CASSANDRA'S POV
I heard him lock the door behind me, he's even giving me attitude in my own home. I smiled and went back to bed.
"Can I come in Cassie?", I heard my nanny say.
"Yes Aunty, please you can", I replied.
She entered the room and as usual, she brought me a glass of milk.
"I see you have a guest, who's he?", she asked sitting on my bed.
"The guy I told you about, Romeo", she laughed at what I said, maybe how I said it.
"Why are you whispering?", she asked still laughing.
"I don't want him to hear us talking about him", I responded.
"Oh dear! You talk about him all the time", she replied.
"Oh my God! Go away please, we'll talk more when he isn't in this house",I said to her.
"Okay fine, fine", she said and left.
I fell on my bed after she had left, it would be so embarrassing if Xander heard our conversation.
A loud noise woke me up from my sleep, I checked the time and it was 1am. I rushed outside and the sound was coming from Xander's room.
I tried opening the door but it was locked, I run downstairs to my parents room and grabbed the extra key. I opened the door and entered.
He was still asleep, but he was talking. It was more like he was having a nightmare. I sat beside him and held his hands.
"Wake up Xander, it's just a nightmare, wake up", I said teary.
"I hate you, I hate you!!", he said angrily, still in his sleep.
"You hate who?", I asked out of curiosity.
"My dad and Cassandra, they destroyed my mom and I", he said crying.
What is he even saying, how did I destroy him?
"Wake up Xander, please wake up", I said shaking him.
He woke up suddenly and I could tell he was surprised to see me.
"Relax Xander, it was just a nightmare, calm down", I said to him.
"Why are you here?", he asked angrily.
"I heard you screaming, I was worried", I responded.
"Okay, I'm fine now you can leave", he said.
I opened the door to leave but turned to look at him.
"You mentioned Cassandra, were you referring to me?", I asked him.
"Please get out", he said going back to bed.
"No, I can't leave. What if you have another nightmare?", I said sitting on the bed.
"Whatever", he said covering himself with the blanket.
When I woke up, I was in his arms, on the bed! I smiled broadly. I closed my eyes again pretending to be asleep.
"Oh my God Cassie, wake up", he yelled angrily.
I woke up immediately, I pretended to be surprised.
"You orchestrated this didn't you?", he asked still angry.
I let out a faint laughter, he looked so good in the morning. I stopped smiling when he held me angrily.
"Why are you smiling, nothing happened between us", he said.
"We cuddled", I said pulling away from him.
He grabbed the pillow and threw it at me. I grabbed one too and threw it at him.
"I'm not playing games with you Cassie, this is all your fault", he said throwing another pillow.
I burst out into laughter, he was so irritated. I stretched my hands to throw another pillow when he run to hold my hands.
"Enough, get out", he said opening the door.
I stepped out and before I could say anything he shut the door and locked it. I heard him let out a big sigh. I chuckled and went to my room.
I almost got a heart attack when I saw my face in the mirror. My hair was so messed up, I smelled my breath and I almost collapsed.
"This is so embarrassing!", I yelled angrily.
ROMEO'S POV
"Wake up Romeo, it's morning", Lucille said tapping me.
"Is he back?", I asked and she shook her head.
Has he been kidnapped by his dad? We've been looking for him since yesternight but he's no where to be found.
"We will find him, don't worry", I said to his mom.
She was so worried, she called us after 9:30pm saying Xander was missing. I rushed here as quickly as possible.
We called him several times but his phone was switched off, what could've happened to him.
XANDER'S POV
"Come down for breakfast when you're done X", Cassie said standing behind the door.
I thought I asked her not to call me X again, and who told her I'm staying for breakfast.
"I won't stay for breakfast, I have to get home now. My mom would be so worried", I said opening the door.
"Oh my goodness! Where's your shirt?",she said covering her eyes.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't know you'd be bothered", I said grabbing my shirt.
"Join us for breakfast, that's the only way I'd accept your apology", she said seriously.
Is she trying to blackmail me right now? I really don't care if she forgives me or not. Why is she even making a big deal out of this?
"Breakfast would be served in ten minutes, my nanny wants you to join us. Please if not for me then.."
"Fine whatever, I'll be there", I interrupted her.
She smiled and walked out. I took a cold bath and went downstairs.
"My nanny would join us shortly, sit here", Cassie said pointing to an empty sit beside her.
Her nanny joined later and we began to eat, her nanny was very likable, so friendly.
"Cassie talks about you all the time", she said looking at me.
Why am I not surprised, I looked at Cassie and I could tell she was embarrassed. She gets embarrassed so quickly.
"Auntie, we talked about this", she said almost in tears.
I couldn't hold back my laughter, she behaved like a baby.
"What's funny?", she asked looking at me.
"Nothing, I just remembered the look on your face this morning. Your breath smelled so bad", I said before taking a sip of water.
"This is bullying, you're a bully Xander. Always being mean", she responded.
"I've been telling you to brush your teeth first thing in the morning. Your morning breath is so bad", her nanny added.
"Xander I think you're done, let's go, I'll drop you off", she said dragging me from the chair.
"Nice meeting you auntie", I said to her nanny.
"Nice meeting you too, you can come visit frequently", she replied.
"Let's go Xander", Cassie said dragging me outside.
"Okay fine, I'll walk on my own, let's go", I said making way to her car.
"How did you know that's my car?", she asked looking surprised.
"I see you almost everyday, you have six cars", I said and immediately regretted it.
"You've been watching me", she said sounding proud.
"Don't over react, it means nothing. Let's go", I said entering the car.
When we got to my house, I saw Lucille and Romeos car parked outside.
"There he is", I heard my mom yell.
She hugged me so tight, I could tell she was so worried. Maybe this would make her agree to the divorce.
"Where have you been?", Romeo asked.
"He spent the night at my home", Cassie said.
I looked at her and shook my head, this girl gosh!
"Wait what?", they all said in unison.
"It's a long story, I'll tell you all about it, but not now. I want to sleep", I said to them.
"He was being chased by three angry men, I helped him, that's how he ended in my home", Cassie said.
"I think you should leave now Cassie, thank you so much for your help", I said and her smile faded.
"Okay, call me if you need anything", she responded.
"Thank you so much Cassandra, I owe you", my mom said hugging her.
"No you don't, Xander is my friend, I'll always help him out", she said looking at me.
"Let me walk you to your car", I said holding her hands.
"See you tomorrow", she said before entering her car.
Oh my lord, this girl can talk! And why did she say tomorrow, I hope she's not planning on coming here tomorrow.
When I walked back inside the house, I noticed everyone was looking at me. I already knew what it was about.
"She was there when everything was happening, I had no choice than to ask her for help", I said before sitting down.
"I thought you hated her", my mom asked surprised.
"I don't hate her, she just reminds me of someone I hate so much", I responded.
"You should've called, we were so worried", Romeo said angrily.
"I'm sorry about that, thanks for being with my mom", I replied.
They left after some time so I went to sleep, I couldn't sleep well last night because of the nightmare.
When I fell on my bed, I suddenly remembered how I woke up this morning. Her head was on my chest, and my arms were around her.Jeesh!!
I also remembered she asked about Cassandra, I hope I didn't say anything while I was asleep.
I run my hands through my hair and bit my lower lips. Why am I even bothered?
