Chapter 112 - Chapter 106: Leaving seclusion and rushing to the mission

Chapter 106: Leaving seclusion and rushing to the mission

A few weeks had passed. The Elder in the sect could no longer delay Christy's request on going on the mission to be assigned to their group. Even up until now, Elton was still in seclusion making his breakthrough. Everyone in their group couldn't help but sigh.

"So in the end, Elton couldn't make it on time… Well, I guess it just is what it is," said Ramiro as he shrugged his shoulders in helplessness.

Upon hearing that, many downcast expressions could be seen among their group.

"Well, let's head to where the group of Elders are located to officially receive the mission," said Christy with an unreadable face.

With that, everyone from White Star Radiance, under the alias White-Black-Fang, headed to the area with Zoro as leader. This mission was going to be one of the harder, long-term missions stationed back in Brawlmanica. According to the Elder, they were to take action along with the Great Brawlman Sect, the Iron Fang Sect, and the Fighting Brawlman Sect to wipe out demons and demonic beasts that had long since flooded the lands and continued to build footholds in the country. They were also to aid the Kingdom of Brawlmanica with some of their requests.

There were also two hidden key points to the mission as well that would only be given depending on various other circumstances.

And with that, the group was preparing to set off. Part way through the journey, they were to wear the uniform and mask of the White Star Radiance group for anonymity. They would eventually meet up with a faction of soldiers sent by three Noble houses of Brawlmanica. One of them being none other than the Leon family, which Ramiro was excited about, and even Sofia.

In total, there were about 21 individuals headed for this mission, including the off and on appearing Nahjer and Mykuna, who were both at the peak of Silver Tier 5, as well as the recently joining Talia, who was currently at Gold Tier 1.

As a reminder, Talia is one of the genius disciples from the Bright Blade subsect that was selected to become an Inner Disciple at the Bright Brilliant Blade Sect. She was always on good terms with Elton, Zoro, Christy, and the other friends they had at that time, even though they had their own cliques. Two months ago, she had finally got the courage to ask if she could join their faction. Zoro was not able to answer and said he would only accept Elton's decision and even consider Christy's decision. Naturally, Christy agreed to let her join but also said that Elton still had the final say. Talia was naturally ecstatic.

And so, the group boarded a large-sized Magical flying vehicle specially made for them with space to accompany around 30 people, and Talia became the designated pilot due to her claims of having great piloting skills from her time as a young child due to her parent's occupation as Magical Vehicle engineers in Brawlmanica.

Joe-Pine also had summoned a smaller sized Sword Bird (about the size of two horses) that he tamed. Both him and Shirleaf would ride it together from higher above to scout the areas and then land back on the Flying vehicle for a rest.

While leaving the sect, a number of them couldn't help but look back with downcast expressions once more, seeing that they had to leave Elton behind. Many sighs were had as they tried to rally their determination. There were two other groups that were flying along in their own flying Magical vehicles somewhat close by, who were similarly going on missions related to the White Star Radiance's mission. The Soloman clan faction, led by Sarkies, and the Aka Boshi clan faction, led by a sharp-eyed man.

Back in the sect, a huge rumble had occurred within a certain cultivation chamber in a cave house. This cave house was owned by none other than Elton as two powerful synergizing energies of both Magic and Ki created small shockwaves before finally retracting.

"AHhh! Finally, I've done it! Whew… I didn't expect it to take so long, but I suppose it makes sense given that I'm practically dual cultivating Magic and Ki now…" said Elton with an exhausted yet proud expression on his face.

"Hmph! Are you really happy with your slow performance?? The amount of times you were messing up was disastrous if you ask me. I could have finished about a month ago," said the inner voice in Elton's mind, which put a huge damper on his excitement.

"Ughh, so annoying! Why can't you ever shut up and say something positive when I make some sort of achievements!" yelled Elton in annoyance.

"Hahaha!! How foolish. Yet it's because of your slowful mess-ups that you are missing all of your friends who are leaving the sect for whatever reason," laughed the inner voice in arrogant disdain.

"Ehhhhh!?!? Damnit!" shrieked Elton as he dashed out of his cave home and went to the core mission area for certain disciples.

