What is a Witcher? Signs, Steel Sword, Silver Sword, Alchemy Bombs, Potions, Gwent, and sorceresses…
Ahem, ignore the last one.
Clay could already use the Signs relatively skillfully. Although limited by his low level, he wasn't too satisfied with their actual power, but at least he had them.
The Silver Sword itself was used to kill specific monsters, a unique feature of the Witcher world. If this world didn't experience the troublesome events of the Conjunction of the Spheres, he wouldn't even need to consider making one to put on his back.
As for the Steel Sword, the standard weapons of White Harbor were enough for him for now. His future goal was to get a Valyrian Steel Sword, though most of the famous ones had owners, he could always scavenge one.
Clay remembered that the famous "Dark Sister," belonging to the Targaryen royal family, seemed to be in the hands of Duke Bloodraven. Clay needed to plan carefully how to get something from him. What if he succeeded?
As for Alchemy Bombs, well, the difficult part wasn't the formula itself, but rather how to make the detonator. If he could learn how to make detonators, Clay would essentially have gunpowder. Wouldn't he be able to walk all over this low-magic world?
As for Gwent, that most heinous thing, everyone was susceptible to its poison. Even a certain man named Geralt stopped looking for his daughter to play a game with anyone who would.
Sorceresses… forget it, can't think about it. Thinking too much would be too much.
Overall, Clay should focus more on potions during this precious time.
After finalizing the plan with the old man, who was always a man of action, he didn't waste any words and turned to leave the training ground.
He had already memorized what Clay needed and would now instruct the family's procurement team to head south or north to gather the necessary supplies.
As for selecting people from the 42 who had been dismissed, Count Wiman left it to Sir Marlon. After all, he had found them, so he naturally knew the ins and outs of the situation.
Count Wiman's requirement for Sir Marlon was, "You must eliminate at least half of the 42 people. Raise the standards, and ensure loyalty above all else. Don't take anyone who has no family."
Seeing Count Wiman leave the training ground, the waiting guards entered the field. Clay beckoned them over. Amidst their bewildered stares, he instructed them to clean up the wood fragments and tend to the injured horses.
Watching the young master's departing figure, the bewildered guards looked at the chaotic field and couldn't help but murmur: "Did... did the young master and the old man just have a fight here? How exciting!"
After listening to "Young Master Clay" greetings all the way, Clay went back to the room in the high tower in the center of the castle. He locked the door; only here could he avoid being disturbed.
With a thought, a dark blue system interface opened in his retina.
Witcher System (Level 2) Potions (drop-down)
Bombs (drop-down)
Equipment (drop-down)
Mana Pool: 120 Unlocked Signs: Quen (Level 1), Aard (Level 1), Igni (Level 1), Axii (Level 1) Items (drop-down)
This time, his goal was potions!
As a crucial part of a Witcher's combat effectiveness, the use of suitable potions played an immeasurable role in battle.
For example, although he, as a Witcher, didn't have a health bar, some potions with restorative abilities could activate his cells, causing them to divide rapidly, thereby allowing wounds to heal quickly.
Clay opened the potion menu and saw the four unlocked potion diagrams:
——
Thunderbolt Potion Recipe:
Dwarf Spirit -> Fire Spirit Devil's Needle Mushroom -> Gray Fungus Endrega Embryo -> Black-Spotted Locust Larva Effect: Can enhance the strength of the muscles, increasing the damage caused by attacks.
Side Effects: Muscle fibers are more prone to rupture, which can be offset by using Swallow Potion.
Note: It tastes like Cordyceps wine; just pretend it is. Please be careful, and never let others drink it unless you want them dead.
——
Swallow Potion Recipe:
Dwarf Spirit —> Fire Spirit White Poppy —> White Rose
Drowner Brain —> Spider Crab Gallbladder
Effects: Accelerates cell division, speeding up wound healing and stamina recovery.
Side Effects: None
Note: It's quite common. I suggest you take a swig of it every now and then. Yes, just like that.
Cat Potion Recipe:
Dwarf Spirit —> Fire Spirit Berberis Stem Fruit —> Dwarf Cypress Fruit Essence of Water —> Silver-Scaled Pomfret Marrow
Effect: Allows the Witcher to see in complete darkness, avoiding surprise attacks from any nocturnal adversaries.
Side effects: Slight impact on perception, but negligible. Can be counteracted with White Duck Potion.
Note: A must-have for night owls. Whether you're planning a late-night raid on the widow's village, or rather, navigating the night, or ambushing your foes, this potion is essential equipment.
Blizzard Potion Recipe
Dwarf Spirit -> Fire Spirit White Crape Myrtle Petals -> Frostfire Leaf
Golem Heart -> Shadow Lynx Heart Effect: Extends the Witcher's reaction time and enhances agility in combat.
Side effects: Increases physical strain, causing fatigue and making muscle tissue more susceptible to damage.
Note: Like Bullet Time? I know you do. Then chug this Blizzard Potion and go wild!

Ignoring the complicated ingredients listed in the note, which made him speechless, Clay pondered over these four potions.
It was obvious that these four potions were very practical, and Clay could even drink them all at once, stacking up damage buffs, body recovery, night vision, and high-speed reaction buffs on himself. He could truly become a god of death in the night, achieving the goal of night-raiding the… no, of assassinating important figures.
But the drawbacks of this method were also obvious. It was estimated that with Clay's current poison resistance, he could be knocked out just by the cumulative toxins contained in these four potions, any one of which would be enough to kill an ordinary person with a single sip.
Although each potion was not easy to make, and even in terms of effect and cost, Clay was definitely at a loss, the good thing was that once these potions were made, it was equivalent to making the medicine root. Each time, he only needed to add the spirit and take the supernatant for multiple uses.
With these and their proper use, Clay's combat ability would go up another level. When he was fully equipped, Clay could confidently put his hands on his hips and roar, "I want to fight ten!"
However, these things were not urgent, at least the priority was far behind the Witcher potions, and he couldn't use them at this stage anyway. He couldn't drink them like a beverage.
He planned to collect them himself, and if he really couldn't find them, he would tell his father to mobilize the family's resources to search.
A thousand things to consider, so many issues, but Clay wasn't flustered in the slightest. Because in this coming age of chaos, power, power, and more power! That was the only correct solution. As long as he strived towards this goal, he couldn't go wrong.
His fingers tapped on the finely crafted wooden table. No one knew what the young master of the Manderly Family was thinking, except for himself.
This chapter was incredibly painful to write. I had to dig up the original Witcher potion data, find a few that were actually useful, and then rummage through the plants that existed in the world of A Song of Ice and Fire (because I couldn't just make things up). I had to find similar ones to compare and combine them. This single page took me two hours to write. A real time killer, it was.
