Chapter 295: The Battle of the Legendaries
Following Ryan's words, the numerous Legendary Pokémon roared in unison and charged towards their respective opponents. Victini faced Dialga, Diancie against Palkia, Zygarde against Primal Groudon, Kyurem against Primal Kyogre, and Xerneas against Giratina and Volcanion.
Xerneas, as a first-tier domain master, easily handled the two without domain mastery, even occasionally restoring health to its slightly disadvantaged allies. Hoopa's summoned Legendary Pokémon were completely ineffective; it was left alone against Charizard.
Charizard, now free from worries, focused solely on Hoopa. The Fire Punch reformed, withstanding Hoopa's enraged dimensional portal attack. Having caught Hoopa's arm, Charizard wasn't about to let it go so easily. The flaming claws extended, firmly gripping Hoopa's arm. A brilliant blue flame, imbued with the essence of combustion, spread from the Fire Punch to Hoopa's arm, causing Hoopa to scream in pain.
The next moment, a black, shimmering Rayquaza burst forth from a golden ring, charging towards Charizard with Dragon Ascent. Charizard immediately released Hoopa's arm, flapped its wings, and shot upwards, dodging Rayquaza's attack. Rayquaza transformed into Mega Rayquaza, unleashing a violent Air Lock that whipped up a sandstorm across the desert.
"You can even summon more? Then I'll see how many you can summon! Florges!"
Ryan threw out another Master Ball, and Florges appeared in mid-air. A Misty Terrain quickly formed, enveloping Mega Rayquaza. The violent turbulence dissipated, and the sandstorm subsided. Charizard rammed into Hoopa again, Hoopa's fist slamming heavily into Charizard's body, but the flames on Charizard's body were still somewhat unbearable for Hoopa. Charizard swung its claws, leaving two more deep flame marks on Hoopa's body.
Just then, a scorching Steam Eruption surged towards Charizard. Charizard swung its claws, creating fierce flames to block the scorching gas wave, while looking towards Xerneas.
Xerneas saw Volcanion use Steam Eruption on Charizard, so it didn't need to hold back either. It lowered its head and charged straight at Giratina. Xerneas's antlers pierced heavily into Giratina's body, and Megahorn directly took away Giratina's health in one hit. Giratina and Volcanion were already struggling against Xerneas, but because Volcanion was being controlled by Hoopa to attack Charizard, Hoopa's defeat was imminent.
Having defeated Giratina in one strike, Xerneas turned around, let out a loud cry, and black clouds rapidly gathered in the sky. A bolt of Thunder struck Volcanion, rendering it unable to battle. Xerneas raised its head and proudly said, "You let these opponents who haven't even grasped the concept of a Domain fight me, and you're even distracted taking care of yourself? You really underestimate the power of a Domain!"
Since emerging from Ultra Space, Xerneas hadn't really fought seriously. Previously, it was in a weakened state, unable to fully utilize its power. But after recovering, it rarely encountered opponents with Domains, except for sparring with Florges or helping Ryan train Deoxys. This time, going all out, it was time to show everyone the difference between a Domain and raw power!
After defeating Volcanion, Xerneas turned to Primal Groudon. Xerneas let out a loud cry, raised its front legs high, and then slammed them down onto the sand. With the landing of Xerneas's front legs, powerful shockwaves spread outwards from its feet, causing the sand to ripple like ocean waves.
Zygarde, who was battling Primal Groudon, glanced back at Xerneas using Earthquake, and without a word, leaped into the air, leaving Primal Groudon, unable to fly, behind. The shockwave traveled along the ground to Groudon, and with a single Earthquake, Primal Groudon was instantly defeated.
Having dealt with Primal Groudon, Xerneas set its sights on Palkia and Dialga. These two Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon were essentially doomed to be instantly defeated by the Fairy-type Xerneas; there was no other possibility.
As Hoopa fought Charizard, it watched as the Legendary Pokémon it had summoned fell one by one to Xerneas's attacks. This sense of frustration nearly drove Hoopa mad.
"Hoopa is strong! Hoopa won't lose! Even stronger ones, come here! Gotcha!"
Hoopa defended against Charizard's attacks, creating a golden ring to summon another Legendary Pokémon. But this time, no Legendary Pokémon appeared, or rather, Hoopa couldn't summon a stronger one. It could only summon Legendary Pokémon of similar or lower strength; summoning one stronger than itself was unrealistic.
The Misty Terrain opened in the sky, and Florges calmly walked out. As the Misty Terrain gradually disappeared behind her, Rayquaza fell helplessly, crashing heavily to the ground, unable to fight.
"Damn it, Hoopa won't lose!!!"
Hoopa roared furiously, but its defeat was already inevitable. While Hoopa was enraged, Xerneas had already dealt with all the Legendary Pokémon Hoopa had summoned. Now, Ryan's Legendary Pokémon had surrounded Hoopa, awaiting Charizard's final outcome.

Simultaneously, through their bond, the power also flowed into Charizard's body. Charizard's spirits lifted, and its massive flaming claws blazed fiercely as it unleashed its strongest attack, Fire Punch, at Hoopa.
Hoopa fought back desperately with all six arms, but it was still slammed heavily to the ground by the flaming attack, losing its ability to fight.
"Huff." Ryan gasped for breath. Using dual evolution for such a long time was really taking a toll on his body. If Victini hadn't continuously channeled power into Ryan, the battle would probably have continued for quite some time.
Lillie and the others came over when they saw the battle was over. Looking at the chaotic battleground and Hoopa lying in the deep crater, Meray asked with some concern, "Is Hoopa alright?"
Ryan plopped down on the sand and said, "It's not certain yet, but the evil entity has been suppressed. From now on, it's up to Hoopa itself; after all, it's its own power, and we can only help it this far."
