POV: Jasmine
Alaric paused, slowly pulling away when I bit hard on his lower lip until I tasted blood. He needed to be brought back to reality.
He licked his bleeding lip, his gaze hooded as he smirked.
"It's June, Alaric!" I said in panic, scampering to my feet from the edge of the pool.
I was naked, and thankfully, it was already dark. We had spent the whole evening fucking and making out. If I ran quickly enough, she wouldn't be able to see me.
But just before I stood to my feet, Alaric grabbed me and yanked me back into the water.
A strangled gasp escaped me as I crashed into his chest, water splashing violently around us.
"What the hell are you doing?" I hissed, but before I could fully register the wicked smirk on his lips, I heard June's voice just directly above me.
"Alaric? Jasmine?"
She was already standing at the edge of the pool.
My breath locked in my throat.
June was staring straight at us.
