Chapter 132 - Chapter 132: Long-Awaited Training

Inside a luxuriously decorated study, Dr. Magnus Solans sat behind his desk, flipping through a thick book.

After finishing the final stages of his experiment, Magnus finally had time to leave the research center and return to the manor, once again restoring the dignified image of a family patriarch.

"So, have you finished investigating this Silas?"

Magnus closed the book, pushed up his glasses, and a faint aura of authority spread from him , completely different from the obsessed researcher he had appeared to be before.

No one who could become the head of a great family was ordinary.

Magnus just simply happened to be a little obsessed with research.

In reality, he was also an extremely capable trainer and scientist.

"Master, the investigation is complete. These are his records."

The butler bowed respectfully and handed over a neatly prepared file.

"However… some parts remain unclear."

Magnus casually accepted the documents while saying,

"Our family focuses mainly on research and business. We have fewer connections in political or trainer circles, so this isn't your fault."

He began reading.

When he reached the section mentioning Silas'Level-2 League Authority, which appeared to have been granted by a Gym Leader, Magnus frowned slightly.

As the head of a major family and more importantly, as Selene's father ,he paid very close attention to the people who approached his daughter.

Every friend she made would be thoroughly investigated.

According to the records, Silas' background seemed normal.

He was born on a small island in the South Orange island of the region.

His parents had served as hereditary island wardens under the Pokémon League and were technically part of the League's affiliated families.

However, because they had not paid the trainer development funds, Silas had not received a starter Pokémon.

Magnus continued reading.

"Exceptional talent in Pokémon breeding… recognized as a genius breeder in Rustboro City."

The file contained very little detail about Silas' early life.

There was no information about where he learned to make Poke block Cubes, or who had taught him.

From the outside, it looked like a self-taught prodigy who had somehow become a professional breeder.

Magnus tapped the file thoughtfully.

The world was large.

Every year, a few unbelievable geniuses would appear. But something about Silas still felt… unusual.

"Master, shall we mobilize the family's connections and investigate further?" the butler asked carefully.

Magnus stood and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window.

Outside on the lawn, Silas was laughing and talking with Selene.

After a moment, Magnus shook his head.

"No need."

"Everyone has secrets."

"It's not a serious matter, and besides… he already has Level-2 authority."

"There may be some influential figure backing him."

"As long as it's not a Champion or a Regional Chairman, the Solans family has nothing to fear."

"But there's also a no need to provoke unnecessary trouble either."

Magnus looked at Silas' figure in the distance and sighed quietly.

...

The Manor Training Grounds

Silas was currently training his Pokémon on the estate's large training lawn.

Selene sat quietly on the grass nearby, hugging her knees as she watched him.

The affection in her gaze was impossible to hide.

"Sandile! Use Stomping Tantrum!"

"Sandileee!"

Sandile slammed its foot into the ground.

Ripples of force spread outward through the soil.

Silas nodded in satisfaction.

After drinking the potion made from Leyline Stone Milk, combined with Sandile's natural talent for Ground-type techniques, its progress had been remarkable.

In such a short time, it had already mastered the newly learned move Stomping Tantrum.

Silas could already imagine the day when it evolved into Krookodile and unleashed Earthquake across the battlefield.

"Brother Silas, you must be tired. Come eat some fruit."

Selene walked over with a basket, looking almost like a newlywed wife welcoming her husband home.

Silas first called back his Murkrow, which had been practicing flight techniques in the sky.

Then he accepted the towel Selene handed him and wiped the sweat from his forehead.

The fruit she brought came from her Tropius.

The yellow fruit hanging beneath Tropius' chin looked like bananas. But they were actually a special variety of fruit unique to Tropius.

They were sweet and extremely popular with children.

Because Tropius produced fruit twice a year, many trainers raised them specifically for this crop.

Silas casually accepted the fruit.

"Selene, you don't have to stay here watching me train."

Selene smiled innocently.

"I like being with you."

On the lawn, Silas and his Pokémon continued their intense training.

Murkrow and Sandile underwent rigorous drills.

Meanwhile, Umbreon had become good friends with Selene's Glaceon.

After all, both evolved from Eevee.

As for Crawdaunt and Sharpedo, Silas didn't release them.

Although the training lawn was specially reinforced, it could only withstand attacks from Pokémon below Level 30.

...

The sun gradually sank below the horizon.

The evening sky glowed with beautiful red clouds.

Silas, breathing slightly heavily, began preparing dinner for his Pokémon.

He poured out the Poke block Cubes and Pokémon food he had prepared earlier.

After a full day of training, the hungry Pokémon immediately rushed to their bowls once Silas gave permission.

They devoured their food eagerly.

Various nutritional supplements were also included.

Calcium tablets.

Vitality Powder.

Each Pokémon also received its own favorite snack.

For example, Sandile loved fresh Mareep milk and it insisted on milk freshly collected from a Skiddo.

What could Silas do?

They were his Pokémon.

Of course he would spoil them a little.

He spared no effort in raising them properly.

"Come on, Little Icyy. Time for dinner!"

Selene was also feeding her Pokémon.

Silas watched from the side, his eyelids twitching slightly.

The snacks she prepared for Glaceon were made using Never-Melt Ice.

Even a low-quality piece less than ten years old could cost 200,000–300,000 PokéDollars.

And she was casually mixing it into Glaceon's food like dessert.

Silas couldn't help but sigh internally.

The difference between rich families and ordinary trainers was enormous.

Technically, he could also raise Pokémon at that level. But only one or two at most.

He had five Pokémon.

Even though he earned money quickly, expenses grew just as fast.

His training plans were already far more expensive than what normal trainers could afford.

But compared to Selene…

It was nothing.

Money really did come and go quickly.

.....

Suddenly, Selene seemed to remember something.

"Brother Silas!"

"In a few days, Fallabor Town will be holding a Pokémon Exchange Fair."

"Do you want to go together?"

She looked at him with bright, expectant eyes.
