Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Striking It Rich

Marshall Morgan carefully searched and indeed found a mountain path. Despite its steepness, with his cultivation, he could easily climb it.

Marshall was overjoyed and climbed up along the path.

A dozen minutes later, Marshall reached the summit.

The Sand Snake Bandits seemed confident that no one would know about this path, so there were no guards in this area.

The summit was silent; presumably, everyone had gone to the front of the mountain to fend off the Lawson Family.

Following Pike Lawson's description, Marshall headed towards the bedroom of the Sand Snake Bandit leader. According to Pike, all the treasures looted over the years by the Sand Snake Bandits were hidden under the bed in their leader's bedroom.

If it weren't for one of the Sand Snake Bandit leader's concubines often disguising herself as a commoner to shop in Ignisport and getting picked up by Pike, no one would have known where the treasures were hidden.

Before long, Marshall arrived at the bandit leader's bedroom and, after lifting the floorboards under the bed, indeed found two large chests and a small chest.

The two large chests were filled with gleaming silver, while the small chest contained only silver notes.

Marshall was overjoyed, and without taking the time to count, he collected all of it into the Supreme Divine Temple, then swiftly dashed back the way he came.

Upon descending the peak, Marshall did not stop and headed towards Ignisport.

This time, regardless of whether the Lawson Family wins or loses, they were destined to end up with nothing.

A few hours later, Marshall returned to the Morgan Family. Upon his return, he greeted Penny Lawson and went back to his room to hurriedly count his treasures in the Supreme Divine Temple.

The count shocked Marshall.

There were as many as one hundred thousand taels in silver notes, and the two big chests contained thirty thousand taels of silver.

In total, there were one hundred and thirty thousand taels.

Clearly, over the years, the Sand Snake Bandits had looted quite a few treasures, which now all benefited Marshall.

"With this silver, I can purchase a large amount of Dragon Tiger Pills to cultivate. Yara Morgan, in a little over a month at the Morgan Clan Assembly, don't expect to take control of the Morgan Family. Also, I will reclaim what rightfully belongs to me."

Marshall clenched his fists tightly, his eyes filled with determination and defiance.

Then, Marshall left the Supreme Divine Temple and headed towards Ignisport's Bazaar.

The Bazaar in Ignisport is the most bustling place, with various shops there.

There are shops for pills, weapons, materials, and so on, with trade caravans coming and going, people in an endless stream.

Along the way, Marshall purchased a black robe and a black hat, wrapping himself completely in them.

This time, he intended to purchase a large quantity of Dragon Tiger Pills and could not allow anyone to discover his identity.

Spirit Herb Hall is the largest store in Ignisport dealing in pills, covering ten acres with four towering stories, immensely spacious.

It is said that Spirit Herb Hall has strong backing, supported by the Mystic Origin Sword Sect.

Upon entering Spirit Herb Hall, a young girl immediately greeted him with a sweet smile, "Esteemed guest, may I ask what you need?"

She had seen many such peculiar customers, so she wasn't the least bit surprised by Marshall's black robe and hat.

In fact, often such peculiar customers bring bigger business.

"I want to purchase Dragon Tiger Pills. What are your prices?"

Marshall deliberately lowered his voice, making it sound much deeper, akin to a middle-aged man in his thirties.

"Sir, Level 1 Lower Grade Dragon Tiger Pills are one hundred silver taels each; Level 1 Mid-grade Dragon Tiger Pills are three hundred silver taels each; Level 1 top-grade Dragon Tiger Pills are one thousand silver taels each. May I know which grade and how many you wish to purchase?"

the shop assistant inquired.

Pills are also divided into nine levels, each level having three grades: high, mid, and low.

"Thirty of the Level 1 Lower Grade and thirty of the Level 1 Mid-grade," Marshall announced.

"Th...this many?" The shop assistant was taken aback, then delighted, her attitude becoming even more respectful. "Sir, your purchase exceeds ten thousand taels of silver, which I cannot authorize myself. Our Hall Master must handle this personally. Please wait while I report to the Hall Master."

After speaking, the shop assistant jogged into the back hall.

Moments later, she returned, "Sir, our Hall Master requests your presence in the back hall for a discussion."

Marshall nodded and followed the shop assistant to the back hall.

Then the shop assistant poured tea for Marshall and withdrew.

The back hall was elegantly furnished. Marshall casually glanced around and sipped some tea.

At this time, a fragrant breeze wafted in, and a young woman around twenty years old entered the room.

The young woman wore a red dress, with a slender figure and incredible beauty.

"Esteemed guest, I am Miranda Murray, the Hall Master of Spirit Herb Hall. I hear you wish to buy thirty Level 1 Lower Grade Dragon Tiger Pills and thirty Level 1 Mid-grade Dragon Tiger Pills?"

Her voice was very pleasant.

Marshall took a deep breath and replied in a suppressed voice, "That's right!"

"For customers spending over ten thousand taels of silver at once, we offer a ten percent discount. The total cost of the pills is twelve thousand silver taels; with the discount, it's ten thousand eight hundred taels,"

Miranda charmingly said, her beautiful eyes scanning over Marshall.

"Thank you, Hall Master Murray." Marshall cupped his fists respectfully.

Subsequently, Miranda clapped her hands, and a maid-like young girl came in carrying two boxes, each containing thirty Dragon Tiger Pills.

Marshall also retrieved ten thousand eight hundred taels in silver notes and handed them to Miranda.

"Hall Master Murray, I take my leave," Marshall said, taking the Dragon Tiger Pills.

"Should you require more pills, you are always welcome at Spirit Herb Hall, with a ten percent discount on everything," Miranda smiled, approaching Marshall with her stunning beauty.

Marshall's heart skipped a beat, and he quickly bid farewell, almost fleeing from the place.

Watching Marshall leave, Miranda slightly pouted her lips, "Interesting!"

"Miss, I think this person, even with his hat on, seems quite ordinary. What's so interesting?" the maid beside her asked curiously.

Miranda chuckled, "Lief, didn't you notice? He was intentionally lowering his voice, pretending to be a middle-aged man, but he's just a teenager. In Ignisport, few teenagers can easily bring out ten thousand taels of silver."

"Furthermore, my bloodline grants me extraordinary perception. I sensed this person's bloodline is peculiar, seemingly harboring immense strength yet incomplete, as if it's growing. Hence, he's intriguing, isn't he?"

"Miss, the more you explain, the more interesting it sounds!" the maid blinked thoughtfully.

"Lief, if this person comes again, be sure to inform me!" Miranda's eyes twinkled with curiosity.
