Amethysts POV
As soon as Cliff puts his hand over my mouth to muffle my screams and starts pulling me to a dark corner I start to panic.
'HELP ME!' I scream through the mind link to my pack members that may be here. A pack link only reaches so far so if there's no one from the pack at prom tonight I may be screwed but it's my only chance.
'What's going on?'
'Who needs help'
'Where?'
'Does anyone recognize that voice?'
A few voices come through the link at once.
'Cliff, my ex he has me.' I rush out, 'I don't know what his plan is, he's keeping a hand on my mouth so I can't scream. Please help, this is Amethyst Grey, we are by the…' I feel a prick in my arm and everything goes black.
Cliff's POV
I notice Amy is trying to mind link, I don't know how many people from her pack might actually be here but I can't risk anyone finding us. Especially since we are going to force our mark on her. Luckily I came prepared with a little wolfsbane tranquilizer. It won't knock her out for long, just long enough for me to mark her and get her out of here. Once I do that I will bring her to the hotel I rented and mate with her completing the bond. I would much rather do all this with her willingly but since she's being so stubborn about my mistake I guess this is the only way. I know she will be angry with us once she wakes up.
'She'll forgive us eventually.' Outlaw states. 'Summer will too. Once they realize we will never hurt them again and why we had to take drastic measures, they will forgive us.'
'I sure hope so. Let's do this and get out of here.'
I start nuzzling into Amy's neck and even though she's not fully conscious her body responds. I start kissing and licking and hear a small whimper come out of her. I find that sweet spot, the one made for a mate's mark and Outlaw lets his canines come out, he sinks them in and Amy screams into my palm then goes slack. We seal our bite with a long lick, then I kiss it and whisper. "I'm sorry it had to be this way but one day you will understand." I then pick her up bridal style and start walking to my car. I had already informed my date that I would leave early so she made sure her true date would drive separately so they could leave together.
As I pull out my keys and unlock my car a hand grabs my shoulder and spins me around.
"What the fuck do you think you are doing!" Rhett screams at me.
"Taking my mate home. What's it to you!" I yell back.
"Like hell you are! You guys broke up remember and she is MY date tonight." He emphasizes the "my" and causes Outlaw to growl at him.
A few other people came rushing up, I can tell they're wolves. 'Shit, her mind link must have gone through.'
"Put her down Cliff, you don't want to cause a scene here." Rhett exclaims.
"No, she's my mate and she's coming with me."
"No she's not." One of the other guys say from my right.
"Put her down or give her to me" another guy to my left says. They are surrounding us.
"Take your filthy hands off my best friend!" Kyra, Amy's best friend screams at me.
'Well shit, it looks like our plan isn't going to work.' I mumble to my wolf.
'We can take them.'
'That's not the point, we were supposed to leave without anyone noticing. If they report us for forcibly making her the council could have our heads.' I hiss. Outlaw just grunts and retreats to the back of my mind.
Growling "Fine, you guys can take care of her. I was only trying to help her, she is still my mate."
"Yeah right." Rhett snorts
"She's not your mate anymore." Kyra states. "I catch you near her again I will report you to the council myself." She runs up to me grabs Amy from me and marches away the other wolves following behind. Rhett just stands there glaring at me until I get in my car and drive off. Well that plan didn't work.
Rhett's POV
I get back to our table from grabbing drinks and notice Amethyst still isn't back yet. The drink line was kinda long so I expected her back by now. I decided to go ask her friend Kyra if she had seen her. Just as I finished asking the question a guy I didn't know walks up to Kyra.
"Hey, you're Amethyst Grey's friend right?" He asks and I suppress a growl, I will be damned if another wolf tries to make a move on her. I have been after her for so long. However what he says next has me sprinting towards the parking lot.
"I just got a weird mind link, she said something about Cliff has her."
I didn't even realize that that wolf, Kyra and a few other wolves were following behind me. I guess I'm thankful though. It definitely would have ended in a fight between Cliff and me if he didn't let her go. Luckily with the amount of wolves that came out Cliff realized he wouldn't stand a chance and gave Amethyst to Kyra without a fight. I watched him leave then followed everyone back in. Kyra had placed Amethyst's on a couch in the lobby and the other guys asked if we needed anything else and just left once we said we were good.
Once they were gone Kyra started looking over Amethyst's body then took a sharp intake of breath and balled her fists.
"I'm going to kill him." She snarled and stood up. Then I glanced at what she was talking about and balled my fists, I was ready to go after the prick but Kyra said something that made me think it could wait."
"We need to get her to a pack hospital, make sure this won't be permanent. If he forced a mate bond on her, I won't wait for the council to come after him I will do it myself!
"Get in line! I may be a bastard at times but I would never force a marking and mating. That goes against one of our biggest laws. Bonding someone against their will, it's unforgivable." I snarled back.
