"Lady Lust of the Sin Council is Momo Deviluke?"
This news also took Sharon aback:
"Can you be certain?"
"I've seen her in Europe," Sharon stated decisively. "Though I never saw her tail, her facial features closely match the image Luo Shu provided."
"Hidden her tail?" Sharon stroked her chin thoughtfully. "Deliberately concealing such a distinctive feature makes sense."
"But if you've seen her before, why only now confirm she's Lady Lust of the Sin Council?"
Enigma narrowed her eyes slightly, amused as she explained:
"First, she didn't hide her tail during the Sin Council meeting."
"Second, when I saw her in Europe, she was likely a subordinate of the previous Lady Lust."
"The previous Lady Lust died half a year after I saw her. At the next Sin Council meeting, the new Lady Lust appeared - a demon who didn't conceal her tail at all."
"Heh heh... Back then, Gluttony and Hao Asakura, who hadn't yet become council members, seemed particularly interested in Lust's species. They likely collaborated afterwards."
"This aligns with Lust's subsequent ascension to Demigod status."
"Considering the SDS Intelligence Department's theories about Hao Asakura, he appears to be cultivating candidates capable of reaching Demigod status."
"Perhaps he recognised Lust's unique racial traits and provided resources for her advancement?"
"I see. That does form a reasonable chain of reasoning."
After hearing Enigma's explanation, Sharon understood the basis for her conclusion.
As a subordinate of the previous Lady Lust, Momo had hidden her tail during her encounter with Enigma.
After the previous Lust's death, the new Lady Lust appeared at the Sin Council with her distinctive heart-tipped tail, matching Momo's true appearance.
Moreover, Momo's species possessed extraordinary innate abilities, likely granting power on par with a Demigod from birth.
With Hao Asakura's suspected collaboration with Lust, and Lust being among the first to ascend to Demigod status when conditions permitted...
When all these facts were connected, identifying Momo Belia Deviluke as Lust became entirely plausible.
"So this so-called mission to locate a Devilukean is actually about a little girl searching for her family?"
Sharon couldn't help but find this amusing: "So that's why there's only 'Deviluke Star people', without any information on their race, appearance, abilities or personality traits? Just sending people to search blindly?"
"Was she worried that members of the Sin Council might develop some... undesirable ideas?"
"Or perhaps it was just a casual attempt."
Luo Shu suddenly interjected at this point, looking at Sharon and Enigma:
"According to Enigma's description, Momo has likely been in this world for quite some time. Given her innate power, gathering some people to search for her family wouldn't be difficult."
"And the Hell Sect might very well be the investigators she selected."
"In such circumstances, if she still hasn't found any trace of her family, it's entirely possible she eventually posted the mission at the Sin Council."
"Of course, considering Enigma's earlier summary of the meeting's general situation..."
"Isn't there already a trusted Gluttony on the Sin Council?"
"I suspect Momo probably knows Gluttony's true identity and believes they could be valuable in finding her family. That would explain why she posted this mission."
Enigma couldn't help but recall the previous meeting, realising that Lust had indeed been observing Gluttony for quite some time:
"That speculation does seem highly plausible..."
Sharon then expressed regret:
"So you're saying the only Devilukean in this world right now is likely just Lust? Just Momo Belia Deviluke alone?"
"With high probability... that would be the case."
Luo Shu nodded slightly, then sighed softly before turning to Enigma and asking:
"Enigma, could you share what you know about the members of the Sin Council? Their appearances, personalities, and their real-world identities."
Hearing this, though surprised, Enigma replied:
"My knowledge of the Sin Council members is limited, only knowing the identities of a few individuals."
As she spoke, Enigma began explaining:
"Pride was the first Sin Council member I encountered, though at the time I knew his master – the young head of the Phantomhive family, loyal hound to Queen Victoria of England."
"At that time, Pride served as the butler and steward to the Phantomhive head."
Hearing this, Luo Shu raised an eyebrow, showing genuine surprise at actually gaining useful information:
"Sebastian Michaelis?"
When Luo Shu uttered Pride's name, Enigma was equally startled:
"You know him, too?"
Luo Shu sighed at this point: "Only fragments. Beyond confirming he's definitely a demon, I only know about his post-butler activities."
Tapping the table lightly with his fingers, Luo Shu continued with self-deprecation:
"After realising Lust might be Momo Deviluke, I suspected there'd be other familiar faces on the Sin Council... but I never imagined even Pride, who hosts the meetings, would be someone I know..."
"Considering what I know of Sebastian, he shouldn't be able to lie to his contracted partner, Ciel Phantomhive."
"This suggests there must be a complicit Ciel Phantomhive behind Pride's actions."
"Pulling strings from the shadows?"
Based on Luo Shu's understanding of the Black Butler series, Ciel Phantomhive had contracted with the demon Sebastian under terms that forbade Sebastian from lying to him.
This implied Ciel Phantomhive was almost certainly aware of Sebastian's role as Pride in the Sin Council, possibly even directing things from behind the scenes.
Of course, since Hell Sect demons were connected to True Hell's demon nobility, Luo Shu couldn't tell whether Sebastian had ties to True Hell, whether Earl Phantomhive did, or both.
For now, he'd assume both were involved.
After some thought, Luo Shu relayed intelligence about both Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian to Sharon and Enigma, so they wouldn't be blindsided if they encountered this duo.
"So the little earl hides behind Pride..."
Receiving this information, Enigma's expression became slightly unsettled.
She'd always assumed Sebastian controlled that child acting like an adult, and that the precocious act was Sebastian's puppet show.
Yet... they were actually partners?
A human contracting a demon on such terms, able to indirectly command demonic actions?
She'd severely underestimated that brat...
After her expression shifted through several emotions, Enigma exhaled slowly:
"Upon returning to Europe, I'll secretly gather intelligence on the Phantomhive family for you."
Hearing this, Luo Shu glanced at the suddenly proactive Enigma and cautioned:
"Prioritise your own safety. Additionally, verify whether England's Queen Victoria is involved with the Sin Council."
"Now, continue introducing the Sin Council members."
Enigma's breath hitched upon hearing this. Were they suspecting the Queen of England of colluding with demons?
"...I understand."
After sighing, Enigma composed herself and proceeded to introduce the remaining members of the Sin Council.
