9 Humiliation
"Lady, gentlemen of all races are welcome to the coliseum"
A humanoid mole screamed into an arcane device that amplified sound.
"For those who have just joined us, I regret to inform you that you have already lost five incredible battles, but don't worry because the best is yet to come."
The audience in the stands went wild, people of different races took their seats, looking around the area with anticipation.
There was what could be called the city's upper middle class occupying the prominent seats in the audience.
Most were merchants, some adventurers , merchants, mercenaries and owners of some important structures in the city could be seen.
Some people were in some rooms with a direct view of the arena; the real bigwigs of the city occupied these rooms.
The man grabbed his ear where a kind of earring that served as communication was, he was surprised for a moment then smiled and shouted even louder.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please stand and welcome our dear Madame Tamara Voroboyova."
In one of the sessions , even those in the VIP rooms stood up and applauded with fervor in their eyes.
Madame Tamara Voroboyova walked gracefully with her hands waving to everyone with a beautiful smile adorning her face, she went to the largest room and sat down accompanied by two maids.
"Very well, now that we have been graced with the presence of our madam, please take your seats."
tobera man was in a flying device that took him across the entire arena field as he spoke and the crowd followed him with their eyes.
"Once again I would like to welcome everyone present, especially our beautiful madam."
When the applause rang out and gradually died down, the mole man continued with his words.
"The battle that follows is our beloved lancer, Alex, the previously retired fighter is back tonight to reclaim his place, can he do it?"
" please give a round of applause for our iron tail lancer"
The crowd went wild when Alex entered the arena holding a spear, he walked around making some movements with his spear, uncovering the audience,
"As opponents we have five Lizardmen, that's right, our Iron Tail Lancer will face the five Lizardmen simultaneously"
The audience once again broke out into a frenzied buzz, they began to comment among themselves, strategically the mole man let people speak and the entire stands entered into conversation.
The five lizardmen entered the arena at once, exuding hostility and ferocity, their eyes with vertical pupils stared at Alex as if they were looking at prey.
mole man moved from where he was and shouted passionately into the sound amplifying device.
"Ladies and gentlemen, place your bets. Who do you think will emerge victorious in this battle? The Iron Tail Spearman? Or will it be the five lizardmen?"
He stopped for a bit and continued
"I've already placed my bet, and you? what are you waiting for?"
mole man signaled for the referee in the arena to begin the battle.
As soon as the bell rang, the lizardmen charged at Alex at the same time.
Seeing his opponents coming towards him, Alex gripped his spear tightly and decided to counterattack. For him, the best defense was attack, and even if he had to face the five at once, he wasn't afraid.
The five lizardmen use different types of weapons, some used swords, two in fact, one used a wooden club and two more used spears just like Alex .
The one in front struck a blow that Alex easily dodged, he simply intercepted the attack by spinning his spear, causing the force used by the lizard man to have another direction.
In another precise move Alex attacked two opponents at once, as they attacked together it was easy to repel their attacks, when one passed by him Alex stuck the tip of the spear into the ground and launched himself into the air.
In mid-air he spun, swung his spear and violently struck the lizard man who was holding a wooden club, his hard scales absorbed some of the impact, but he still suffered damage and a mouthful of blood was spilled.
Seeing that their companion was hit, the others became angry and attacked fiercely, the iron tails were known for their mobility, superhuman strength and good resistance.
The lizard man with the sword got close enough to hit Alex 's neck , but he didn't notice Alex's quick spear that aimed at his groin.
Even though he moved in time to avoid the worst, his legs were still injured.
Faced with Alex's artistic performance, the crowd went wild and began to get beaten up.
Alex moved with even more vigor in the face of the commotion in the stands, he dropped the spear to the ground again and hit a lizard man with his feet right in the face.
In the next move, to the amusement of the audience, he rolled his spear between his legs on the ground and when he got up, two lizard men were shot in the groin.
Even the audience felt pain for the lizardmen, after all most of them were men and when they imagined that they had been the ones to suffer such blows, they sighed.
Alex concentrated, to everyone's surprise, he held the spear as if he were holding a sword, he attacked with force, cutting through the wind, the force was so great that two of the lizard men were knocked out with just one blow.
The remaining two trembled in fear as Alex looked at them with an evil smile.
Alex didn't let his opponents regain their courage, he took advantage of their tremendous fear to end the battle as quickly as possible.
And with a few more swings of his spear, the result was clear: the lizardmen were defeated one after the other without any of them posing any danger to the iron tail.
"We have a winner, my friends, our dear lancer was victorious in this battle, who would have thought"
mole's voice came out loud and clear, exploding the ears of many.
"What a battle my friends"
The crowd broke into loud applause, those who had bet on Alex's victory, even though few, were quite happy shouting the name of the young iron tail.
"Do you want more battles?"
The mole asked, inciting the stands to all start shouting in one voice.
"We want more, more, more"
"Are you sure? Can you still bet?"
" yes , yes, yes"
" Gentlemen , prepare yourselves, battle is approaching."
The mole was silent to create tension, meanwhile the lizard men were collected from the arena,
"For the next battle we will have a young human, the fearless boy, the relentless Redhead"
Rodion entered the arena to the sound of his name, the audience applauded loudly.
" As an opponent for young Rodion we have a novice adventurer"
The Mole paused for a moment before continuing in his loud voice.
" as an opponent we have the adventurous troll "
The crowd fell silent before erupting into loud cheers.
" place your bets"
