Chapter 110: Black Reaper Corps and Zoro's attacks
"Look out, intruders!!" shouted a man in the vast underground chamber. But before he could finish, seven individuals had already been ambushed and slain with lethal precision.
Some enemies attempted to draw weapons but were swiftly disarmed and incapacitated. They weren't completely defenseless, though. Among them were martial artists and warriors of varying skill levels. Clashes broke out as the Black Reaper Corps advanced, initially holding the advantage, injuring and killing more opponents. But that edge began to fade as reinforcements poured in from adjoining rooms.
"Who dares attack our Night's Light Devouring Church branch?!" roared a scar-faced woman.
"You people—wait… they're from the Church too?! What's going on?!" cried a man in clergy robes, his face twisted in confusion.
"Ahh, whatever. It doesn't matter—kill them all," stated a brawny, red-skinned man in thick brown armor, his voice unnervingly calm.
At that moment, the twins, Kageha and Kuroha, entered the fray. They tore through enemies in an instant, shifting the momentum back to the Black Reaper Corps.
"Gold Tier experts!" the clergy-robed man gasped in shock.
The scar-faced woman was caught off guard by a coordinated surprise attack from Number 1 and squads 1 and 2 of the Reaper Corps. Though she managed to defend herself, she sustained heavy injuries.
"Damn it! Kill them all!!" she screamed in fury as her Silver Tier 5 aura exploded outward.
The man in robes, also Silver Tier 5, was blasted across the room by Kuroha, though his defensive barrier and enchanted robes spared him from critical injuries.
Meanwhile, the red-skinned brute engaged Kageha in a brutal duel. As a Gold Tier 1 warrior, his clash with Kageha sent shockwaves throughout the chamber, tearing the battlefield apart.
Eventually, the robed man could no longer keep up. His body was covered in wounds, and his arm had been severed.
"H-Help! Someone help me!!" he screamed in desperation as Kuroha prepared to end him.
But just before she could strike, she sensed something and leapt back—just as a beam of energy obliterated the space she had just occupied.
"Argh!! Damn it, this kid's good!" grunted the red-skinned man, retreating with several injuries—none fatal, but enough to concern him. Kageha appeared beside Kuroha, his face darkening as he spotted the newcomer.
The intruder was a man clad in black and red clergy robes, a medallion hanging from his neck. His skin was pale and grey, and his snake-like eyes gleamed with cold cruelty. The aura he emanated was unmistakably Gold Tier 2.
"Well, well… A bunch of experiments running wild, eh? I suppose I'll be the one to put you down," the man sneered, baring his sharp fangs.
"You ugly bastard," Kageha retorted with a smirk. "I'll gladly carve you up with my blade."
The battle resumed in full force. The Black Reaper Corps' earlier disadvantage was reversed, but amid the chaos, no one—except the twins—noticed that Zoro had vanished the moment the fighting began.
While the battle raged, Zoro moved at lightning speed through corridors and chambers, leaving a trail of destruction. Every person, trap, enchantment, automated weapon, and computer system was cleaved in half by the twin katanas in his hands. He could sense the distant, intense clashes involving the twins and the Church's Gold Tier experts—but ignored them.
He had a destination.
Several Church members, running toward the chaos, stopped in their tracks when they saw the blood-soaked carnage Zoro had left behind. But before they could react—
Schliiiing!!
A slash of Black Sword Ki tore through them all in an instant.
Zoro continued until he reached a slightly ajar door. Beyond it, stairs spiraled deeper into the compound. He paused briefly—then descended with purpose.
At the bottom lay a dungeon-like chamber littered with chains, debris, and malformed corpses. Dozens of cages filled the room—children of various ages inside, along with several chained adults.
Two individuals in clergy robes stood in the room. Sensing danger, they turned—just as Zoro blurred into motion.

Craaaashh!
One of the Church members was hurled into a wall, barely managing to block the strike, blood pouring from their wounds. The second went on the offensive, roaring:
"You lunatic! How dare you!!"
The wounded comrade rejoined the battle, casting spells while activating emergency defenses. Automated mana blasters rose from the walls, and demonic beasts burst into the chamber—collared and snarling.
The two enemies were formidable:
The Woman: Long red hair, sharp nails, a staff in hand, and wounds from Zoro's initial assault. A Gold Tier 2 mage.
The Man: Towering, muscular, with grey skin, a massive black sword, and a palpable demonic aura—clearly a demon himself.
Despite the odds, Zoro stood calm behind his mask, dodging blaster fire and shifting into a stance.
—4th Bright Brilliance Sword: Starfall Severance—
Both katanas lifted behind him, then swung down with devastating force. A massive shockwave of Black Ki shattered walls, disabled the blasters, flung back the beasts, and forced the two Church members to defend desperately.
"He's a Gold Tier 3—an incredibly strong one!!" the woman cried in horror as rubble began to collapse around them.
—One Sword Style: Instant Cutting Death—
Zoro shifted stances once more, releasing a single, blinding strike. In seconds:
Every cage and chain was severed.
Half the demonic beasts were cleaved in two.
A blazing crevice of Ki energy scarred the wall.
And the woman—
"No… You monster! You're Zoro… Tatsumak—"
She collapsed, her torso sliced cleanly apart.
The demon, now trembling, stared in horror.
"S-So it's you… No. NO! I won't die like this!!"
Screeching, he seized the woman's upper half, unhinged his jaw grotesquely, and devoured her.
His energy spiked violently—he had broken into Gold Tier 3—but he had lost control, consumed by madness.
"KILL!! I WILL KILL!!!"
And so, the final battle between the berserk demon and Zoro began.
