Two petite horse girls stood in the stands, looking down at the track. One had long black hair with a subtle golden gradient at the tips. "Magic and miracles aren't free." As she spoke, Gold Ship lazily rested her chin on the railing. The cool sensation made her squint slightly.
If it weren't for the fact that the atmosphere at the Gold family's home had been a bit too oppressive lately, little Gold Ship would not have followed her sister around. Gold Ship just snorted noncommittally at her words and went back to leaning on the railing, only occasionally shifting to a cooler spot. Seeing her sister acting like a caterpillar, she could only smile helplessly and turn her gaze to the track.
On the track, all the horse girls had already entered the field, just waiting for the commentator's signal to enter the gates. Oguri Roman immediately spotted the figure she had been dreaming of lately among the contestants. Long black hair was tied into a ponytail with a red ribbon, revealing the girl's fair neck. The whole person seemed to be composed of only black, white, and red, with a clean and sharp aura.
Suddenly, she noticed a crown-shaped golden hairpin in her bangs. The small crown shone with a dazzling light under the sun. For some reason, her heart skipped a beat. With the crown accessory, the sharpness she had shown in her debut race now had an added, indescribable aura.
