Chapter 50 - Decision

Liu Yuan didn't know if her condition had worsened.

She looked at Furina, and after confirming that Furina was okay, she finally had time to see her clearly at this moment.

Furina hadn't changed her clothes. The outfit she took from Liu Yuan's hand just now wasn't put on — instead, it rested on her lap, nearly slipping to the ground because of her sleeping position.

She was still wearing the pure white, light pajamas and shorts from yesterday. Although her figure wasn't particularly curvy, the pajama set still made her appear cute and full of youthful charm.

However, Furina only dressed like this in front of Liu Yuan.

The girl was quietly lying on the dressing table at this moment, her whole body leaning against it, her hands resting on the surface, her head nestled on her arms. A soft blush lingered on her cheeks — perhaps from warmth, or perhaps from whatever she was dreaming about.

The clothes had slipped from her thighs, revealing fair, slender legs that easily drew Liu Yuan's gaze.

The girl's legs were beautiful — straight and smooth, their delicate skin as pale as pearls, faintly glowing under the light.

Her ankles looked fragile and fine, and her bare feet rested gently on the carpet, like a sculpted work of art.

Not to mention that Furina was wearing shorts at the moment, her soft beauty revealed without restraint.

Furina was beautiful — Liu Yuan thought so. No matter what angle she looked from, she could only reach that conclusion.

Furina's youthful vibrancy radiated freely from her.

Liu Yuan withdrew her gaze, forcing down the strange thoughts rising in her chest.

The girl was sleeping deeply — just like the last time she suddenly fell into a half-month slumber, though it was different this time. Now, Furina was sleeping peacefully, as if embraced by a sweet dream.

Liu Yuan stood quietly to the side, silent for a long while.

She didn't want to wake Furina. The girl clearly needed to rest. After a brief thought, Liu Yuan made a decision.

Hydro energy slowly formed in the air around her, flowing at her command. Within moments, a thin hydro barrier sealed Furina's room once again.

The sudden surge in Hydro concentration within the Palais Mermonia immediately caught Neuvillette's attention as he worked in his office. His mind extended through the walls, sensing the disturbance, and soon he saw the same phenomenon that had occurred a month ago — Furina's room sealed once again.

Neuvillette lowered his eyes slightly, then calmly returned to the documents on his desk.

He had a premonition that such incidents — where Furina's room suddenly sealed itself — would happen many, many more times in the future.

---

Meanwhile, inside Furina's room — in the changing room.

Furina still slept soundly. She didn't know that Liu Yuan had already requested a leave for her today — though her method of "requesting leave" was rather special, it still worked in the end, didn't it?

Liu Yuan leaned forward slightly, then slipped one arm under Furina's back and the other beneath her thighs. With gentle strength, she lifted the sleeping girl into her arms.

The girl was light — surprisingly light. Considering that she could eat over thirty servings of dessert a day, it was almost unbelievable how Furina still maintained such a figure.

She looked down at the girl in her arms. At that moment, Furina's head was pressed softly against Liu Yuan's chest. Perhaps sensing the familiar warmth and safety, the damsel unconsciously burrowed closer, settling into a comfortable spot before falling still.

Throughout the process, Liu Yuan's body stiffened.

Her heartbeat grew irregular, and her thoughts scattered into chaos.

For a long moment, until Furina stopped moving completely, Liu Yuan finally allowed her body to relax.

Her gaze drifted over Furina's peaceful face — the closed eyes, the soft blush, and… those rosy lips.

Something inside Liu Yuan stirred, and she quickly averted her gaze. She felt that if she continued to look, the rising heat in her thoughts might drive her to do something irrational.

Her mind… it was growing more and more chaotic.

Liu Yuan sighed softly, then carefully carried Furina toward the bed.

She walked slowly, afraid even her footsteps might disturb the sleeping girl. Furina was resting so peacefully now — Liu Yuan didn't want her to wake up because of a careless mistake.

When she reached the bedside, the curtains behind her were drawn by an unseen force. The sunlight that filtered through the windows dimmed completely, and with a soft click, the room's lights faded out as well.

Now, the room was pitch black — only Liu Yuan and the sleeping Furina remained.

Bending down, Liu Yuan gently laid her on the bed.

Furina wasn't wearing shoes or socks, and she was already in her pajamas, so Liu Yuan naturally didn't need to change her clothes.

Let her sleep well…

That was all Liu Yuan wanted.

She could see how exhausted Furina had been, and now, she looked so comfortable — perhaps dreaming of something pleasant.

Liu Yuan didn't want to interrupt that. She wanted Furina to rest.

She slowly withdrew her hand from under Furina — but in the next instant, the sleeping girl suddenly reached out, grasped Liu Yuan's hand, and murmured softly in her dreams:

"Don't… don't go… Liu Yuan… don't… leave me…"

It was the voice of someone dreaming, yet the words slipped from her lips so clearly.

Liu Yuan froze, her entire body stiffening. Her deep blue eyes lowered as she stared at the sight before her — Furina holding tightly onto her hand, face serene yet pleading.

Furina had pulled her hand close, hugging it against her chest. Liu Yuan could feel the warmth of the girl's body through the thin fabric of her pajamas — the gentle rhythm of her heartbeat brushing against her skin.

Liu Yuan didn't dare move.

She could have easily shifted into her spectral form and slipped away.

But she didn't.

Maybe it was because her increasingly tangled emotions made her forget that option — or maybe she simply didn't want to let go.

Whatever the reason, Liu Yuan remained still.

Time passed quietly. Then, at last, she reached out her free hand — not to pry away Furina's arms, but to pull the blanket gently over her sleeping form.

The room was silent. Only Furina's soft breathing and Liu Yuan's quickening heartbeat could be heard.

Liu Yuan stood there for a long while, watching her sleep — and in that silence, she slowly made a decision in her heart.
