Chapter 38 - Titan;:?

Cătălin surveyed the main console, the twisted metal and sparking circuits making it clear—it was beyond repair. The titan would not respond here. He cursed under his breath.

"Don't panic," Daniel said, kneeling by a secondary console half-buried under debris. "If we can reroute the power from this one… maybe we can kick-start the systems enough to reach the titan."

Cătălin nodded, stepping back as Daniel's fingers danced over the controls. Sparks leapt and the air hummed as he twisted relays, reconnecting lines that hadn't been touched in decades. Slowly, lights flickered along the walls—warning lights, consoles, and finally the arcane glyphs of the manufactorum.

"There!" Daniel shouted. A low, resonant rumble filled the chamber as energy began to surge toward the titan. The massive blast doors groaned and shuddered, resisting the flow at first, then slowly sliding open.

Cătălin grabbed a nearby lever. "We need to wake the slumbering drones. If anything still patrols the manufactorum, we want them on our side."

Daniel nodded, hitting a final switch. Dozens of maintenance drones blinked awake, their servos whirring and optical sensors snapping to life. The little machines scuttled and hovered, ready to assist—or attack intruders if things went wrong.

A deep vibration shook the chamber as the titan's systems began to hum, pulsing with latent energy. The main core flickered under the surge of redirected power, then roared to life, glowing with a blue-white intensity.

Cătălin and Daniel stepped back, feeling the sheer weight of the awakening. The titan's massive limbs began to twitch, testing its servos, and the blast doors opened fully, revealing the shadowed manufactorum beyond.

Daniel clapped his hands over his ears as the titan emitted a deep, resonant growl. "She's alive," he whispered, awestruck. "The core… it's stable, but charging. We've got minutes before it reaches full output."

Cătălin looked up at the massive machine. "Then we move fast. We charge her, and then we take the fight to whatever remains of the Orks in the manufactorum. Nothing will stop us now."
