"W-What are you-" Krillin's words were cut off as the beam of Ki cut through his head, piercing his brain, and killing him instantly.
"K-KRILLIN!" Goku screamed, staring with wide, horrified eyes as his best friend slumped over, dead, as a pool of blood formed around his head. I vanished again before he could say more, appearing behind Chiaotzu as my hand grabbed his face. In an instant and a flash of light, he was sent to the afterlife.
"W-What are you doing?!" I heard Bulma shout behind me, her voice panicked, but I didn't even spare her a glance. She wouldn't understand, and she didn't need to right now.
"CHIAOTZU! YOU BAS-"
Instead, I vanished again, appearing behind Tien. The three-eyed man spun around, his body tensing to defend himself as he screamed, but I made it quick and painless. A bullet of Ki pierced right through his third eye - destroying his brain and killing him instantly.
In this moment, I felt strangely comfortable in my new body. More comfortable than I had felt since I arrived in this world. It was almost as if Frieza was meant to kill - as if that were his purpose in this world.
I wrinkled my nose, pushing the thought away. I was far kinder and smarter than Frieza had been, and billions of lives across the universe were spared as a result of my influence on my empire. Even right now, I felt a bit guilty killing the Z-Fighters - characters I had once cheered for through a screen.
I would say I was much better than Frieza, even if the Z-Fighters wouldn't feel the same way.
But it was necessary. I'd send them to get their training from King Kai, hopefully force Goku to become a Super Saiyan right now, and accelerate the timeline of this world. By the time someone like Cell or Buu came around, they'd be nothing more than a joke, much less a world-ending threat.
And, most importantly, when Beerus finally awoke, he wouldn't be able to push around me nor the Z-Fighters. It'd be an uphill battle to get them to forgive me for this, as my 'keep them not overly pissed at me' plan had to alter a bit, but this was too good a chance to pass up on.
I had been wracking my brain for ways to power up the Z-Fighters ahead of schedule already, but most of my thoughts just ended up leading back to Zenkai Boosts - the most overpowered way to gain power as a Saiyan, but also something I couldn't really exploit. If I almost-murdered Goku, then fed him a Senzu Bean, and repeated a bunch of times, I'd definitely see results - but also make an enemy out of the man I was super-powering, who would then probably just kill me.
But, while this wasn't a long-term power-gaining method for them, it was still a step up. It was a way to boost them up some, but not enough to fuck over my personal plans. It was the perfect opportunity.
And, I figured that they'd get over it. It might take them a few years, but I had decades to work with until Beerus woke up, so it wasn't that concerning. Goku was pretty good at befriending his enemies and letting bygones be bygones, as he had even become somewhat friendly with Frieza in Super. Granted, that Frieza had just killed Krillin in front of him, and not all of his friends, as well as his son, so I might have to put in some extra work to get there.
But, once again, I had decades to figure that out - right now, I'll focus on speeding up the growth rate in this timeline.
"T-Tien! Frieza, you bastard!" Goku roared at me, launching forward with a cocked past fist despite his exhausted body, but I vanished before it hit me and appeared behind Piccolo.
Hey, at least he said my name right this time!
"Nothing personal," I smirked as Piccolo's eyes went wide, and his brain was blown through a second later. His body flopped over in a pool of blood, joining Krillin and Tien as corpses.
"W-Why?! Why are you doing this?!" Goku growled, lunging at me again as his injured body flared up with the Kaio-Ken x4, but I stepped to the side as I dodged effortlessly.
"Because I can," I said simply, smirking cruelly as I tried to piss off the Saiyan even more, "When you're strong, you can do whatever you want. If you want to blame anyone, blame your own weakness."
It was certainly harsh, but I needed to piss Goku off as much as possible. If I couldn't force him into instinctually becoming a Super Saiyan, the gains that I'd get from doing this would decrease greatly. So, as I disappeared again and dodged another enraged, but exhausted punch and appeared behind Gohan, I needed to rub it in a bit.
"This is your son, isn't it?" I asked casually, already knowing the answer as I placed my hand on Gohan's head and stared down Goku.
"S-Stop! Frieza…" Goku trailed off, his eyes wide as his hands clenched into fists at his side, "Don't… don't you dare…"
"D-Dad…" Gohan trailed off, his eyes wide as he glanced up at my figure towering over him, casting a shadow onto his smaller frame.
I genuinely felt my gut twist as I was doing some supervillain-ass shit right now, but I steeled myself, not letting the smirk fall off my face. Goku hadn't been pushed into transforming from the rest of the Z-Fighters' deaths, which meant I needed to push him further. I needed to stab the nail into the coffin.
So, my palm glowed bright with Ki, and Gohan was sent on a one-way trip to King Kai's planet. I silently reminded myself that he'd just be wished back in a year from now, and that it was for the best, as I shoved away any guilt building up inside of me.
"GOHAN!" Goku screamed, his eyes wide as he took a step forward, his eyes filled with anger and disbelief.
That should've been enough, right? Or did he want me to kill Roshi, too, who was notably cowering far to the side of me and Goku as he stayed out of the fight.
"L-Lord Frieza?" Vegeta finally spoke as well, staring up with shock as I dismantled the Z-Fighters effortlessly, his expression confused.
But right now was about a different Saiyan. As Goku stared at me, his eyes wide, his body tensed, and his broken hand starting to twitch, I knew what was coming.
The air changed. Not just metaphorically - literally. An intense tension filled the rocky wasteland area, and the ground started to shake. Various pebbles and broken chunks of rock from the fight started to shift, floating inches off the ground as they ascended.
A weight pressed down across the battlefield, thick and suffocating as even I could feel it. It wasn't enough to make me worried, much less make me hunch over, but it was pressure nonetheless. And, as Vegeta gasped painfully, I could tell he was having a much harder time than I was.
