Chapter 119 - Chapter 113: The Shifting Tides of War

Chapter 113: The Shifting Tides of War

In a region ravaged by countless battles, two immense forces clashed in a brutal and unforgiving war.

On one side stood a diverse alliance:

The Bright Brilliant Blade Sect The Great Brawlman Sect The Fighting Brawlman Sect The Aka Boshi no Tengan Clan The Soloman Clan The Fae's Grand Spirit alliance The Iron Dog Alliance Members of the Fae Grand Spirit Alliance Various Noble Houses of Brawlmanica And other influential groups.

Opposing them was a dark coalition:

Demonic Beasts from the Rackshalla Clan Several other Demon Clans Members of various Evil Sects The Night's Light Devouring Church The Sussuri Oscuri And the Anti-Brawlmanica Alliance

This battlefield was one of many where such large-scale conflicts raged. While the alliance had the advantage, the margin was slim—one mistake could reverse their fortunes.

"Hahaha! So many of you have stooped to colluding with Demonic Beasts and demons? Pathetic," scoffed Mortal Lord Jolton, a key figure of the Iron Dog Alliance. He faced a distant opponent with a domineering expression.

"You bastards from the Rackshalla Clan will be sent back to the hell you crawled from."

Across from him stood a formidable Demonic Beast—an aura nearly equal to Jolton's. A familiar energy, one he'd felt years ago in the Stone Forest Mission, now flared before him again.

"Graaaaorr…!! Foolish mortal. The Rackshalla Clan will turn this land into a blood-soaked wasteland. Sealing us out was only a delay. Now… prepare to die," growled the creature, a monstrous hybrid resembling a scorpion with four legs, four muscular arms, and a long, segmented tail ending in a stinger that dripped with a hissing, corrosive fluid.

Though fierce, the demonic side was in a compromised position. Their invasion had been met with more resistance—and more power—than they anticipated.

In a different section of the battlefield, remnant members of the Night's Light Devouring Church were regrouped here with a more powerful branch after fleeing the town where Elton and the others had appeared.

"Are you saying that our church's monsterous experiment may have shown up there?" asked a middle-aged man in clergy robes, adjusting his small cap.

"We couldn't confirm it, but we found what appear to be test subjects from one of our purged branches," the kneeling subordinate replied.

"Hmm… Unfortunate timing. Otherwise, I'd order a full-scale assault," the Deacon muttered, before narrowing his eyes. "No matter. Another wave is approaching. Hold the line and prepare to counterattack."

"Yes, Deacon!" his followers shouted.

This Deacon, an early Mortal Shedding Realm expert, was one of the few high-tier combatants on this battlefield. Still, his every move was monitored, just like other Gold Tier 5+ experts, making recklessness a fatal mistake.

As another wave of attacks surged forward, Elton and his group arrived and seamlessly joined their allied formations. With their arrival—and that of more reinforcements—the Rackshalla forces began to falter.

"Damn it..!" snarled a Demonic Beast, bloodied but still fighting, only to be overwhelmed by the united might of the alliance.

Bit by bit, the demonic coalition was forced back, retreating further across the warfront.

Later that day, Zoro arrived alongside the Black Reaper Corps and the rescued former church captives.

"Ah, Zoro! You finally made it! Hahaha!" roared Ramiro, flashing a broad grin. "Ehh, look at you—did you get your ass kicked? Hahaha!!"

"Oh, did I? You look no better, idiot," Zoro shot back with a roll of his eye.

"Takes one to know one!" Ramiro retorted, smirking.

"Alright, boys, enough," said Erica, feigning exasperation.

"I'm glad you're here, Zoro. Things have gotten intense," Elton said, nodding.

"Yeah… intense alright," Zoro replied, scanning the battlefield's strategic formations and well-orchestrated tactics.

"Gege, now that Big Brother Zoro's back, let's assist in clearing Section 4! Also, welcome back, Big Brother Zoro," said Christy, her crimson eyes gleaming with magical patterns swirling inside them.

"As you said, Chris. Move out—now!" Elton commanded.

Sects from the Aka Boshi no Tengan Clan, the Soloman Clan, and even the Fanged Elves coordinated alongside them, primarily focused on defending their key members. This drew even more attention from both sides.

"Deacon!! Those kids—they're survivors from the church branch we had to abandon!!" cried the earlier messenger.

"So they are… And those masked figures—must be the White Star Radiance unit from the Bright Brilliant Blade Sect. As well as… the core of those insane Laughing Blue Reapers still roaming around," muttered the Deacon. Then his eyes widened. "Wait…! Faint as it is, I sense the monster among them."

His tone shifted to one of dark conviction.

"We wait for now. But soon—we will spare nothing to capture and kill that abomination."

"For the Church!" bellowed the surrounding clergy soldiers in unison.

The fierce assault led by Elton, Zoro, and their allies successfully shattered enemy resistance in Section 4. Simultaneously, other areas saw similar breakthroughs as allied factions overran the battlefield.

The Rackshalla clan and their demonic allies, now battered and reeling, were forced to pull back and regroup. Though some reinforcements arrived to aid them, the tide of battle had already shifted decisively against them.

By the fourth day, the demonic coalition launched a final, all-out offensive—a desperate bid to turn the tables. This climactic strike involved even their Mortal Lord-level experts, a move that risked it all.