His extreme speed shocked many people around, with most of them only seeing a blur flying by. Elton rushed all the way to the area and met up with one of the Elders.

"W-w-where is my group?!" asked Elton as he was trying to catch his breath.

"Oh? Elton, you're no longer in seclusion. Oh! You've reached Gold Tier 3! Congrats, boy," said the Elder with a huge smile on his face.

"Ah yes, thank you, Elder. It certainly was a time to—No! Wait, Elder, please, where are my group of friends?! The mission? What's happening?" replied Elton as his mind was all over the place.

"You've just missed them, boy, but don't worry, they will be fine an—" Before the Elder could finish, Elton asked him a question.

"Which direction did they head off to?"

"The direction? They are heading over there towards Brawlmanica for a speci—Oi, Boy, what are you doing?!?!"

"Thanks, Elder!"

To the Elder's shock, Elton sped off with incredible speed, and before he could stop him, he suddenly saw that sword that was on his back shine with a bright light. It suddenly appeared before Elton like lightning, and he stepped on top of it. He then shot off into the skies at an unimaginable speed. Many other Disciples and Elders were going to stop him, but suddenly the voice of a presence made them stop in their tracks.

"Let that young man be. Hehe, such a promising disciple we have." The voice who said that was another Elder hidden nearby who was a Middle Stage Mortal Lord.

The Elder that spoke to Elton just moments ago still had a dumbfounded look on his face as he murmured to himself. "Is that kid the reincarnation of a Sword Immortal or something? Only Mortal Lords at the Soul Tier should be capable of riding a sword like that… How???"

The White Star Radiance group were beginning to fly faster and faster as they looked at the sect that was starting to shrink before their eyes.

"Well then, let the fun begin! When we come back, we should brag to Elton about how much of the action he's missing out on, hahaha!" said Ramiro as he tried to lift everyone's spirits.

"Heh, now you're speaking my language. This should be fun," replied Zoro with a grin.

"Goodness, you men…" said Erica as she rolled her eyes.

"Rami, perhaps we might be able to find another one to add to your heroic goals for the future! I think that there might be more candidates in the sect, though," said Seralily with an enchanting smile filled with excitement.

"Huh? My goal?" Ramiro asked in confusion.

"Hmm, do you guys hear something?" asked Christy as she suddenly paused and listened.

"Hmm, do you think it's from those people from the other two flying Magical Vehicles?" asked Mykuna with her sharp eyes looking towards them through the windows on either side.

"Ehhh?! No, it's not them! This Princess hears it loud and clear. It's like a woosh sound and a pwooo sound atop of something hard with a slight click sound," said Amberleaf with her eyes wide open, trying to figure it out.

"Uhhh, wha?" said Ramiro as he looked at her funny.

Shayleaf suddenly shot to her feet in shock as she shouted, "Ms. Talia, please slow down the Magical Vehicle!! Please do it now!"

Suddenly, Erica's eyes widened as she felt a magical pulse through the symbol on the left side of her face beneath her eye. "Could it be?!?!?"

Right after, Christy's eyes shot wide open as her Aka Boshi No Tengan activated with hundreds of thousands of tiny Magical symbols flowing within her eyes as she looked in a certain direction. "Gege…"

"Brother Elly!!!! Brother Elly has come!! He's left his seclusion!!" cried Shayleaf with tears of excitement.

"Elton?!" a number of voices asked in surprise.

The people from the two other magical vehicles in the air were also very surprised, seeing a figure moving extremely rapidly from the sect. The people from the Aka Boshi faction were able to vaguely figure out his identity soon after.

"Ohhh, is that the young Miss' future husband? Hehe, quite the character," said the sharp-eyed leading man.

"Sir Carlton. We've traveled and fought alongside him before, and he truly is a splendid man. Though if there is one issue at hand, it's that he is connected to the Soloman clan, even if they seem estranged. More than that, Soloman clan's Young Miss Erica has obviously taken a huge liking to him, and then there is also the Fanged Elf clan royals," said one of the Gold Tier 1 experts of the Aka Boshi no Tengan clan. He had long since been acquainted with Elton after their meeting in the Bright Blade sect during that war a year ago.

