William was in the middle of changing into the clothes Vitori had prepared for him.
A faint smile tugged at his lips as Nana's laughter echoed in his mind. They had been in the backyard, tossing a ball back and forth, her bright giggles filling the air. Even now, the memory lingered warmly in his chest.
If he could, he would have stayed with her a little longer. But they needed to return to the academy and avoid stirring unnecessary drama.
He had already spoken to Nana about it, and he was relieved she hadn't cried this time. Though sadness had flickered across her face, she had told him that as long as they kept surprising her with unexpected visits in the future, she would be happy.
Of course, he intended to visit her whenever he got the chance. After the midterms, the students would receive half a month of vacation.
He planned to spend that time with Nana and his father. And naturally, he had a few plans involving Emma as well, though he would keep those to himself for now.
