Dydra's actions left Oryen puzzled. She was not expecting a reaction like that. Where was she headed to? Should she go after her? Oryen contemplated for few seconds, before heading out of the cottage. The girl was too young to be left alone in the woods at this hour. When she finds her and the girl fails to come with her, the Inui witch will be forced to use magic on her. Perhaps she will teleport them, but then would the girl react the same way she did the first time? Oryen pushed the thought away with, "I will know when I find her."
A frown settled on Oryen's face as she noticed rain drops from the sky, she wasn't too far from her cottage, so she headed back. She recalled the clothing and the girl had on, and grabbed two heavy coats. She put on one, and hung the other over her arm like an accessory. Once again, she stepped out of her cottage, using the girl's energy to track her.
Dydra's ocean blue eyes stared deep into the pair of midnight eyes. She had goosebumps as she felt his warm breath on her face. For some bizzare reason, she was captivated by the eyes. It was as though there was a scenery playing in them that she could not look away from. As his big form shielded her from the rain and the brightness the lightening brought, she could not get a clear view of his face.
The water drops on the red-haired girl's face, slowly slid down, and Leonard's eyes followed it, till it was no longer in sight. His gaze was now fixed on her face features. Few strands of her hair clung on her forehead, her thick red lashes fluttered every now and then, as her icy blue eyes stared at him. Her black pink lips were parted, and he felt her breathing through it, her hot breath on his face. What was a girl with such beautiful doing in the woods by this time of the night? He questioned inwardly, with his eyes zeroing at her.
A sudden lightening finally got Dydra back to her senses and a shy smile formed on her lips. She avoided his gaze, letting go of his collar, she straightened her posture, stepping away from him.
"I-i am sorry, about that." She apologized shyly in embarrassment, still avoiding his gaze. Having never been this close to the opposite gender, blood rushed up the young witch's face, but lucky for her, her ebony skin had masked it. Previously, she had felt the fabric texture of his collar, noticing it was made of silky—which only meant that he was from a wealthy home. Though he had been the one to scare her, she took the initiative to apologize as the wealthy are known for their arrogance and bad temper—she was in no position to make fights with them.
Her words fell on deaf ears, as Leonard's mind or gaze was on something else. Rain drops continued to pour down, soaking the cloth she wore. His eyes caught a drop that fell on her chest slidding down to the swell of her bosom, and finally being absorbed by the fabric.
The already fitted dress, now clung on Dydra's body, highlighting her slim waist, and showcasing the swell of her lady melons. His breath heavily, and a flicker of annoyance slid through his eyes. Why was he not able to take his eyes off her? He has seen numerous pretty girls, as he travels alot, so why was he so captivated by the body of this random girl? This wasn't like him and he was irritated by the fact that he couldn't control himself.
Dydra sensed his gaze on her body and she immediately became self-conscious. Her hands wrapped itself around her body, and she knew it was her cue to leave. There was already enough problem on her palate, and was not about to add more by staying with the stranger any longer than she has.
She bowed out of respect and turned to take her leave, but then she recalled something. Where was Speed?
Her heart skipped a beat. Where did her horse go? She has to get out of there as the last two times she was in the woods—one with Jerry and the other in the cave, she was at great disadvantage. She could feel his gaze lingering on her back and she felt unease. She suddenly recalled the way Leonard —the fat carriage guy who tried to rape her, stared at her. Her chest rose and her heart beat quickened. She has to get out of there! Her bare foot stepped forward slowly, so as not to take the pervert off guard, because she knew that if she decided to run, he could easily catch up to her as her feet aren't really good with speed.
Leonard took notice of this and he finally snapped, the frown on his face deepening.
"Apologies for my behaviour, my lady." He said to the girl whose shoulders tensed up on hearing his voice.
The young witch stood stiff, not knowing how to react. D-did he just address her as 'my lady?'
In the rules of their kingdom, only the wealthy are addressed as 'lord' and 'lady'. Being a woman that of zero title, Dydra found this really strange and not wanting to get into any sort of trouble as she was in the woods and far far away from civilization—anything could happen to her and nothing will be done about it as she wasn't a woman of status.
She bit her lower lip and stump one of her foot in utter annoyance. Her little action did not go unnoticed by Leonard, whose eyes were filled with amusement. But he also wondered why she was not with any shoes.
Taking a deep breath, Dydra swiftly turn around and bowed immediately, not making eye contact with him, as it was considered rude, if she as a poor person, stared at the wealthy.
"My lord, I am a woman who does not hold a title. I sincerely apologize for not making it clear to you, before you addressed me." She didn't rise, as she felt the cold breeze biting against her bare shoulders, her eyes fixed on the forest ground.
Again, her words were not heard by Leonard as his eyes were on her bosom. Due to the fact that she bowed, she had reveal a healthy amount of her melons, and his eyes couldn't look away from them, which irritated him. His lips twitched, was she doing this one purpose? Was she sent here by someone to seduce him? Because why would a beautiful girl with clothes that showed her shoulders and chest be in the forest? Someone must have known he would be here and planted her there. That thought alone vexed him and he commanded with authority. "Rise."
