"I didn't know that." Alicia suddenly realized that she indeed knew little about Amir. He rarely talked about his family, and they only met at his restaurant back in New Jersey. This was the first time he was inviting her to his place.
"I have two siblings. They are working in California. My father is currently in India. He has a company there, and has refused to relocate. He and my mother only meet five times a year. I'm the last of their children and the least ambitious one."
"Least ambitious one? I think you are very ambitious. You are only 31, but you already have a restaurant that's doing very well. You make your own money, without relying on your family. Amir, you are a great person to me."
Amir smiled. "Thank you for telling me this."
"You shouldn't allow anyone to think less of you. If Luigi didn't believe in your vision, he wouldn't have invested in you, right? And over the years, you've achieved greatness with your business. You have so many awards to your name."
