The whole Inter-racial tournament was continuing without any signs of pausing, but something that was unseen was beginning to shift.
Above the ground, the whole arena was roaring with mana and also filled with ambition.
But just below it, the ancient chamber was whispering.
Professor Seraphim was standing just near the observation dais, her eyes were narrowing as she was reviewing the mana readings, they were streaming across a floating digital panel.
"Hm? Okay that's odd."
And besides her was Headmaster Dave Vorn (SSS-Rank) his was shrouded in mystery and his affinities were unknown.
His silver beard was twitching as he felt the surge too, it was a pressure that really didn't belong to the tournament or any or the participants.
"There aren't any issues with the barrier... it's stable," he said slowly. "But this ambient mana density... it's slowly rising."
Seraphim turned to him, her face was grim. "And this isn't coming from the students."
