Chapter 36 - Chapter 36: The Lively Drama Festival

"I'll do my best."

Mystogan's expression was serious. Finding a way to return to Edolas with others had already become his next major research focus.

Of course, he would not abandon the matter of confronting the "Anima" magic.

This time, Mystogan accompanied Moen, Makarov, and the others back to the guild only to familiarize himself with the place. Later, he would continue traveling across the world to combat the "Anima."

Mystogan would not remain permanently in Fairy Tail.

The four of them left Cait Shelter and soon arrived in Crocus. They bought train tickets, traveling straight to Onibas.

The reason they did not return directly to Magnolia was, of course, that Moen still had tasks to submit; his mission requests had not yet been completed.

"Perfect timing. I heard the Cyras Theater Troupe is performing, and other famous troupes are here too. We can watch their shows in Onibas before heading back. It's been a while since we last saw a performance."

On the train, Makarov spoke enthusiastically about the theater performances.

Onibas, known as the "City of Drama," had a very famous grand theater in the city.

Well-known troupes from the Fiore Kingdom often came here to perform. Sometimes, even troupes famed across the entire Ishugal continent would come. Whenever this happened, Onibas became extremely lively, forming what had effectively become a regular festival.

"Grandpa Makarov, are the plays fun to watch?"

Wendy sat in her seat, gripping the edge of the chair with both hands, her legs swinging slightly in the air. She asked Makarov with a curious expression.

"Of course. Not just plays—there are all sorts of performances. Very interesting. How about I take you all to watch one?"

Makarov said this to Wendy with a face full of kindness. While Moen went to submit his task, he could take Wendy and Mystogan to watch the troupe's performance.

"Okay!"

Wendy replied happily. Children's moods changed quickly; she had already shaken off the sadness of parting. Now her heart was filled more with anticipation for Fairy Tail.

Mystogan, however, was not very interested in theater performances. The pressure he carried was immense, leaving him no time for leisure.

Makarov voiced mild criticism about this. He believed that too much pressure would hinder progress; people needed to learn to balance work and rest.

"If the string is always stretched too tight, it will eventually snap. You must maintain tension and relaxation appropriately."

Makarov offered this advice to Mystogan, though it had little effect. Mystogan was stubborn, like a mule.

Moen shook his head with a smile. Some things could not be forced. Unless Mystogan removed the burdens he carried, he simply could not relax.

By now, they all knew that Mystogan's status was very high—he was a prince of the Edolas Human Kingdom, and his father, the king, was the originator of all this.

This was why Mystogan's pressure was so great. He believed he had to bear part of his father's sins. Every time someone was harmed by the "Anima," he felt a portion of the guilt resting on his shoulders.

Such a sense of responsibility was truly admirable, but it made life exhausting.

Moen understood that only by completely ending all of this could Mystogan return to normal—and they would do everything to help him!

Holding the newly acquired Cloth Repair Manual, Moen studied it carefully, absorbing the knowledge of how to repair the Cloth.

In fact, it did not only cover methods for repairing Cloths, but also explained how to enhance them using items such as "God's Blood."

This Cloth Repair Manual was extremely useful, essentially serving as a user's guide for Cloths. It clearly indicated that, beyond basic functions, the Cloths possessed other abilities.

When Moen achieved a sufficiently high level of compatibility with a Cloth, putting it on allowed him to use the special abilities of that constellation, even if he had not personally mastered them.

Once he mastered a skill of a certain constellation, wearing the Cloth of that constellation would further enhance the skill.

In short, the Cloths had innate abilities and could mutually amplify skills—the effects were indeed very powerful.

This made Moen's heart burn with excitement. He felt that the Equuleus Bronze Cloth was nearly complete.

Perhaps because Equuleus and Pegasus were adjacent constellations, he could faintly feel its boost even while using Pegasus Meteor Fist, which also helped him establish a connection with Equuleus.

"Keep it up!"

With renewed determination, Moen continued reading with great interest.

The train traveled steadily. After a few stops, it arrived at Onibas.

"Finally here, Onibas. It really is lively."

The group disembarked and already felt the vibrant atmosphere of Onibas at the station. Many people had traveled from other cities to watch the performances.

The Onibas station was packed with tourists. Guards on duty worked hard to maintain order.

"Much more crowded than last time I came. Must be because the drama festival is approaching. So lively."

Seeing this, Moen could not help but be amazed. The Fiore Kingdom was no small place, with a population of seventeen million.

Any level of popularity could attract large crowds. The drama festival was so highly anticipated that it was no wonder Onibas was packed.

Moen immediately hoisted Wendy onto his back to prevent her from getting lost in the crowd. He, Makarov, and Mystogan then pushed through the station together—a task that required considerable effort. Though they had strength and abilities, this kind of situation limited their options.

He couldn't just use a "Pegasus Meteor Fist" to blast people away. If he did, Makarov would likely strike him first.

"Never coming here again!"

As soon as they emerged from the crowd, Makarov shouted angrily.

Moen glanced at him and could not help but suppress a smile. Makarov's back bore several large footprints, likely from being kicked in the crowd.

With Wendy on his back, Moen had forgotten about Makarov, who was also small in stature.

Of course, Makarov would feel awkward being carried. If he cared enough, he could have used magic to turn himself into a giant, but that would be a bit too extreme.

"Brother Moen, let me down, please."

Wendy murmured softly from Moen's back. Her cheeks were flushed, her expression a mix of excitement—clearly influenced by Onibas' lively atmosphere. It really was bustling here.

Moen crouched down, letting Wendy down from his back. They were about to split up. He needed to submit the task first and then meet the others at the theater.

Carrying his bag, bulging with "Magic Horns," Moen bid farewell to the other three and headed toward the task requester's mansion.

In the corner, several pairs of eyes were fixed on Moen, mana flowing.
