Back in the world, the heroes' situation is desperate. The monstrous, amorphous entity grows with every passing second, and Malak and his followers are gaining the upper hand against the splinter group led by Soria. Aki is caught in the middle, helpless to stop the chaos. Just as he is about to be consumed by the wild magic, a single, golden mote of light streaks down from the sky and enters his body.
Aki gasps as a surge of pure, powerful energy courses through him. The golden light that once marked him as the protector of the Divine Seed now glows with a new, stronger brilliance. He feels a part of Lyra within him—not her soul, but her pure, untainted power. He is now the living Echo of the True Pact.
With this new power, he no longer needs to just rely on his pure heart. He knows what he has to do. He looks at the raging monster and the power-mad Malak, and he understands their shared weakness. He can't fight them in a traditional way, but he can use this new power to restore order.
In a flash of pure, golden light, Aki's body is filled with a power he has never known. It's not the explosive force of Jace's magic or the precise art of Elara's alchemy. It is the very essence of the Echo of the True Pact, and it gives him a magical and huge ability: the power to purify and command the wild magic itself.
His body glows with a pure, divine light as he stands between the rampaging magical monster and Malak. Aki raises his hand, and the very air around him stills. He can feel every chaotic current, every wild surge of energy, and he understands it. With a simple motion, he pulls the monster's chaotic power into himself, purifying it. The monstrous form of the beast shudders, its violent energy calmed and turned into a pure, benevolent force.
The monster, now a gentle, ethereal being of light, looks at Aki. Aki points a finger at Malak, and with a voice that is both his and something more, he says, "You sought to command chaos. I will bring order."
The monster, now his to command, flies at Malak. Malak, shocked and enraged, tries to absorb the energy, but the pure magic burns him. The monster doesn't harm him, but it purifies the wild, chaotic magic he was using, leaving him drained and powerless.
Malak, defeated and stripped of his power, collapses. The Ethershifters, seeing their leader's defeat and the power of pure magic, surrender. The great threat is over.
But as the cheers of the heroes fill the air, a final scene takes place. The golden light around Aki recedes, and in front of him, a gentle, ethereal form of Lyra appears. She is glowing, her form transparent, but her smile is as warm and loving as he remembers.
"My Aki," her voice whispers, a soft melody only he can hear. "You have done it. You were the true guardian all along."
She leans down, her ghostly form giving him a gentle, loving kiss on his forehead. The pure, golden light from the Divine Seed, now a part of him, glows brightly. She pulls back, her form beginning to fade into thin air.
"Thank you, my friend," she whispers, a final, beautiful goodbye. Her spirit dissolves, leaving only a faint echo of her touch on his forehead.
Aki, tears in his eyes, touches his forehead. He is no longer a boy with a secret, but a young man with a profound purpose. The war of the gods is over, and the new age has truly begun.
