The Fox Kingdom....
Inside the territory of the Fox Kingdom, the forest remained silent.
Snowball lay on the ground beneath an old tree, his tiny body still covered in dirt. The power he had absorbed from the fragment had reacted violently with the darkness hidden inside it. Although the resulting surge had awakened the scattered Lightpools across the world, it had also left him in a terrible state.
He couldn't even stand on his own. For an entity that had existed for centuries, this was an incredibly humiliating situation. First, he get chased by a fox. Then he nearly get destroyed by a contaminated fragment. And now he's lying beneath a tree like some abandoned stray.
Snowball's tail twitched weakly. What a glorious existence.
He closed his eyes. For a while, he simply remained still, gathering whatever strength he could. Then something changed, a familiar sensation brushed against his consciousness.
