Lucas's POV:
I gather my belongings quietly, placing the last few files into the box on my desk. Manager Jon approaches, his brows knitted in concern.
"Secretary Lucas, why are you resigning so suddenly?"
I offer him a small smile. "Manager, I've been thinking about this for a long time. I just feel… it's the right time."
He sighs, clearly disappointed. "Secretary Lucas, we're really going to miss you. You've been such a help to everyone here."
His sincerity warms me, and I bow my head slightly. "Thank you, Manager. That means a lot."
He hesitates for a moment, then adds, "The whole staff wants to give you a farewell dinner. Let me know when you're free, I'll plan it."
I nod. "Thank you again, Manager."