The sky, once cloudless and blue, began to swirl with pitch-dark storm clouds. Rain didn't come, but nature didn't seem to care as lightning cracked violently overhead, painting the battlefield in brief flashes of bright light, even as it was midday.
Truly, this was a sight to see. It was happening. Goku's arms trembled at his sides, his head lowered, a shadow hanging over his face, just as I remembered happening on Namek. The dust and rocks around his feet lifted, swirling upward as the ground began to tremble violently under his feet, starting to feel like an earthquake.
The pebbles and rocks finally took flight, floating from just a few inches above the ground fully into the air, and covering the battlefield in floating obstacles. The sheer pressure radiating from Goku was too much for the planet to handle, and the ground started to crack lightly.
To the side, still lying flat, Vegeta flinched, sweat rolling down his forehead as his eyes were wide, "K-Kakarot is… he's becoming…"
"Ngh… Errgh… Rag… G-Gohan…" Goku's voice cracked, his voice being broken and coated in strange, almost pained grunts. Then, his aura snapped to life - no longer being the bright red of the Kaio-Ken technique, but something much stronger.
Golden sparks of energy began to crackle around him, jolts of light arcing out in spurts. His hands clenched tighter, his fingers digging into his palms as blood dripped to the ground and coated the floor in red.
And then, he screamed. He screamed so fuckin' loud that I felt like my ears were about to pop, and I silently wondered if Buu had eardrums. If he did, and he had to experience this sound for numerous minutes against Super Saiyan 3 Goku, then I truly pitied the fat pink marshmallow man.
It was a roar of pure rage, which echoed far throughout the rocky Gizard Wasteland, and I winced lightly. Not from the power building up around Goku, but just because my ears hurt from the noise. Truly, if Goku added a 'scream in his opponent's face mid-fight' move to his repertoire, he'd see a lot of benefits, because damn could he scream!
As he roared in anger, the ground shattered beneath him, exploding outward in a crater. Wind bursts shot outward, slamming far beyond the wasteland as trees far away were uprooted, and nearby, massive chunks of earth were torn from the floor and lifted into the air. I couldn't see it, but all around the world right now, the effects of this transformation were being felt.
Houses shook as if there was an earthquake, rivers splashed wildly as water flooded onto land, clouds swirling around in random patterns, and screams of terror came from the mouths of Earthlings. Deep within the Earth, tectonic plates shifted, tsunamis formed, and to all the Earthlings, today would be considered a very dark day. Not because the Saiyans arrived, but instead, because the Earth itself, for one singular day, seemed intent on destroying humanity. Hopefully, there was some type of insurance in this world, because I was pretty sure the homeless population was about to skyrocket.
Hey, I know I just killed all his friends in cold blood, but at least I wasn't destroying homes! If you think about it, Goku's really the bad guy here, right? If you think really hard, and jump through a couple hoops, I was the good guy!
His hair began to spike upward, twitching unnaturally as the ever spikey and unchanged hairdo shifted. Gold light overtook the usual black as his hair spiked up, slowly flashing back and forth between the two colors, before finally it solidified on the golden color. His eyes were filled with rage as he stared upward, screaming out to the heavens, as his usual kind gaze vanished.
A shockwave burst out around him as the partially-white aura of Ki surrounding him started to glow, and I had to raise my arm to block it - not because it felt like more than a light breeze to me, but because I had to quickly step in front of Bulma and keep her from being blown away. That was a genuine concern, as the chair I had been sitting in, and even the lifeless bodies of the Z-Fighters, were being thrown around wildly.
Yikes, dying and then having your body tossed around a wasteland by your friend only a few minutes later? Even I felt a bit bad for the Z-Fighters now.
Bulma was definitely unhappy about what I'd just done, but she seemed to value her life over that as she clutched onto me, letting me grab her waist to hold her in place against the wild storm forming. Finally, after another few bursts of wind and a lot more screaming, the dust settled.
It ended up taking a lot longer than I imagined, but Goku had become a Super Saiyan. Seriously, if past-Frieza wasn't so stupid, he could've just killed Goku mid-transformation - this bastard was screaming for multiple minutes straight!
But I couldn't help but admit that he looked badass as he did it. He stood there now, his spikey hair pure-golden, and his eyes piercing into me like daggers. Just as soon as the rage-induced wave of power had come, it had also left - Goku stood there now, his breathing even, his eyes looking more angry than rage-filled, and the golden aura stabilizing around him. He was silent for a moment, just staring me down calmly.
Talk about aura farming, huh?
"You… Frieza…" He said softly, his tone sounding calm, yet filled with conviction. His next words weren't a threat - they were a promise. Was he about to say the line?
"You're going to pay for that!"
Well, they might've been a promise if he said something else - because I definitely wasn't going to pay for that. In fact, I'd do the opposite, as the Z-Fighters would grow from their deaths, and Goku would grow from his transformation. I would only benefit from this.
But Goku didn't know that, so I wouldn't crush his badass moment. Instead, I just smirked widely, staring him down as I casually placed the scouter on my face again.
Just above two million. The Super Saiyan multiplier was still just that - a multiplier. He was far weaker than he had been on Namek during his original transformation, and as a result, wasn't overly impressive here. But, if I held back super-hard, and only tapped him around gently?
I might be able to get a bit of sparring in. Especially if he got a Zenkai Boost from this bean!
"Eat the bean, Kakarot," I hummed, smirking wider as Goku stared at me with blood dripping down his face, "Then, I'll show you why you're a low-class Saiyan, and I'm the ruler of the universe."
Even with Goku's transformation, he wasn't fighting to win here - he was fighting to survive.
And, to entertain me.
