cold, but still slightly warmer than outside. Mike lay down again, a few centimeters away from Ice.
"Should I sleep for another hour now?"
Mike decided against it and stayed awake, fully awake.
He took his dagger and raised it to eye level. He examined it closely, studying every detail, but there was nothing exciting about it. Mike came to the conclusion that it was just a dagger.
He decided not to open his admin menu for now. He had other things to do. Someone really needed to start planning their path.
But as Mike was thinking, he suddenly felt a bite in his shoulder.
"Huh, pain?"
He lost consciousness.
When he woke up, he found himself in a stone room. It was very small, and grass had already started to grow on the floor. He looked around more carefully. In front of him there were bars, and what immediately stood out was the huge shadow tiger in front of Mike.
But it did not seem to do anything, almost as if it was just guarding.
"Captured? By whom?"
The tiger did not move and kept staring to the other side, standing there with its body spread wide. Its horns were scraping against the ceiling. That had to be uncomfortable.
How was he supposed to get out of this room?
Mike shook his head again. Sometimes thinking did not feel very nice. A shame that it was his hobby.
"What?" Mike asked the tiger.
No answer.
Suddenly Mike heard a whisper next to him.
"Hello?"
He recognized the voice at once. It was Ryolos, the warrior.
Mike only saw a stone wall when he looked to the side, but when he leaned against it, it seemed thin.
"Ryolos?"
"Yes, Mike. It seems we have been captured."
Mike nodded, even though Ryolos could not see it.
"Is Ice next to you, or Trix?"
"No idea, I will ask."
Ryolos turned away and went to the other side of his cell.
"Trix?"
"Ice?"
No answer.
Ryolos leaned back against the other side.
"No, no one is here. Do you have any plans?"
Mike thought, and something actually came to mind.
"Yes, this wall here seems thin. Maybe we could… no, for now it is pointless anyway, and that bastard here would eat us or raise an alarm."
Mike looked at the shadow tiger, but after a short silence he started speaking again.
"Well, we could try kicking the bars and face him together, the two of us."
Risky, but better than nothing.
Ryolos stayed quiet for a moment, as if he was searching for the right words, then he began to speak.
"Good, good. It is still unlikely that we can kill him without weapons. Maybe we can use one of the bars, a sharp piece of metal."
That was a good idea.
"Yes, we can bend one out, but after that this dog here will attack us right away or try to run and get who knows what. Come on, let us do it."
So Mike and Ryolos went to the bars, each put a hand on them, and Ryolos shouted:
"Alright, now."
