"I do not wish to rekindle any kind of relationship with Keisha." He drawled gravelly, his voice sounding like the sharp sound of metal scraping against sandpaper, and disbelievingly, I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, right!" I snorted sarcastically, ignoring the way his gaze lowered as if hurt by my words.
For the first time, I didn't care that my words would sting. I didn't care that his face was growing paler and paler with each passing second. I didn't care about anything. I was just tired of being played with and looked down on like I was nothing more than a pretty face with sharp brains.
My eyes stung with tears, but they weren't of pain. They were tears of anger… of betrayal… of hurt.
