Chapter 125 - YGS [125]

Seeing how swiftly Tartaglia paid up, Luya immediately brought out 10,000 Scratch Cards and stacked them before him. Tartaglia called a few people over to help carry them, then left the store—he needed to find a quiet place. To scratch all day.

After all, as Ganyu had demonstrated earlier, the Scratch Cards didn't even need Luya to verify winnings—once you scratched a winning symbol, you claimed the prize instantly!

To avoid drawing unnecessary attention, Tartaglia simply took them and disappeared.

As for the regular customers, things unfolded exactly as Luya had predicted. Everyone was fired up after watching Ganyu scratch out a Vision!

"Me too!!!"

"I'll take 50!"

"Give me 100!"

"I want 500!!"

The shouts for Scratch Cards echoed nonstop throughout the store. Luya couldn't have been more pleased with the chaos. The moment these Scratch Cards hit the market, he had already gauged their true potential… he sighed inwardly:

As expected… whether it's Blue Star or Teyvat... under this sky, there's never a shortage of gamblers!

Customers scrambled to buy the cards. With their cheap price and high rewards, the Scratch Cards exploded in popularity.

"Whoa!"

"I pulled [Stardust Dragon]!"

[Stardust Dragon] Level 8│WATER│Dragon│2500 ATK / 2000 DEF

Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

"No way! That's so cool!"

"Insane... I'm jealous!"

"I just pulled an entire [Dark Magician] Deck!?"

"Are you serious???"

"Fake!"

"Bro, quit trolling!!"

"I only got one piece of [Exodia the Forbidden One]... but I'm so close… just four more to go!"

"Tch..."

"Hahaha! I hit 50,000 Mora!!"

"Nice! Lunch is on me today~"

"What!? You can win Mora too?"

"Lucky guy!"

Soon, the shop was full of scratching sounds and excited voices. Every now and then, someone would shout in amazement over their prize.

Within two hours of opening, 30,000 Scratch Cards had already sold! Luya had pocketed 600 million Mora, with about 200,000 left in stock.

The Scratch Cards were selling even better than card packs—not only were they cheaper, but the potential prizes were endless. And above all, Ganyu's miracle win had proven that the cards could actually yield a Vision. That sealed it—the customers were completely obsessed.

Since the cards were cheap and could even grant Mora at random, players who had never gambled before were now hooked. Before this, the only real gambling in Liyue had been at the Jade Mystery's "ore betting." Their slogan—"One cut to poverty, one cut to fortune, one cut to live with the Qixing"—was legendary.

However, gambling on ore required enormous sums of Mora—something only the wealthy could afford. Luya's Scratch Cards, on the other hand, had no such downside.

At just 2,000 Mora apiece, with decent win rates and even the occasional cash prize—not to mention the chance to win a Vision—it was the ultimate temptation.

Luya was certain that once word of Ganyu's Vision spread, the Scratch Card craze would reach an entirely new level. He decided to strike while the iron was hot—tomorrow, he'd open several new branches across Liyue Harbor!

Card packs would be secondary—the Scratch Cards would be the main attraction! And he didn't even need to spend 50 million Mora per system-licensed branch.

He could simply rent storefronts and materialize a few humanoid monsters to act as sales clerks. No distributors—Luya himself was the supplier and seller, cutting out all middlemen!

Once he had more funds, he could open official branches at will. For now, he needed Mora—and fast. The Scratch Cards were the perfect money-maker. After all, for just 2,000 Mora, anyone could chase the dream of a Vision.

Even those who didn't hit one could still win Mora or rare cards—a pretty great deal either way.

They could sell rare cards for Mora and keep scratching, enjoying both the thrill and the reward.

Meanwhile, Luya earned massive profits. The cards only cost 500 Mora each to produce, and he sold them at four times the price. If he could export them to other nations, even better—he'd promote Yu-Gi-Oh! while raking in Mora. A total win-win.

Luya resolved to amass as much Mora as possible before Xianyun and the Greater Lord Rukkhadevata completed their research. He would need a fortune to manufacture the [Portable Game Console] and build the internet network.

For now, his sole mission was to earn… and earn fast!

By lunchtime, thanks to Liyue's enthusiastic citizens, only 50,000 Scratch Cards remained. Luya sighed regretfully.

"Should've ordered more of these..."

Still, he wasn't too disappointed—his restaurant was now ready to open. Time to earn another wave of Mora from Liyue Harbor's ravenous crowd!
