Bardy could tell that something was off. For some reason, both Brutus and his mother looked displeased.
It was early morning. He didn't have breakfast since he couldn't find any place that could be regarded as a dinning hall. And looking at them currently, he dare not interrupt them.
He was seated in the prayer hall, while the other two stood near the altar, speaking so quietly that not a single word reached him.
Brutus didn't even glance at him when Bardy entered, signifying that whatever the cause was, it affected them significantly.
All Bardy could do was guess. Was it related to the situation outside? Or perhaps something about William? As far as he knew, William had helped a great deal last night. Then what was the cause? Another Death Sink?
Fiona might be a nun but the death of a few civilians surely wouldn't have caused her to get mad at the soldiers or her son, right?
Or maybe it was because of Brutus's underwhelming performance last night? It could be anything...
