ALARIC POV
I pulled back just enough to study her face. Her cheeks were flushed, her lips slightly parted, eyes closed as if imagining all I was saying to her, and her chest rose and fell in uneven breaths. I smirked, brushing my thumb over her cheek and letting my voice soften. "I never knew you were a virgin."
She stiffened slightly, her lashes lowering just enough to hide the way her eyes flickered with embarrassment.
I tilted her chin up, forcing her to look at me, "Do you know what that means?"
Her lips parted, but she didn't respond.
"It means I will be the one to take it," I continued, my grip tightening just slightly on her chin. "And if you ever give it to another man, I will kill him."
Her breath hitched.
Her pupils dilated just enough for me to notice.
Fascinating.
"Alaric. No. You can't possibly take..." She pressed against my chest trying to protest, but I didn't give her the luxury of time for any protests.
