"The wretcheds are calling for war, war I say!?" Scholar Kravitz has always been so interested in eliminating the wretched souls from this world. If he wasn't teaching lighters philosophy in the academy then he would be busy battling with history books searching for ways to get rid of the wretched.
"A new female wretched soul has just discovered the power she holds. The wretched believes that she might be their new leader. Last night, she killed an ordinary human" He adjusts his round eye glasses that made his small face overly noticeable. Rex raises his hands to signify that he he has a question. Scholar kravitz orders him to ask his question.
"Why can't we attack this supposedly new leader? I believe we can" Rex says with his shoulders raised a little too high, a usual behavior of Rex being his proud self.
"Patience boy, things should be done orderly" Ivy says from her front row seat.
"Don't you dare call me boy again" Ivy laughs cheepishly before Scholar kravitz calls the class to order.
"We believe the child of the prophesy sits in this class with us. But who it is specifically we can't say. Once we become certain on who the child of the prophesy is, we shall guide the child to achieving his potential and begin our war against the Wretched souls" Scholar Kravitz said so hopefully. He is the youngest scholar in academy, a crush to many of the lighters.
"How do you plan to know who this child of the prophesy is?" A curious Sean asks. Sean is one of the most smartest lighters, he ranked third in the latest Assessment. Sean never hides his admiration for Ivy but she doesn't seem interested in him, it's obvious she likes the attention he gives to her because of his looks.
" The members of the tiers wants to start a special class for the top ten students of the latest ranking but I just got an idea" His eyes brightened up like the bulb in his head suddenly glowed. He rushed out of the class promising to come back in a minute. Although it took him almost ten minutes before he returned. Scholar Kravitz returned back with a big book, a book so big he used both of his hands to carry it.
"Before you is the Liber potentia. One must have great potential to be able to open this book. I was able to open this book at the age of 24, and I still hold the record of the youngest person to open the Liber Potentia" The class became filled with murmuring, with some boasting of being able to open the book.
"Quiet!" Scholar Kravitz ordered. The class became silent immediately.
"You will all take turns in opening the book. People who opens the book successfully will be rewarded and this also shows the level of your power" scholar Kravitz said.
Ivy was the first to Open the book, it wasn't surprising but she had struggled to open the book, it took her grinding her teeths together, screaming and even a tear on her fingers to open the books. Rex was the second to open the book, you could see how much he struggled to open the book because his veins looked as if they were about to pop out from his skin and his eyes became red and tears filled. Sean was the third to open the book, It took him bleeding from his nostrils to open the book. Ruffy was the fourth to open the book, she used so much of her strength that she coughed blood while opening the book.
I sat at the last seat, when I got in front of the class, many Lighters laughed before being hushed by Scholar Kravitz. The laughter was a mockery of me, it motivated me to open the book. I thought opening the book would be like me trying to flip a rock but I opened the book like every other book.
