My head is pounding why arm is pulsing with pain. I force myself up and grab the desk of the mortuary office to keep me steady. And so an idea comes to what I must do to move forward. I need to kill that gang. But I failed the first time, and I had five zombies then. Originally, there were forty-nine bodies in this hospital. Now, after the destruction of what I had, there are fifty-four. But take the ones that can't be used without serious work, and what happened last night. Thirty-one. I'll need two for each of the normal people and the mage if we can get into close combat. And for the behemoth four. Therefore, I will need ten in total, and creating ten zombies would take five days.
After three days pass, I notice something, I'm running out of thread for the stitches. So I need to either find more or make more. As I think I remember the body I consumed. The skin is still there, could I turn it into leather, then into lace in which I could use for the zombies.
I take account of the materials I have and grab a bucket of Urine from the catheters that patients had before they died. Grab some toilet water and use a one-to-one mix. I make sure that the skin is clear and clean before putting it in and sealing it for the time being, and waiting for it to cure.
I return to making the zombies and begin once again, and on the night of the fifth day, I have ten zombies. And I'm missing thread to make more. And that will take another day till it's done, then it needs to be stretched. So I'm unable to make some for a while.
I want to lure them into the hospital and ambush them. I've tested that if I force a zombie to hold something using glue belts or stitches, which I can't do the final one right now, that they can use it. because they can control their shoulders, elbows, and wrists, but not their fingers. Maybe because they don't have runes there, there's no way for the mana to animate those parts.
I've found a hallway that would be good for the ambush, and with them using knives I brought from home and from the kitchen, here we should be able to do something. I'll use the four that I want to fight the big guy first and lure them forward. Then the rest will jump out from the rooms surrounding them and attack, making it so they can't support each other. Next, I will use a butcher's knife that they had here for some reason and attack them from behind. If all goes right, I can kill them fast.
I wait for the next night and start to scout around for them, finding them two buildings away from the hospital. And so I throw a liver that I took out from one of the zombies just for this to lure them closer. I hear their screams of wrath and start running towards the hospital. and duck into the first room and move my zombies to the end of the hallway, the others already in their places.
The raiders rush in and see the zombies at the end of the hallway and start rushing to them, but the moment they start, I begin the ambush. The two guys with bats are on the right side, the mage on the left with the giant in the center. I'm behind them on the right, and so after the zombies start to engage, I appear behind the first bat and cleave the back of his skull with the butcher's knife. I move one of the zombies to the giant and one to the other bat. I move with the zombie and head towards the other bat and cut his throat with the knife. But I need to stay focused and not get distracted by this new feeling.
An immense burning pain comes from my left arm just below the elbow as I look down on it, and it's gone. I look to the mage and see that he's killed one of the zombies and kept a distance from the other. I use the zombies to cover my assault and change him, but I grab one of the bats lying on the floor. He hits another but misses the head before I quickly bash him in the brain with the bat. If he's alive, I can learn how he does those spells. But now there's one guy left, the giant. I send the zombies left to occupy him and grab a knife from the fallen zombies. There are six left now. I rush to his back and stab him, but he just tanks it and pushes me away, the knife still in him. I rush to where I dropped the butcher's knife and grab it, almost being hit by his Machete, before hiding behind one of the zombies, then rushing out and burying it into the front of his face. "You motherfu-" I pull out the knife and slam it into his face again and again, his body finally going limp.

I look at my missing arm, then an idea comes to me. I have the zombies drag down the mage, and I grab the cleaver and, with a single heavy movement, I sever his left arm. And I etch the rune onto it and use the last of my stitches to attach it where I lost mine. Once again, it does nothing just lying there, and like the zombie, when I command it to move, it does, but sporadically. But I'm not done. With the butcher's knife, I remove all his limbs but his right arm. I feel once again what I felt when I killed them. But what?
