Chapter 291 - Chapter 291: The Prison Bottle

Chapter 291: The Prison Bottle

Hoopa, that little rascal, probably hadn't had enough. Not long after, a golden ring reappeared above the donut, and a small hand reached out again, grabbing at it.

How could Ryan miss such a good opportunity? With lightning speed, he reached out and grabbed Hoopa's little hand. Hoopa felt its hand being grabbed and struggled in panic, but Ryan's strength was no joke. After years of training, dealing with a Hoopa whose power was sealed was more than enough.

Holding Hoopa's little hand firmly, Ryan stood up and said to Lillie, "Wait here for a moment, I'll be right back."

With that, Ryan reached out and grabbed the edge of the golden ring, shrinking his body and disappearing into it. Ryan led Hoopa's arm to the other side of the golden ring, which gradually disappeared before Lillie's eyes, until it vanished completely.

Lillie shook her head helplessly. It seemed that the ring from earlier must be Hoopa's move, and it looked quite useful—at least it could be used as a teleportation portal.

On the other side, Hoopa called out, pulling Ryan over. Even with Ryan grabbing its arm, it still held onto the donut in its hand. Seeing that Ryan was looking at it, Hoopa shrunk the ring and hung it on its horn, calmly smiling, "Were you surprised?"

"I'm alright. But why did you steal our food?" Ryan pointed to the donut in Hoopa's hand, while scrutinizing Hoopa's appearance.

Hoopa was a small, pink and gray Pokémon. It had a ponytail on its head, and two upward-curving horns on the sides of its head, each with a golden ring hanging from it. There was also a ring pattern on its forehead, and it always had a mischievous grin on its face. It had a pink V-shaped pattern on its belly, two short arms that floated in the air detached from its body, a third golden ring around its waist, no lower limbs, and a small gray tail below the ring.

Hoopa quickly devoured a donut, a mischievous grin spreading across its face. "This is an offering, an offering. Hoopa can grant your wish."

Ryan smiled. "Your name is Hoopa, right? Well, my wish is for you to travel with me."

"No, no! Meray said anyone who tries to take me away is a bad person. Hoopa can't grant your wish." Hoopa circled Ryan a few times, saying this.

Ryan calmly looked at the mischievous Hoopa, sighing inwardly; his plan had failed. Then Ryan said, "I'm not a bad person. My name is Ryan. So please bring my fiancée over."

"Ryan, fiancée? What's that?" Hoopa asked curiously.

"A fiancée is someone you love, someone you've gone through a ceremony with, someone you'll be with forever."

Ryan began explaining to Hoopa. Hoopa nodded, seemingly understanding, and then said, "A fiancée is a good thing. Hoopa likes it, so Hoopa will get one too!"

After speaking, the golden ring on the right flew out and rapidly expanded in front of Ryan, growing to be more than a meter tall before stopping. A blue vortex then appeared within the ring, and Ryan peered into it, discovering that the other side was exactly where he and Lillie had been resting. Lillie also saw the enormous golden ring and Ryan's head emerging from it.

"Come on over, everything's alright here," Ryan said.

Lillie nodded, then passed through the golden ring and, upon reaching Ryan, found Hoopa. Hoopa shrunk the golden ring and put it back on its right horn, then grinned mischievously and said, "Were you surprised?"

Just then, a girl in white ran over, holding a donut. She looked at Hoopa helplessly, "Hoopa, you're causing trouble again! Didn't I tell you not to play pranks? Sorry, you two, Hoopa has caused you trouble. Let me introduce myself, I'm Meray, and this little guy is Hoopa."

"Hello, I'm..."

"Ryan, and your fiancée!" Hoopa said with a mischievous grin, circling around Ryan and Lillie a few times, interrupting Ryan.

Ryan was somewhat exasperated; Hoopa was being a little too lively at this moment. However, Ryan still explained, "My name is Ryan. This is my fiancée, Lillie. As for us, our purpose is actually to take Hoopa with us."

He got straight to the point, leaving Lillie stunned. Meray's smile gradually faded, and she became wary of Ryan and Lillie.

"I know you'll doubt our intentions if I say this, but I feel it's better to be frank. I'm being honest to let you know we're not bad people. I learned about the Pokémon Hoopa from some ancient texts, and frankly, I'm quite interested in Hoopa's power. I also hope to capture Hoopa; we can discuss that. If Hoopa doesn't want to, I won't force it. However, I hope you will protect Hoopa well in the future, because a great war will occur in this world, and we need Hoopa's power. Without Hoopa's power, this world may very well be destroyed."

Ryan spoke sincerely, but from Meray's eyes, he saw a slight decrease in wariness, but more so, she regarded him and Lillie as crazy. Ryan had no choice but to unleash his trump card.

"Don't think we're crazy. The pendant around your neck, that wheel design, must be related to Arceus, right? I can tell you with absolute certainty that I summoned Arceus before. You don't believe me, but you should at least believe in Arceus."

Meray chuckled, practically saying, "Keep making things up."

Seeing Meray's stubbornness, Ryan said with a headache, "Your goal is the Prison Bottle, right? You want to release Hoopa's power from it, right?"

Hearing this, Meray's expression finally changed, her face turning serious. "You've been tracking us?"

"No, you're overthinking it. I'm just telling you that sealing Hoopa's power for a hundred years was absolutely a mistake. That power has already formed an evil entity. If it's released now, Hoopa will destroy the entire Dahara City!"
