Chapter 177 - Bryan's Strengths

"Are you sure those two were Brotherhood assassins?" Bryan asked Jean-Claude, crouching down to examine the bodies in the morgue.

Since Jill had taken care of the Albaria Gang, Jean-Claude no longer needed to cover for them. The two old friends still maintained a superficial brotherhood.

Bryan had already calculated all the steps on the plane. He should first go to a certain place to collect clues. It would be best if he could find the gang's spotter at the airport, and then he could follow the trail to their lair.

But as soon as he got off the plane, he received a call from his ex-wife. The human trafficking ring had been destroyed by the police, and all the kidnapped girls had been rescued.

Bryan immediately went to the hospital and found Amanda, who was recovering. He learned the truth from her.

It wasn't the police who had destroyed the human trafficking ring, but two masked people who had killed all the criminals. But his daughter had been taken away by those two people!

For this, Bryan had to seek help from his old friend, Jean-Claude, because regardless of the criminals' corpses or the crime scene, they had all been taken over by the Paris police, and he couldn't get close.

"This is the information the Investigation Department gathered!" Jean-Claude handed a police investigation report to Bryan.

The report clearly detailed the angle of the gunshot wounds on the bodies, as well as the time they were shot.

"Five people, five completely different angles, the same gun, it really is an arc trajectory!" Bryan frowned. The Brotherhood, as the top dogs in the dark world, had always been notorious. He really couldn't understand why they would travel all the way to Paris to kill someone.

Especially since they let all the other girls go, but kept his daughter. What was the meaning of this?

He carefully considered his actions. It didn't seem like he had any beef with those lunatics!

"According to the witnesses' statements, the woman with the fox mask can be basically identified as Fire Fox, the Brotherhood's top assassin, and an international S-class wanted criminal. However, there isn't enough information on the person with the tiger mask!" Jean-Claude thought for a moment and said to Bryan.

"Have you sabotaged the Brotherhood's plans before? It's said that the Brotherhood's assassins usually work alone. But this time, they came with two of them. It seems they're determined to get you!"

Without a conflict of interest, Jean-Claude still wanted to persuade Bryan a little. After all, it would be hard to watch him die without doing anything, wouldn't it?

Even though Bryan used to be a top international agent, Jean-Claude thought Bryan's chances of surviving against the Brotherhood's crazies, especially facing a two-on-one situation, were incredibly slim.

"No, if there's any grudge to be had, I should be the one holding it!" Bryan shook his head. If he really wanted to talk about entanglements with the Brotherhood, it went back over twenty years. He was tasked with protecting a target who was killed in a bizarre manner.

Bryan was puzzled at the time because, judging from the enemy's position, they couldn't even see the victim, let alone attack!

He was still a hot-blooded rookie then, wanting to catch the enemy. Later, an old-timer enlightened him, and he learned that there was a group of lunatics in the world who could fire curved trajectories!

That case was eventually dropped because no law enforcement officer wanted to touch such a group of crazies!

Facing a group of elusive assassins, a group that was said to have a thousand-year-old heritage, unless one had the courage of the Mongols sweeping across the world, anyone would be inherently fearful.

"According to the information, the Brotherhood's last mission in Paris was fourteen years ago. Why are they here this time?" Jean-Claude was also puzzled. Although he couldn't afford to offend those crazies, he was still the Deputy Director of the Police Bureau. If they made too much trouble in Paris, he would be implicated. Of course, even if he were disciplined, he absolutely didn't want to have any direct conflict with those lunatics; his two children were still terrified!

"I wish I knew!" Bryan gave a wry smile. His daughter had just escaped one den of wolves and fallen into another. It seemed that going out was absolutely unsuitable.

However, the only good thing is that the Brotherhood, although they're crazy, are said to have rules. If his daughter fell into their hands, it's definitely better than falling into the hands of a human trafficking ring, at least temporarily.

In Amanda's ward, there were still two girls rescued from a human trafficking ring's lair. They were both emaciated, their arms covered in needle marks. Even if they could be saved, their lives would essentially be ruined.

"There was another disturbance on Paradise Street that night?" Bryan flipped through the files, quickly finding a point of suspicion.

"It was a fight between two guys who had too much to drink, which later led to a group brawl. However, there were no casualties, so it's not a big deal!"

Paradise Street is a place for the flesh trade. Most customers come here for fun after drinking, so fights are extremely common!

"I want to see the suspects in this brawl," Bryan said to Jean-Claude, closing the file.

"They're still in the interrogation room, but it's almost been twenty-four hours, and we'll have to let them go soon!"

Jean-Claude looked at his watch and said.

"Not so fast, let me ask a few questions first," Bryan said, his voice firm.

"You think those two drunks are trouble?" Jean-Claude asked curiously, hearing Bryan's strong tone.

He knew his old friend's abilities. If it was hand-to-hand combat or marksmanship, the guy was only at the level of an ordinary ace agent. While that might seem like invincibility to normal people, any major country could pull out a dozen of those types from their ranks.

But the reason Bryan could become an ace in the US Security Bureau was his intelligence analysis skills!

Bryan had a preternatural intuition for all kinds of information; basically, if there was even a shred of a clue, he could immediately find a lead.

"I don't know, let me see them first!"

"Alright, I'll make a call and have them detain those guys!" Jean-Claude immediately started fishing for his phone.

Although Jean-Claude absolutely wouldn't dare to go head-to-head with the Brotherhood, he was, after all, the deputy director of Paris, the second in command in the police system. They had stormed into his home and threatened his wife and children with guns. He was bound to be a bit angry.

It's not like I'm directly fighting the Brotherhood right now anyway. If Bryan can find some clues, it's not really my problem, is it?
