William took a deep breath, his breath slightly uneven as he wiped the blood from his nose, his eyes never leaving the monkey standing there, on one foot—the other one was still lifted which had previously kicked William.
'As I thought, this creature just loves to play around…' It hadn't tried to come at William with the intent to kill, rather it was absorbed in the battle.
Raising his arm abruptly, William sent a cleaving arc towards the monster…but,
**CRACK**
It slashed its arm too, completely slashing the cleave—leaving no damage on the monster.
As he thought, there was no point in trying to use spells on it. It could see aether constructs.
The monster started to walk…toward him.
William flicked his wrist and his knife, lying a few meters away, flew back to his hand.