The sharp-eyed man squinted his glowing red eyes as he laughed while saying, "Ohhhh, Interesting… He seems more talented than Lord Jonovan, who recently finally became a Mortal Lord. Heh, and didn't he and Madam Christina conceive Miss Christy as teens? Even though it affected their cultivation speed… No matter what, we must have those two produce more talents for our clan."

In the Soloman clan faction, the first person to notice that the person was Elton was John Soloman. How could he possibly forget that technique that he witnessed during the Bright Blade sect war, though he never told Erica. He's also seen him use short variants of it before! John clenched his fist in annoyance.

The very second person to notice was none other than Rija. Her heart quickly pounded with excitement, but then she tried to shake that feeling as she cursed to herself. What the hell was happening to her? The thought of it brought her horror.

The third person was naturally Sarkies, as he glanced at Rija helplessly, shaking his head. "Hmm, Is it due to his bloodline? An anomaly? I must report this to the clan… It's not just her either."

He glanced at two other women from their clan who were watching the display going on outside. These two women were around the same age as Rija being 17 and 18 years old. They barely had any encounters with Elton, but he noticed the hard-to-hide sparkles in their eyes In the few times they did meet.

Then again, the other women of the clan weren't necessarily like that per se, but they had less time to even see Elton. Sarkies only had some growing suspicions because he felt a slight tug at his bloodline the moment Elton flew close enough on his sword. He'd felt that tugging feeling slightly before but he passed it off as simply the Soloman bloodline recognition activating. Now it was a bit stronger this time, and he noticed that Elton's breakthrough was evidently a factor.

This had to be reported….

Shirleaf and Joe-Pine swiftly shot over to Elton and picked him up on the Sword Bird.

"Thanks, guys! Whew! I'm so happy I made it in time," said Elton with an exhausted face filled with appreciation.

"Hahaha, There is no need to thank us, my good leader and friend," said Shirleaf with a beautiful teasing smile. "Now then let's head to the Magical Vehicle."

"Hahaha! Good job making it over so swiftly with such a grand entrance!" laughed Joe-Pine.

The Sword Bird soon landed on the Flying Magical Vehicle, and they entered inside. The excitement from everyone around was very evident. Even Zoro, Kageha, and Kuroha couldn't help but get caught up in the atmosphere.

"Brother Elly!!!!" cried Shayleaf as she grabbed his arm and snuggled up on him.

"Hahahaha! Welcome aboard, Elton! Tch, you were so late, and you had these people getting depressed," laughed Ramiro in amusement.

"Kufufu, This Princess is happy to see this s-stunning man once more. This fool over here is one of the depressed people he was talking about," chided Amberleaf with a beautiful and arrogant smile.

"Amberleaf…" Ramiro had a downcast expression, causing Seralily, the Ramiro Fan Club (?), and Sofia to come and cheer him up.

Erica grabbed Elton's other arm and gave him a small whisper of "Welcome, El Onyem."

Christy walked over and started straightening out Elton's hair, straightening his robes, and cleaning the dust off of his face with a bright smile, and then she spoke. "It's truly good to have you back, Gege… Putting that aside, as our leader, I have to give you the entire rundown of the mission's information. You must also make certain decisions on some of these things. I will also give you the info on our initial decisions, and you can decide if they stay the same or if we should change our course of actions."

One of Christy's friends came over as she sorted the information. At some point, she became something along the lines of a Treasury and information documenter of their group. She was a tall, beautiful, glasses-wearing mage named Micca. She was kind of the shy type, especially when it came to guys like Elton, Ramiro, and Zoro, who were strong, handsome, and had a charisma about them. "E-Elton, this right here is the sorted information. I've taken extra care to make it easier while adding thoughts and more details about certain things…"

Elton gave her a warm smile as he replied, "Thank you, Micca. Your help is always appreciated with how much thoughtfulness you put into it."

Micca went silent as her face turned redder as she just nodded her head in gratitude.

"El Onyem. Lately, I feel like you should act more like big brother Zoro," said Erica with a frown plastered on her face.

"Ehh? What's wrong, Sister Erica? I like the way Brother Elly is right now! He's so cool! And he has once more grown even taller recently," exclaimed Shayleaf in happiness.

And so the group continued to set off.
